Im no expert, but it sounds like it could just be a bit of your mucus plug that has come away, im sure its nothing to worry about, but just let you midwife know.
Hope this helps

Hi! When we are pg we get all sorts or weird and wonderful things happening and this is just one of them. I don't think it is your mucous plus as it is far earlier than normal for it to come away, but some women do get a huge increase in the amount of mucous we produce when we are pg. So long as it wasn't blood tinged or smelt offensive, then you should be pretty right. I always found wearing panty liners helped a lot, as did wearing 100% cotton knickers.
Thanks everyone! I just called the midwife to check as it was a huge shock when it happened. I just have been under a lot of stress and I am in the middle of moving house atm. The midwife said it nothing to worry about but just to keep an eye on it if it happens again! Thanks again!
