T-Hopes- When i was in hospital at 37 weeks there was a 47 year old lady 34 weeks pregnant (or was she 48) anyway she was pushing 50 she had the exact same thing you are having a stent in her kidney and was to have it removed after bub was born.
Now i dont want to scare you just want you to ask your doc everything possible so you are well and truely informed but this lady had to stay in hospital on morphine because of the pain she was having after the surgery the nurses were coming in regularly to give her endone (pain relief) she told me she had been in hospital a month already and tried going home but the pain was unmanagable at home so they made her stay in hospital anyway when the specialist came to see her she asked why she was in so much pain and he said this operation only works for 50-60% of patients having this procedure and she was like why the hell didnt you tell me and he just said we dont know until we try it if it is going to work or not.
So ask your doctor about how you will be after wards i know risking losing a kidney is not an option but this poor lady had a real rough time.
I hope you dont mind me telling you i felt this doctor didnt give this poor women all the facts before she had the procedure.
Maybe having bub at 37 weeks would be an option i had my 3rd son at 37 weeks no prob's that way bub is classed as full term and your kidneys get a rest and you avoid surgery.
I hope you are one of the ones the procedure goe's smoothly for and works.
Hi everyone still lingering around Ella is doing FAB.
