Green hoping by your lack of imput today you are otherwise busy.
I am feeling absolutly cr@ppy. This kid needs to GET OUT. He has been very quiet today, so lets hope he is gearing up to come. I got the letter today for my admission time for the C section today, so it looks official now. This time in two weeks I will be holding him in my arms. But if he would like to make an appearance before then I can cope with that.
BDT hoping you can hold on to those girls a bit longer. I would love to send you some weight from this budda if only I knew how. He weighs almost as much as both your girls.LOL I really should share some around.
Smithy - gorgeous pics and video, how very special to see baby Charlie's first few minutes in this world - thank you!
Saph - I hope your little one makes an entrance soon so you can feel better! Will send many labour vibes your way
BDT - I baked too on the weekend though I wish I didn't because now I have a house full of triple chocolate brownies that must be eaten...! Sorry you're not feeling well and can't sleep, hopefully the girls will come soon (after growing just a tad more!) Good thing you have a pool to jump on when you need some relief! Hope your appointments go well this week.
Green - how are you going? Still with us???
Hello to everyone else, hope you're keeping cool and well! No more persies sorry as
doing this on my phone so can't scroll to the previous thread!
AFM - just trying to look after a sick DH whilst staying as far away as possible! He suddenly has a terrible tummy bug and I definitely don't want that.
Feeling the Chicklet move a bit more now which is lovely, can't wait for DH to feel the movements too. And staring to put on some weight - put more on in the last week than the previous 16 weeks! Mind you, I already had plenty of spare fat/ nutrition for the Chicklet! Bought some pregnancy undies today - thought I was destined for enormous full
brief granny undies so was glad to find some made especially for bumps
well best go check on DH. Sleep well and belly rubs to all xx
Hello all. Thanks for the video Smithy - I admit I was a little bit nervous when i opened it... but it's so touching. Thanks for sharing such a special moment with us. I hope Charlie is doing well - she looks lovely in the pics.
Lise - glad to hear you are putting on weight now! I feel the opposite, I feel like I've not got any bigger at all this week. In fact I feel rather despondent. I keep having thoughts of what if I'm not pregnant anymore, I mean I have no signs of it (no first trimester signs, and no movements to reassure me). I always get paranoid before a hospital trip, isn't that illogical. I feel like they are going to tell me that I'm being silly and it's all just too much cake. When did you first feel the baby move? I have an upset stomach at the moment, and I'm full of wind, so it's hard to tell.
I scared myself to death yesterday with a wee the colour of ruby red roses. Automatically assumed I was dying. Then remembered I had two meals of beetroot in the last 10 hours. Doh!
Oh LM your beetroot story made me laugh, I do stuff like that all the time!!
Felt the Chicklet move at 17w exactly! Was lying very still at acupuncture and felt like my tummy was getting ready to rumble and felt a few twinges then realised it was the baby. Such a great feeling, I was so excited and that was the end of relaxation time!
And don't worry, I was the same as you at about the same time. I even went to my OB's clinic so the midwife could listen for the heart beat. Terribly reassuing, as you said, before the baby starts moving and if you're feeling well it's hard to know there is anything in there. If you have someone like that you could arrange a pop in visit to check up on your little one then I would definitely recommend it!!! I'm sure they thought I was an over anxious mother to be ( and let's face it, I am!) but they've seen it all before so they didn't mind at all and then I could relax.
Hope you all have a lovely day off. Think mine will be pretty quiet as DH is still not well, there goes our BBQ with friends plans...!
I'm giggling away, I've just done something completely mental. As you know, Mum's coming to visit me for a month after the birth. And I decided that it's a shame she's never been to Sydney (seems a shame not to see it) and she's a big opera fan. So I've booked her a seat at a matinee performance of Marriage of Figaro, and flights there and back in a day. I plan to go too, but not to the opera (I figure other patrons will protest at a month old screaming through it!!!) and I'll sit by the harbour with Baby G. The baby will need to do long haul flights soon enough, and a trip to Sydney from Melbourne can be our first (no luggage) test. It might be a complete and utter disaster, but might as well have disasters whilst Mum is about to help me! She'll have a fit, she hates surprises, and can't get her head round how easy it is to fly in Australia, she thinks it's always like that monstrousity (sp?) Heathrow where you need three hours to check in for an internal flight.
..... but finally my giraffe seems to be creeping out tenatively from underneath that damn tree!
