Just finished Expecting Adam by Marth Beck.

It's a true story written by a mother who found out she was expecting a Downs Syndrome baby in the late 80s.

I enjoyed it mostly but I do find it hard to read books that go back and forth through time The reactions she experienced from people were sad but all in all it was a very touching read.
I love Martha Beck, I've read the book about her growing up as the daughter of a high ranking Mormon official in Utah, and then going her seperate way. So interesting. I've never been able to get my hands on a copy of Expecting Adam, but have wanted to read it for ages.

ETA - Sarah, don't be afraid to stroll up to the information desk at the library and ask them to give you some reading recommendations. They will be able to point out the the true story area (often they keep them all together in one area).
