    Hi All,

    Well, have some news !

Had my show Sunday morning and leaked all day eewwwww. No contractions but called the hospital at 5pm and they told me to go in. They put the monitors on me for heart & movement and all was fine. Branxton Hicks were noted but not strong enough to be contractions. Test was done to see if there was any amnio and that came back neg so waters havent broken but definately had the show. Was sent home at 11pm last night to a continual broken sleep.

Confused now as everyone has a story. Some are saying labour starts within 24hrs of show, some say 3 days, some have said they went 2 weeks. The phone & mobile has been running hot all day and I am so disappointed it didnt happen. I really hit the gutter. I was so excited thinking that my waters had ruptured and so upset when they said that they hadnt. Just means Im still playing the waiting game. Have my OB appt tomorrow which I am not looking forward to cos I feel stupid going in there when it was nothing but a show. Oh well, back to 'ol faithful lounge & dvd's.

Winter is here now so try to keep warm & well.

Well done Lis! What awesome awesome news!!!
A very big welcome to baby Emma (gorgeous name). I'm so glad you're both safe and well, and I look forward to hearing updates too. xo

TL - anything happening?? Sorry to hear you got all worked up only to be let down. I too have heard that after a show it can happen quickly, or still take a couple of weeks, but I REALLY hope for your sake that it's sooner rather than later. How'd you go at the Obs??

Nic - phew!! Glad you've finally been booked in to the hospital. Could've been interesting if you'd arrived all ready to go, and they weren't expecting you. So when's the c/s date? I've a feeling it could even be you after TL?? I have no signs of my body gearing up for labour, so am mentally preparing myself for going over.

Our Ob said he'd be happy to let me go 10-14 days over if I'm travelling well. I'm not sure I like the sound of going that far over, but will just wait and see how things pan out. I guess the one good thing with going that far over is that we may get the increased baby bonus (EDD = 20th June), but really, am not overly fussed about that. Just give me a safe, healthy baby in my arms, and I'll be one very happy lady. I'm just sooooo looking forward to breathing the hugest sigh of relief when that happens.

    Time for bed!
    Hi to everyone else.
