Lol yeah - i called mine elephant feet - and don't worry they get worse once you give birth! :P
Like Aricyn's Mum said - if it corresponds with High BP or protein in your urine it can indicate signs of pre-eclampsia (sometimes referred to as toxemia) which can bring on early labour and is not healthy for you or baby. Best sign to watch out for increase in BP is increased irritability - although i don't know where my doctor got off telling that, hello im pregnant my hormones are naturally all over the place!![]()
Yep so normal. Mine went back to normal after I gave birth but they were exactly like playdoh, press them and they would dent!!
Hey jessey,
I noticed our bubs could be born on the same day.yay! My EDD 30/04/08, anyway, I too get the swollen feet and legs and knees the whole thing. Sometimes they are so swollen that my knees hurt because the skin finds it hard to stretch over my knee cap. Ive had many checks and my bp and urine were all good, So it looks like its just pregnancy for me. do get yours checked out anyway, but hang in there darl.:hugs:
My Dp does this great thing for me when my feet swell he gets a cold wet rag and washes them down gently cos my feet are so swollen that they burn at night. ARGH! sometimes we laugh at the sight of my feet, like i said its normal.
Good Luck
Aw, you poor thing!
Keeping them elevated will help reduce the swelling.
You poor thing, it's horrible isn't it!!
I agree with everything the girls have said, make sure you get your urine and BP checked. However, if it is Pre-Eclampsia your hands and legs are usually swollen too.
Try putting some cold face washers on your feet while they are elevated to reduce the swelling. The worst thing is though that once you stand up the fluid usually rushes back to your feetJust try and take it easy and rest as much as you can
