More time tonight to go through everyone, I hope...
JwithJ: Congrats with the great scan..
milly5: still getting alittle sick at night not every night but still not completely gone, so I'm with ya girl!! Also on the pants subject, ALL of my shorts do not fit there's at least a 10cm gap now :-( definate bump I'm only 16weeks, god help me in a few weeks time :-(
eliselouise85: would have preferred 30mins, but they've class us High Risk, so we saw a few specialists and also the Doc, not just the MW... lots of info to take in, quite overwhelming really.. Good luck with your scan, I hope ours will behaviour so we can tell the sex!!
dory: 3hrs killed us, with all the info they were giving us and all these q's we weren't prepared for, just exhausting, I was in bed and asleep by 7.30pm my DF said... Vommies are slowly going, but still get the odd one at night...
Hope I didn't miss any one, sorry if I did....
Another Docs appt next thursday hopefully it wont be as long. Enjoy your weekends ladies..
Elise - I am thinking of you and hope that your silence is because you are busy and not because you have received difficult news. Big hugs......
Milly - good to hear some relief from the vommies. I LOVE the fact you are getting so big so soon. Me too, compared with before....
HPL - good to hear some relief for you too. At least you should have slept well after your long appointment. Good luck for Thurs.
Audax - how you doing?
Mo4 - are you in here? I can't remember. ( Dory moment) Anyway, I read about your dream in the other thread and I wanted to say thankyou for sharing it. I might even start to call little chicken, Little Cod, just to honour and remember your dream. I am not so much into dream interpretation or giving them meaning, but sometimes in my life I have had dreams that have had real significance for me. Strangely your dream fell into that category. The other dream I had recently of significance is not long after Sophie died, and I was really struggling with grief, I dreamt that I was nursing her and breastfeeding her. It was the most amazing and vivid dream and when I woke up from it I had such a sense of peace. After that my struggles with grieving seemed to pass and I could grieve, but in a more peaceful way. Hard to explain.
I am too lazy to go back and check the other pages to give persies for those I have missed. Sorry. Laney ( are you in here?).
AFM - well excitement plus - I had my flu shot for the year this morning, after getting the all clear of course from my Ob to proceed, and also about an hour ago my first nosebleed that wasn't from a physical trauma. I was talking to my mum on the phone and thought my nose was runny. Of course, no tissues to hand so I used the back of my hand ( I know, so so so gross) and was surprised to see blood. It was only a light bleed but the nostril that bled now feels really weird and fragile an snuffly. I am not surprised as this morning when I blew my nose there was a little blood in the tissue from the same nostril. It is a first for me though. I am not worried as it was light, stopped quickly and is common ( or so I have read). A bit of excitement for my day....
Had an appointment with my ob on Friday and got some good news. LC's heartbeat 140 and cervix long and closed and my blood pressure is pretty good 120/60 ( given I am basically a sloth now I am very happy with my BP)
We had family stay with us late last week. It was good to see them, and it really broke up the monotony of being at home by myself. The other good news was that the cats, instead of hiding under the bed, were in fact "pat tarts". They were snuggling up to our visitors for pats and one cat even slept on my nephews legs all night. He loves cats but is quite allergic. Thank god for zyrtec! But that is what kept me away since Thursday.
And I am still eating chocolate. I don't think it will ever end.... but loving it ( maybe thats why I can't fit into my clothes..... nah I couldn't fit into them from very early on....I am telling ya. it's lazy bump going on over here.
Take care.

Hello lovely ladies, sorry to keep you waiting with the news (dory hehe)
Had our scan on friday and found out we are expecting a little boy It was just the best feeling seeing that everything was fine and it has just made it feel so much more real knowing the sex.
Sorry i dont have time for persies tonight but i thought id better keep you all updated.
Take care, talk soon xxx
Elise - AWESOME!! Welcome little boy blue! So glad you feel much more content. Same for me, no time for more persies now - off to do so washing folding.... hold me back.
Alice - I wanted to say, I am so sorry you are doing it tough now. I believe in you and I know you will make it through. Can't underestimate just how touch it is for you though. Big hugs.
Made it to the scan, after thinking I would vomit with nerves and/or m/s! Forgot all about it though when we saw that little heartbeat! I had a little cry and it is still sinking in. Measuring 2 days behind what I thought, 4 days behind clinical dates, so not entirely relaxed yet, but doing well!
How awesome that you're having a blue one, Elise! That's great.
just popping my head in here! i am 7 weeks pregnant after loosing my little girl at 18 weeks
I am freaking out so much.. i am trying so hard to relax but i just cant.
How do you do it? how do you keep calm for the sake of your bubba?
also TMI here lol i cant do the deed.... i am to scared... my DH thinks i am being stupid, but is that normal too? i am too scared it will hurt bub ( i know that it wont deep down, this is my 5th pregnancy lol) but i just cant do it..
Mo4 - good to see you here! OMG - 7 weeks already, so far already and I know so far to go. For me, I think I stay calmer because that is just me naturally. But at the same time I work really hard at trying to be thankful for what I have right now, which is an awesome DH, 3 lovely furbabies, a supportive family and of course a miracle growing inside. Maybe its also practise? When I was first pregnany with Amelia, from 3 weeks to at least 8 weeks, I went to get my HCG tested every week if not twice a week. For me, it was awful. Instead of just learning to sit with my anxiety and learning to love Amelia, all I thought about was losing her and those damn HCG levels. For me it was no way to live, I was very unhappy in that month or so. I then realised that I had the choice. I could go on like I was and just not enjoy what I had or I could try and be thankful for what I had. Then my brother was in a near fatal accident and was in ICU for 60 days and I saw my mother be with my brother every day for 8 hours a day, worried she would lose him. I realised that being a mother means that you worry from before conception to way beyond them being adults. My brother was 48 then. I thought, can I live my life with this level of worry for the next 50 years or more? I then though if I did, what a unhappy way to live.
So Mo4 - for me I beleive I have the choice to believe in this pregnancy and to love this baby and to try to enjoy the journey. Of course, it's hard. I am not always succesful, I still have bad days. But you know, by feeling like I have the choice, I feel empowered and also feel that as a result I get less totally crazy days. I still get crazy days, where I am beside myself with fear, and some days I am paralysed by fear. But some days, some days I am not, and its those days I work todays and savour.
Oh and I can't do the deed either... my DH totally understands, thankgod. I keep telling him the drought might break in November! I felt a bit racy the other night and half suggested i to DH, and he said to me, " No, I know that you are scared of what might happen, and I don't want you to regret it, so I am going to givve you a hug instead". I was surprised by his answer. It wasn't an intentional test, but he passed with flying colours none the less. Someone here once called it the "scrabble club" as there is no doing the deed going on you have to find something else to do together.
Eliselouise - Huge congratulations on having a little BOY! We are having a boy too and i remember getting in the car after the scan crying cos it really made it so real. And so much easier to buy clothes and other stuff when you know.
Audax - Congrats on the great scan results. Its very hard to take your eyes off that little heartbeat isnt it. Its so amazing!
Mummyof4 - So good to see you in here! Congratulations on the BFP. I can understand how you are feeling about 'doing the deed'. Me and dh didint until about 14 weeks and i was still really nervous. I think its very normal when you have been through so much to be extra careful.
JwithJ - Excellent news about your scan. The 12 week one is scary but isnt it amazing how much you can see.
Dory - Im so glad someone else is getting into the chocolate. I have been a serious chocoholic this whole pregnancy. MMM i could eat some kitkat right now!!
Sorry i know i have missed a few people so to everyone else
AFM - I have my regular check up tomorrow. 35 weeks have gone so fast. Then a scan next week to check size and position. I also have a one day antenatal class on Sunday.
Maddison - wow - 35 weeks. Hope you regular appointment goes well tomorrow and of course your scan. OMG a whole day antenatal class - no way I would have enough energy for that. I'll be thinking of you. Take something to eat, just in case. Hmm Kit Kat sounds nice...
Audax - a couple of days behind is OK, so my Ob told me (I have been consistently 2 days behind what I thought it should be), so try not to worry. yay heartbeat!!
mummyof4 - welcome!!!! oh and the DTD - we didn't for AGES I think I was 12 weeks, but I also used the nausea excuse to cover up for my fear if DH thought I was being too paranoid! Oh and I think we've done it twice since the BFP. I told DH that he should be enjoying the break, because we both got to hate sex by the calendar when TTC. I guess we make up for it with a bit more intimacy in other ways, like just having more cuddles and kisses, which is nice.
Hi also to HPL, dory, maddison, and anyone else I missed!
question ladies, especially to those who this is their "first". People ask me "is this your first?" and I just always automatically say something like "I hope so" or, "the first this far". I just can't seem to spit out a straight "yes", the other is out before I know it, but then I think, well why should I just say yes, I mean I have been pregnant twice before, but yes, this will be my first baby, but then nothing really is definate, is it? I mean, i don't mean that I'm feeling particularly depressed or morbid, but things can and do (and have) gone wrong before, so it is just a fact that I am aware of. Does that make sense or do I sound - well morbid? Should I just smile sweetly and train myself to say "yes"?
Milly you beautiful girl, congrats on being 19 weeks. I dont think you should train yourself to say anything. What you say is perfect. The world needs to be educated on the truth behind miscarriage, so many believe that it shouldnt be that sad, or you didnt even know your angels so just have another one. I think the authenticity of your response is beautiful and is not morbd, its just real.
Love to you darlin girl, hope I can really join this thread soon .... iykwim ...
xxxxxx
Milly, my love, other milly is right. Don't train yourself to say anything. Everything you feel, say and do is OK
Last night we told the ILs over the phone, and they were talking about how amazing and beautiful the news was. And yeah, it is. But I sat there feeling really empty while they gushed. I don't know what it is - if it's fear, or dormant grief, or just massive apprehension.
The other thing that gets me is that they thought we wouldn't tell them until 12 weeks. This p!sses me off royally - last time we told them at 6 wks - why would we tell them then if we didn't feel like we'd get their support? Why should our history change anything?
So, yeah, milly, I am all about being completely honest in everything you say.
Says the girl who has no plans to tell her father of this pregnancy. But that's a whole other story.
