    morning all,

Let me first say that I love the Christmas season, but it's also the time of year when we have loads of staff off on holidays and work starts getting really hectic. Having said that, only 6 more working days until my own two weeks of annual leave! Yay!

I try to get in here and post every few days and I check your webpages almost daily, so even if I'm not so good at posting personals at the moment, please know I'm thinking about you all, and will catch up with everyone soon.

As for me, no news is good news. Put a belly shot taken yesterday arvo by DH on the webpage, after finally overcoming my embarrassment. The tummy looks bigger than I imagined, but maybe it's the angle! And yes, I have a lot of tattoos! Lol!

to everyone. Hoping it will be a slow day at work today (yeah right!)

    love

    Jacci,

they sure have been! My little butterflies are staring to look like dragons! I have two intertwined geckos lower on my tummy and DH keeps joking that they look like Komodo dragons already!

The geckos were prior to my last pg, so they're stretched anyway. I am hoping that after 3 pgs and no stretch marks above the belly button, that my butterflies are going to come away from this unscathed, but knowing my luck.....

Don't get me wrong, I love being and looking pg, but am starting to worry about how big I'll be in later weeks. I want a gorgeous compact little belly! Don't supposed you'd want to swap? Lol!

Like Shell, I find the April thread really hard to keep track of, but by no means does it mean I don't want to have a yarn and compare notes with you lovely ladies.

You have a lovely belly Sush! Hehe, when you said you had a *lot* of tattoos, I was thinking that perhaps your whole body was covered. Hope your butterflies behave themselves and don't metamorphose.

Sush, I agree, your belly is so cute! I also imagined 'full body' tatts when you posted!!

Gab, wow past the 38w and officially munchy now due...how do you feel? Nervous at all? Just excited? Are you fully ready (bags packed etc etc)?

Ergh, am up early 'cos got a bad calf cramp in bed half an hour ago. Yeesh they can hurt!

Tiff, how're you going, medically and emotionally at the mome?

I bought a book called 'No One Right Way', it was recommended by the midwife running the antenatal classes. Instead of being a pregnancy book which leaves only a few pages for how one actually looks after a bub, this book focuses almost entirely on the first three months of bub's life. It is a great book, but I'm not trying to spruik it or anything, just telling about it because as I read it and see the pics of newborn bubs I am starting to get such a welling up of excitement and maternal feeling, it is just amazing!

    Hey Everyone

Awwww Sush your belly is so cute. I know what you mean about realising how massive you're going to get though - I have come to the same realisation lately! I've gone from putting on no weight to putting on about 6 kg in a few weeks, it does only seem to be going on my belly though so we'll see how long that lasts!

Sal nice to see you back and OMG you're 31 weeks! It's getting exciting in here with bellies due to pop anytime soon.

As for me, no news is good news - nothing to report really. That nasty hayfever has calmed down thank goodness. The snoring has continued though! I bought some of those breath easy nasal strips that you stick on your nose and they kind of work, very sexy in bed too!! The good thing was that DH had to clean out the spare room so he could sleep in the spare bed. hehe!

Have another midwife appointment this morning but that's pretty much it! Have finished painting the nursery so will post photos once it's getting put together. I'll try to remember to do belly shots too.

    Take care everyone.

    Hey girls,

Sush, LOVE the belly, love the butterflies! i have one on my ankle and DH reckons when my ankle swells it turns into a terradactyl! (sp?) We lovingly call it the moth.

Gab, glad to hear all is going well for you and munchy, hopefully, he will make an appearance soon. Well, we KNOW he is going to come soon, all babies have to come out sooner or later!

Sal, that book sounds great, so much focus is on the labour and birth and women spend so little time in hospital now that after birth education goes out the window alot of the time. How are you, anyway? Can we have a belly shot yet?

As for me, went to the doctor yesterday, two hours for a ten minute consult YUCK. They've upped the insulin and smacked me on the hand for not phoning to tell them my sugars were still out of whack, Ivy and Noah are fine, Noah is head down (ironic when it's going to be a LSCS) and Ivy is transverse, accross the top of my belly. I told him all about the pain along my scar, the two scary days, the dizziness and fainting. So he repeated my iron, sent me for a uterine thickness scan and booked me for admission on the 30th and said hang in there. The scan showed that the lower segment is very stretched and quite thin but still intact. I could have told them that cos if the uterus had ruptured the three of us would not be here. I did argue with the doctor about the scan because in my mad researching of uterine rupture I found articles that stated that u/s was a poor indicator of thickness, dihissence and rupture but he said it would be good. When I got there, the u/s doctor said exactly the same thing to me that I had argued with the doctor about. *SIGH* ](*,)
Anyhow, emotionally, I am much the same I fight with myself constantly and stress.. I haven't seen my dad this week yet. my mum is having a baby shower for us on Sunday (my first ever) and he said he MIGHT drop in then. I guess when it comes to the birth of these babies, everyone has a personal opinion as to where I should be. Alot of my midwife friends say I should just go to hospital now due to all the pain and the stress associated with it, on the other hand, I have to take into consideration the other kids and David and our lack of help until December. Maddy, the second of the elder twins (that sounds weird) is such a stress head and worries alot about where I will be and if I will be ok. All the kids are anxious. The other thing with going into hospital is that I will lose my main support system (David) because he will have to be home with the kids.

Rambling now, sorry, just nutting it out with you.

Amy, glad to hear that all is well with you too

Shell, good luck for today, can't wait until we know the flavour!

    Jo, how are you going?

Tam, how are things with you? Do those steroids hurt?

Gotta go, going to town with a friend for her u/s to see how many eggies she's got brewing for harvest!

    Morning Girls!!

How are we today - a fine Thursday morning!! I say fine, because it is cool!!! And I like it that way soooo much better, LOL!!

Sal - Nice to see you back! How do I feel - Great!! Nervous? - no, cause at this stage I don't know what to fear, so I am not fearing it or being nervous about it, if that makes sense.... Hmmm, fully ready - well, as ready as we are ever gonna be I reckon! Although last night I had a dream that I forgot to pack hubby some swimmers and he ran around the hospital in the nuddy like me..... so, off to check this morning, LOL! Oh and WOW - look at you - 31w already!! Not long to go for you now either!

I have all these funny emotions though - on one hand I am so excited about finally getting to meet Munchy, and not having some of these aches and pains, and getting rid of my hobbit feet... But on the other hand, I feel a sense of loss already that he will be out of my belly. I think I will miss the little gentle kicks (and the not so gentle ones too!), the hiccups, the only me knowing when he is moving, what he is doing and having him with me all the time. Does that make sense??

I have and am loving pg so much, and cannot get over the miracle of actually making a little person, and I think part of my fear/sense of loss is the thought that just maybe (I pray not) this may be the only time we get to do this, you know??

Anyway, enough of my depressing introspection.... LOL!! It is all good!! And yep, we are excited!!

Jo - how is it going?? Got rid of that pesky ringworm from kitties yet??

NZGirl - Glad to hear your hayfever is settling. I have the same problem when the polyns come out or the westerly wind hits in summer.... My poor nose/sinuses and eyes!! Glad to hear all is well, and well, I subscribe to the same philosophy - no news is good news!! Oh, I have put on 13kg in total now.. (swallows loudly...), but I gave up worrying about it - I figure as long as Munchy is happy and healthy I can exercise and diet to my hearts content when he is out, LOL!! I think having such sore pelvis, and split pubic bones which has meant NO exercise, and I mean NO exercise for months has probably something to do with it. Besides my ankle swelling now goes to my knees, so I figure there is a few kg in that too!! (Who am I trying to convince most, hey???)

Tiff - yep, you are right, all bubbies gotta come out sooner or later... As I said I have an end date - if he is not here by the 5th or 6th of Dec that is when the obs want to induce me anyway.... (It was my choice though to wait a week over my due date - he was happy to induce anytime I wanted after 38w.....). I just wonder how big he'll be..... I am glad to hear they have slapped your wrist re your sugars - you should know better matey... (I know, easy said, hard to do...). I am glad your uterus is holding up, and also glad they are keeping a close eye on you. Please accept lots of hugs ())()()()()()()(), and keep your chin up. You are doing ever so well to hold it all together and dealing with everything on your plate - we are all really proud of you. It is not long to go now till your little lady and little man enter the world, and things will seem better then, I am sure! Will you be able to keep in touch with us from the hospital??? (We'd miss you otherwise!!)

Well, I have blabbered on again... sorry girls! Better go and do some ironing, and will catch up later!

Big hello and belly rubs to all those I missed in personals! Hope you are all well and busy growing babies!
