Paula, any pain will be temporary. The joy your baby girl brings will be forever. Fear of pain seems normal to me and no doubt I'll be the same when I get to that stage! I was scared of how painful the recovery would be after my lap. I did everything I could to prepare and in the end it wasn't as bad as expected. It did hurt, but I barely used the pain meds (panadeine forte and voltaren) they sent home with me from the hospital because it was tolerable without them. I guess my point is that I used the fear to motivate me to prepare things beforehand so that I had an easier time when recovering.

Gotta go. Just found out the report-from-hell is preventing me from taking a day off tomorrow as planned (again) and I'm really p*ssed off now...
