I still eat ham when I feel like it (which is rarely), pineapple, mayo, takeaway salads, lick the bowl etc. I'm careful about where I buy things from, and I wouldn't buy food court rice! Not having alcohol or soft mouldy cheeses though (ie still eat fetta). I'm more concerned about the toxins going through the placenta from cleaning products, makeup, food chemicals etc etc.

I miss SUSHI the most when pregnant!! I really really miss it when pregnant.....

BUT it just means when I'm not pregnant, like now, I can have heaps of it to make up for what I missed out on

Besides pregnancy is so worth missing out on it anyway!

eggs benedict and chocolate mousse. MMmmmmmmmm. My daughter had a chocolate mousse yesterday and I swear it nearly killed me watching her eat it.

What's the problem with pineapple? I just bought a big yummy one yesterday. Please don't tell me I can't eat it!!

I'm missing sushi a lot this time round. I'm a lot more relaxed about what I'm allowing myself to eat and drink this pregnancy but I haven't touched sushi since the first week. I'd make it myself but my one and only attempt was useless so I'm avoiding disappointment!

I'm also missing brie and blue cheese. Runny eggs would be nice now and then too. Only 10ish weeks to go - woohoo!

PS: normal mayo from the supermarket is fine too even the egg mayos as they are pasturised. it's only freshly made mayos that are risky as they often contain raw eggs.

Normal ice cream is perfectly fine too

Pineapple is perfectly fine and a great option to eat while pregnant (better than all them packets of chips atleast). Yes, its been known to get you into labour but you need to eat atleast 9 whole, fresh pineapples. Im assuming it brings on labour because after that many, your bound to be throwing up out of both ends!

I'm going to a wedding tonight, and I will probably feel a little sad that I can't have a glass of bubbly.
    At least I won't have a hangover!

    sushi and soft serve

my SIL makes awesome (vegie) handrolls. Last christmas when i was UTD she made all the ingredients and i stuffed myself. I have put in my order for this christmas too!

And i am missing Baileys this time! I am not a big drinker but a baileys on ice just sounds devine right now. I'm going to have a bottle in the fridge to celebrate when bub arrives.

I have been a lot more relaxed about what I eat this time. My only "don'ts" is Wine and real Coffee. I don't eat a lot of cheese and definately do not eat sushi etc but I have had the occasional bit of ham, salami, Maccas sundae and thickshakes, wendys shakes, spicy food, various fruits, dips you name it.

My only reasons for avoiding REAL coffee is the caffeine levels (think its 300mg per day) which is equiv to 1 GOOD cup of coffee. But I do have several cups of tea and have a good quality decaf coffee that I can still brew.

Only reason for Wine, is the fact that its alcohol and I wouldn't like to think my baby is drunk (god knows a sniff is enough to tip me over )

but yeah pretty much everything else I am still eating, even had the occasional fresh egg with runny yolk but it was from my girls that day.

Belle - bocconcini is safe, it's a form of mozzarella, and is pasteurised, unlike soft cheeses (i.e. brie, Camembert)

    Chocolate mousse???

Dh got fish and chips for dinner...... Mmmmmmm fish

No flake!!!!! But I did have a piece of low mercury whiting YUMMO

Gorgeous man bought me iced tea not realizing it still had caffeine in it lol.

Here's a question how many cups of black tea/coffee is too many?

I only drink tea- normally chocolate or vanilla flavoured black, some days I have 2 others I realize Ive had 4.

I do also love Lipton decaf tea so maybe I'll buy some of that but I've also heard that its just as bad??

chocolate mousse made the normal way has raw egg - raw or runny egg is not good for preggo peeps.

caffeine - I think you can have 300mg a day, so the kind of coffee/tea/cola/chocolate you have will dictate how much you can have. Proper espresso coffee has a lot more caffeine in it than instant - but most ice coffee is made with espresso ... you can find tables which go through how much caffeine there is in all sorts of different things. It's worth checking out.

Re decaf, my understanding is that it's a lot better in terms of the amount of caffeine (there is still some, but a very small amount. So if you've been told not to have *any* caffeine, then you should still avoid decafs. If you can have a moderate amount, I'm not sure why you would have been told that decaf is just as bad ... maybe ask them?

Based on the types of coffees I drink and the size and strength I make them, I know that I can have two small real coffees, or three big instant coffees.

Most days I just have one (or no) real coffee, and then have decaf though, to err on the safer side.

I don't really drink cola products or eat chocolate, so I don't need to include them in my calculations

Most cheese products in Australia are made from pasteurized milk (legally need to be pasteurized here - some craft cheeses don't though) so of you check the ingredients list you may still be able to have some soft cheeses - I know I found that out when pg with DS - I just made myself not eat it if it had been out of the fridge for more than 1 hr.
