Oh I am drooling all over the place. I can't remember the last time I had a drink - actually I can remember exactly when I last had a drink and it was a frighteningly long time ago.

I have a bottle of 42 below manuka honey vodka sitting in my freezer waiting for me to have that first drink once I stop breastfeeding (or at least when he goes long enough between feeds for me not to get him pi**ed) - this is the ****tail recipe I'm planning to use...

    Element:

45 mls (1 1/2 oz) 42 Below Manuka Honey vodka
15 mls (1/2 oz) liquid honey
    1 tsp palm sugar
    4 wedges of lime
    2 lemongrass stalks
    2 slices of ginger

    Method:
In a shaker or mixing glass, muddle lemongrass, ginger and limes with palm sugar until juicy and well mixed. Fill the shaker with ice, add Manuka Honey vodka and liquid honey and shake vigorously. Pour the mixture into a tall glass, and serve.

This is one that DH and his mates invented:

    Hard Mambooka
2 shots of Cointreau + 2 shots of Malibu over crushed ice.

Very, very yummy, and VERY potent. Can be quite drunk after one - we went to a wedding where a guy had 5 in quick succession, while sitting. When he stood up to go and dance, he fell flat on his face! It was quite funny!

Anyway, there is no other place where we have found this combination, and it is goooooooooooood!! Mmm....orange and coconut.....

Another one which I really loved was in Vanuatu, which was called Numbawan there.

It had baileys, kahlua, frangelico, white creme de cacoa, honey and cream. Some places poured it over ice, others had crushed ice in it, but I remember it being best without ice at all!

Only bummer is that while I remembered to write the ingredients down, I forgot to write how much of each one! So we haven't managed to make one yet, and I keep asking DH to just ring them and ask, but he hasn't done it yet....If anyone goes to Vanuatu, the best place for a Numbawan is the Italian restaurant the "Seaview" - apparently the best Italian restaurant in Vanuatu (we suspected it was the only Italian restaurant in Vanuatu)in Port Vila. Anyway, if anyone goes PLEASE get me the recipe!!!!!

    I love Tequila Sunrises.

    30ml Tequila
    10ml Grenadine
    Orange Juice
    Orange Slice for garnish

Place 3 - 4 ice cubes in a Highball glass. Pour in Tequila, then orange juice. Pour grenadine down the side of glass. Do not stir, let the grenadine settle to the bottom of the glass. This will create the "sunrise" effect. Garnish with an orange slice.

Ren, do the Toblerones taste like a real Toblerone? I've always wanted to try this ****tail but i dont really like the taste of Baileys..

    Hi Kelebek.
A muddle is like a wooden ****tail tool like a pestle that is used to press the ingredients together or "smash" them up. I guess like using a mortar and pestle.

What kind of ****tail recipes are you after? Creamy ones etc??

I will be back later with my favourites!

I really, really want one of Rouge's Polly Bar Mistress drinks right about now.

Here's mine that I stole from the end of Season 3 of Sex and the City. It's a tricked-up, and more potent, version of a Bellini:

    Flirtini

    1 shot of vodka
    2 shots of Champagne/Sparkling
    2 shots of Pineapple Juice

Combine ingredients and either serve over ice in a highball glass, or serve in a Martini glass or Champagne flute.

Be careful with this one though - it's knocked me off of my feet many times even when I've tried to behave.
