LondonMiss, I swear, if our friends and family are anything to go by, the normal duration of a pregnancy is 41 weeks. We've known very few people who delivered on time or early. Most of them have been induced at a week late. Lol, "lifetime pregnant" isn't an option. Bub has just about outgrown that living space already!!
Paula, I think it's totally normal to be scared about labour. Fear of the unknown has got to be the worst, I reckon. The labour sections of books are the only sections I haven't been able to read, because I don't even want to think about it yet!
LM, Good for you on standing up to your OB. I thought it was hilarious how the more you said it was up to her, the more she panicked and finally sent you off for a scan. Good news that the fibroids aren't in the way. D-day today, huh? As others have said, lifetime PG just ain't an option. FX not long to go now.
Wantbaby2, It's a shame your DH doesn't get that you aren't up to seeing everyone straight after having a CS. I've already schooled my DP that if I need to have a CS (my OB says it's 75% likely that I will have too) then he has to be the "gatekeeper" and tell people when we are ready for visitors, and I doubt that will be when I'm in hospital recovering. We're thinking of saying just my mum and MIL, because quite frankly I don't think anything will be able to keep my mum away LOL. I totally hear you on not wanting people there other than your mum who has supported your entire journey. Maybe DH will come around, and if not then LM's suggestion is a good one I think.
Hi to YogiBear, Leabie, Juniper, CK, Renee and all the other ladies that I've missed due to my "placenta brain" as my cousin calls it
