Awww Cass, I hate when they don't tell you all the info!! And that does sound unusual that the doc couldnt refer you to the hospital for the scan.. Maybe they wouldnt do the scan there because if their machines arent that great, it might mean they arent really meant to do the scan for the nuchal thickness. It might also have something to do with their insurance, or something.. not sure.

Is that scan you are talking about the same thing as NT scan? If so, I got a medicare rebate of $60 or so for it when I did it. I had to pay in full then go to a medicare office and get the money back for it, they woudlnt give me the rebate on the spot, and it does count towards the safety net.

Well I hope you can find a place in time to have the scan. Hopefully theres somewhere a little more helpful.
