Welcome Lise. If it was me I wouldn't wake to feed but it really depends on whether LO is having plenty of wet nappies or not. Lyla when she was about 5 months (teething) when for a whole morning without any milk (she refuses) and only one wet nappy by 1 pm, I had to feed her every hour or so just so she get enough fluid.
Thanks for the birthday wishes.
good luck Kelly.
Congrats Smithy.
Murph, want to speak to you so I am going to PM you.
Green... glad to hear DH will be doing fulltime dad.. but you are so very brave... I don't I could trust my DH to be a fulltime dad within the first 12 months. He does everything go but struggles a little when things go pear shape... which is all the time with a bub.
BW.. poor you... so far in our household only Lyla and DH get sick... somehow God always spare me... to take care of all...
Hi to anyone else I have missed.
AFU, we had the biggest 1st birthday party with over 100 guest! Lyla had a wonderful time and everyone was so thrilled to see how she had grown, walking and interacting with others... so sociable. .. she's mimicking words we say...sorry got to run.. will further update later... never seem to get the time to do proper posts.
Thanks Marcellus and Kahlan for your thoughts. We took him to the clinic this morning to get weighed and he's put on 325g in one week so the MACH nurses were quite happy to let him go longer as long as he continues to have a good number of nappies and a good weight gain. I must admit as much as i'm enjoying the good night sleeps I feel a bit neglectful letting him sleep so long during the day but I guess I know he's putting on enough (more than enough!!) weight so should all be good. Marcellus - can I ask who Barb is? I still want to talk to a lactation consultant about the shields and attachment issues.
Ooops, I have an awake baby so better dash. Hope all are going well
Oh sorry, Barb Glare, our resident bf guru. Pop in over at the breastfeeding help & support forum too if you want.
That's a great weight gain. Enjoy the rest while you can, you never know how long it'll last anyway! Just keep an eye on things - always better to jump on any potential problems before they become major ones (though obviously I hope you won't have more problems!).
Hi Kahlan! Wow, that's a big party! Sounds like your little one is doing wonderfully
BW, don't say that! Let's have a break from illness
DS was up last night with a temperature and vomitting (well more like dry retching poor poppet, as his tummy was nearly empty). Very little sleep but he's bright as a button today
