Thanks everyone for your thoughts. Strong protein in my urine today has changed the game. Labetalol brought my BP down enough that I didn't have to go straight to hospital.

An internal revealed I'm 2 cm dilated which means induction will likely go off without a hitch. I had a good induction experience last time so I'm not worried.

Blood test results come back tomorrow so assuming they are all ok then I'll be induced on Monday.

Thanks all for your thoughts. Impatient Birdie clearly is very sneaky.

Good luck. I understand those birds on the shoulder. I had PE with my first child, beat a medical induction by going into labour naturally but ended up with an epidural and augmentation anyway. So much for that.

This time I was desperately hoping things would go nice and peacefully, but instead of PE I have something equally as terrible called Obstetric Cholestasis that has a 15% increased chance of stillbirth after week 37 so I am desperate to meet my baby, but the doc said we'll induce at 38 weeks and I, the woman who wanted a water birth and no interference at all, am so scared that I'm tempted to ask for an earlier induction.

Hope it all goes well, I'd be interested to know how the induction goes because I'm freaked out by the concept and have heard so many horror stories, but knowing my baby's life is in danger is a lot worse for me and makes it all a little easier to process.
