Meredith, I am so very sorry for the loss of your baby. I am praying that this little one snuggles in nice and tight and keeps fighting.

Are you in regular contact with Dr S? He might have some more ideas?? I don't know, but I hope someone comes up with something to help. Sometimes just doing something different gives you a bit of hope to get through the next day.

Stay strong, we're all here for you praying

Oh girls, thankyou sooo soooo much for all the wonderful support. Something has helped because.....
OMG< OMG This rollercoaster just continues to throw me for a six!!
Had another scan today as reccomended on Mon to assess the viability of remaining twin.
He/she is not only doing fine but somehow still has a little brother/sister doing fine also!!
Both babies are measuring exact to dates today with HR 136 and 140ish so as they should be
I am still in shock and amazement. My best case scenario was to have just the one still looking within some realm of normal but I just broke down with the news. Had another sonographer who has done many of my scans and she was truly wonderful.
Just astounds me how different things can look from one scan to the next. The only current explanation was that my uterus was having major contraction 2 days ago compressing everything and making hard to find other twin or measure "good" one properly.
Area of blood has almost resolved also so just praying with all my might it decides to stop at least for a bit. I am under no illusion that I might still bleed more but hopefully it won't be so horrendously heavy.
Thankyou again so much for the support. I am still going to need to lean on you all for a while yet. My heart cannot take to much more of this stress and I am only just over 7 weeks in!

Deb - I really value and appreciate your suggestions. I to had wondered re an increase in pred dose - will ask my FS on Friday or maybe i should email Dr S? Not having any side effects with it right now so wouldnt bother me to go up. Am also seeing chinese aupuncturist/herbalist. Have used the herbs heaps in the past but she hasn't wanted to mix them with all the IVF meds and other drugs I am on atm.

Meredith - I had a feeling about this! I really did but I didn't want to suggest something that may have sounded insensitive. It's not unusual when there is a lot of bleeding not to get a good view. If you could see me now jumping up and down on the spot here!!!!

I am elated for you! I am so happy.

Please contact DR S. Maybe a little bit more prednisone - you can slowly reduce after 16ish weeks but maybe a bit more may help. Or maybe it will just be fine without.

Either way we have 2! 2 little hearts beating inside you.

Meredith, I have tears of joy reading this thread this time! I know there's still a long way to go, but those two little babies look to be fighters - just like their mother! Amazing news beyond anyone's wildest dreams there.

I'll second the suggestion to email Dr S. Don't wait until Friday, email Dr S tonight and you'll likely have an answer some time tomorrow. The answer may be to do nothing, but at least you'll know sooner rather than later. He's usually absolutely fantastic about email back very quickly.

    My prayers are continuing...
