hehehe gotta love the chatter that happens in these threads. you become a mummy, and you actively discuss your bubba's toileting habits!
BW - i read your post and i know we discussed the allergy thing at length when you were contemplating starting Sam on solids. i have also done a lot of reading to go with it, and i agree that holding off solids til 6 months (or as close to as possible) and then introducing foods helps to reduce the risk od allergies developing. there is also a lot out there that now says that foods such as peanuts that may cause allergic reaction are best introduced (just a little) before the 12 month mark (unless there is a known allergy in the family) - the only thing that seems to say to hold off until 12 months is honey, which makes sense (botulism risk).
we started introducing low risk foods, and have gradually introduced pretty much everything now. as i've probably mentioned, we live at least 15k's from a pharmacy, 30k's from the hospital - doesn't sound like much, but it can be a long trip if something is happening (like allergic reaction!) so the "high risk" foods have been introduced at mum's place when we've had a couple of hours to hang around and check on DD. she hasn't had much in the way of peanuts (just a scraping of peanut butter on a slice of bread) - but she had no reaction - means i'm not so worried about introducing satay back into our diet now!

, lucky I have cloth nappies on the change table for any accidents. I then made him rinse the nappy out and get the soaker bucket organised.

They were yucky, but he seems fine now. Last time he got quite drowzy so I will watch for that again, especially hearing about KellyD's Tara's symptoms.
