Hi all you beautiful ladies!
Thanks Paula, Brunette & Renee for your input on bras - I'm a 14D so found the same problem with the underwires Renee. Luckily I found some comfy ones the other day at Target - 2 for $35! I'm stoked, as the ones at Myer were $45 each and not nearly as comfortable. I'm slightly concerned about a lot of the mono-boob bras out there though, where they make 2 BBs merge into 1?! Tried a couple of them on, oh my god, I looked like my nanna!
LondonMiss - am dead pleased that you stood up to that OB! Way to goHopefully she'll think twice about dismissing another patient so easily. Its a pet hate of mine, doctors that don't listen to their patients... had a doc tell me once that I had wind and I should take De-Gas, when I actually had endo and PCOS, don't get me started
Fantastic news that the fibroids aren't in the way of anything. Hope time is not ticking away too slowly for you... I'm sure it is, though! One thing is for certain, that baby WILL come out.
Paula - I'm already having fears about 2 things - tearing, and having to have an epidural. The former is understandable I guess (although I'll be doing everything I can to prevent it!), as for the epi - I've always had issues about needles and spines, makes my teeth go all tingly with fear! I've just had a girlfriend become dreadfully sick from a botched epidural too - spinal fluid leak, headaches from the leak, infection when they tried to fix the leak, on and on - she ended up back in hospital twice in the last week. So I'll be doing everything I can to avoid having an epidural, I reckon. (Ask me though when I'm in labour, could be another story...) Sounds like you are enjoying the last days/weeks of your pg, how wonderful! You sound radiant.
Renee - that's no good that MS is still hanging around! You poor chook. Good that you can get a few days of eating in though, before the next bout.it'll pass soon. Had some friends who lost their MS around 16-18 weeks. And yay for your belly popping out! Envious, I'm still just looking fat
KWYM about not being able to take advantage of the sales, we're not finding out either, and have soooo much stuff that people are lining up to give us (both boy and girl stuff), we don't need a thing! D'oh.
Juniper - BOO to the Report from Hell ruining your day off! That sucks. Hope you have a nice relaxing weekend to make up for it.
Hi to YogiBear, wantbaby, Brunette, and all that I've missed, hope you're all cooking away nicely!
AFM - not much to report, all seems to be going well. The cat is well and truly out of the bag now in terms of announcing our pg, have had a few messages from people who've heard it 2nd hand and are miffed we haven't called them! God, the pressure starts early, doesn't it?! Waiting for my belly to pop, some days its bigger than others, and I get excited, then it goes back in a bit, and I just look fat again. Ah well, soon I'll be whingeing that its in the way, so I can't complain!
Have a lovely weekend all. Must away and attend to our lamb shanks that we're having for dinner... yum...

Fear of pain seems normal to me and no doubt I'll be the same when I get to that stage! I was scared of how painful the recovery would be after my lap. I did everything I could to prepare and in the end it wasn't as bad as expected. It did hurt, but I barely used the pain meds (panadeine forte and voltaren) they sent home with me from the hospital because it was tolerable without them. I guess my point is that I used the fear to motivate me to prepare things beforehand so that I had an easier time when recovering.

Hopefully she'll think twice about dismissing another patient so easily. Its a pet hate of mine, doctors that don't listen to their patients... had a doc tell me once that I had wind and I should take De-Gas, when I actually had endo and PCOS, don't get me started

How did the 6 minutes of dramatic action go?
