Blood Pressure

I seem to have developed sky high blood pressure. My Ob says there are no other problems, no protien in my pee, I have swelling, but not enough to cause problems. She is putting me on medication and says that it will make both me and the baby sleepy. i have already cut my work right back to bare minimum and spend all my spare time with my feet up.
Does anyone else have this problem, and is there anything else I can do?

Bub is happy and healthy by the way. No probs there.
Very tired of swollen aching feet and legs too. Think I'm getting vericose veins, geez they hurt.

I too had high BP sounds like you are doing all you can do...

Just let the OB know if you start getting head achs there is so much more I could tell you but if your OB said there is no protine then you are so far so good, so sit on your butt and do nothing...

But be worned when you have to have bed rest as I did the swelling goes from your feet to your butt lol as that is where you start to retain your water!!!!

Some blood pressure medication can make some people feel a little sleepy but it does not do this to everyone. Cut down on your salt intake and drink at least 2 litres of water a day. As Tali said you should tell your OB if you get headaches, but you should also watch for blurred vision, spots, zig zags in front of your eyes that last for more than 1 minute and pain under your ribs.
