first of all- I totally empathise with you. Morning sickness SUCKS!!! I am so over it right now- lol...... ahhh, pity us world!
I do find that ginger and lemon tea helps, as does smelling fresh mint leaves.
I can't stomach meat at the moment- and I figure that is for a good reason.
I'm eating lots of fresh salads and fruit - I find that eating anything 'refreshing' helps somewhat.
Some people find significant relief with homeopathic remedies and acupuncture (make sure you tell the acupuncturist that you are pregnant though).
The most important factor in reducing/preventing nausea is purification of your liver prior to pregnancy. When you fall pregnant- your body tries to eliminate as many toxins as it can in order to protect the unborn child. This combined with raising hormone levels, can make you feel dreadful! Unfortunately liver-tonic herbs are not suitable to take during pregnancy - but if its any consolation, doing a liver detox program prior to your next pregnancy will significantly reduce the nausea for you.
DH and I did a killer detox in the UK before conceiving DS #1- we felt nauseous and headachey throughout the detox but by the end of it we felt fantastic and very 'light'. Hence when we conceived, most of the c**p in my body was eliminated and I suffered very minimal nausea. This time around I was unable to detox before conception as I was still breastfeeding. Now I am suffering BIG time!!!!
As tempting as it is- KFC etc will only prolong the nausea in the long run as it is highly processed and contains additives like 621 (MSG) which will only give your liver more work to do. Try to eat simple, plain, fresh foods as much as possible. Hopefully it will pass for us all soon!
