I had a text message in my drafts, that I only needed to add date, time and weight to. For the twins I had to add names too as we didn't know what we were having. It meant that everyone, including all our relatives in Scotland, would find out at the same time and nobody could spoil the news for anyone else. I know a lot of people think a text is quite impersonal but we explained to everyone what we were intending to do, and included my hospital telephone number in the text, so they could all phone me back
