Stretch & Sweep & lost plug (TMI WARNING)

on tuesday i had a stretch and sweep done (from 2 - 3cm), tuesday night i was feeling a little crampy. then wednesday morning i lost my mucos plug (is brown a normal colour?).
then wednesday night had a few niggles. nothing all day yesterday, but have had a few more niggles here and there today.

anyway, my q is IF this was supposed to work, shouldnt i be in labour already?

    Hi Michelle
It sounds like it might have worked. If you are having niggles then something is happening. It sounds like you will be in labour quite soon.

things this morning are ok. had a few niggles lsat night and this morning. but so far nothing.

i've been drinking nothing but RLT, doing housework and i've only just sat down and now i feel hot and annoyed (not at anyone in particular but just in general).

today is her last chance to be on time. tomorrow she'll be late just like her big sisters! Tia was 41+3 and Alisha was 40+4.

    so hurry up baby!

Oh I thought they are terrible. I guess its going to be different for everyone & the experience of the person doing it but IMO it hurts.

What they do is actually put a finger into your cervix & stretch it & sweep their finger around.

Just uncomfortable - not really painful. I had one done yesterday at hospital (5 days over). Just feels like firm pressure on cervix (midwife described it as being like massaging your cervix - she did this during internal exam).
