Cervix - ouchies!
I'm 34.5 weeks with my first bub, and I've been sitting up watching tv since 6am, its now 751am and my bub has NOT STOPPED MOVING! Almost constant poking/scraping on my cervix (and legs kicking and moving up higher). is that normal? I'm used to the odd jabbing sensation there, but this is unreal, might have me a break dancer in the makings!
I'm sitting here paranoid my waters are gonna break!

will give it a go Prama! I've given up on being graceful or dignified now so if OH sees me at least he is prepared for how ridiculous I will look in labour :-)

Hi Roquen.......... I used to get the same thing. I was sure Daniel was clawing his way out.
Then I scrubbed the tiles in the kitchen - on all fours - that helped a bit.

Oh my goodness - isn't it the weirdest sensation?!! I'm only 30 weeks and sometimes it feels as if bubby is trying to come out, in fact the movement is that strong down low that it feels as if a hand or foot might appear!! I have had lots of scraping on my cervix too and today in the supermarket I had to kinda cross my legs to see if baby could move as it felt quite painful even. I hope this is normal. I remember a similar feeling with my first child but not quite this strong, this bubby is a real mover and groover too - on the go quite often!!.

Danni, it's normal.
Daniel was positively violent, but he went to 40 + 2. He was just itching to get out when he hit 30 weeks. It was weird when he was born, I missed it..................... what an odd person!!

Yeah. I was sure he had a scewer in there or something and was trying to pop the bag.
Funny thing was that when I hit 39+2 weeks he stopped moving for the whole day. I freaked. I thought there was something wrong. My DH took me to the hospital and did an ECG - he had fallen asleep. The mw kept getting me to roll this way and that to wake him up, but he wouldn't. She commented what a lazy little baby he was - yeah, right..... if only you knew. His movements really slowed down that whole week and then he was born at exactly 40+2, happy and squirmy.
So, watch out when he/she stops moving......... you could be in for a massive life changing event!!

Yep, I reckon he was conserving energy.
Just you girls watch out when your babies suddenly fall asleep and it's getting REAL close to the due date. Things will start to get exciting then, I reckon.
