ahhh MrsB, people never tell you the good things. I kept on replying to all the negativity at work with positive stuff. And strangely, it was blokes who were giving me the horror stories. I'd just tell them that for most people, most pregnancies, giving birth is no worse than a large bowel movement. And I'm sure they've all done one of those. And I'd tell them about my wonderful husband who ensured I got enough sleep and how supportive he is. (they also didn't like that). They'd tell me about the sleepless nights to come, and I'd refute with how I spent the first 6 weeks on the jason recliner, so Pip could sleep, and I could sleep, and he could feed, and I could watch teev, and it was good. People don't want to know the good news, they just want the bad. They just want to see how you fail, not how you succeed.
Do your research on the good, let it prop you up, and ignore them. They have no idea what it is like to live in a world with hope and happiness.
