Oh YUM Alan. Want some of that now!!!![]()
I made this yesterday. It was quite yummy considering how simple it is.
1 sheet puff pastry
3 apples
2 tblsp sugar (about)
Handful sultanas
Peel core and slice apples. (about 1cm thick)
Lay slices apples on the puff pastry, overlapping the apples a little. Leave a 2cm – 4cm gap around the edge of the sheet of pastry to allow it to rise. Sprinkle the sultanas on top of the apples. Sprinkle sugar on top. Put in oven at 200 for about 30 – 40 mins. Serve hot with custard.
Oh YUM Alan. Want some of that now!!!![]()

We make those too! We also do another one that we dot with sour cream mixed with a few tablespoons of cream cheese and some sugar... YUMMMMMM!
How about a tiny sprinkle of cinammon and/or spice?! *drool*

Yep yep!!! Noms!
I was out of cinammon and I only post recipes that I have tried. But cinammon would have been nice
Wemake them too, they're delish!! Particularly with some vanilla ice cream! You can replace the apples with pears too, yum!
mmm yum yum might make that for dessert tonight. Thanks Alan!!![]()
yummm!
There is a similar also good recipe in the Feeding the Bump book with plums soaked in a little orange juice and cinnamon.
Made this tonight, but made my own sweetshortcrust pastry instead. Mmmm, so much for losing weight![]()

Yum! I remember making those as a child with my mum but we rolled them to make a pinwheel then put in the oven. SOOOOO YUMMMY!
Hehe I went out and bought puff pastry after reading this thread - thanks Alan!!
In the past I've done a variation by cutting the sheet of pastry into squares, putting the apple/fruit in the middle and folding into triangles, kinda like an apple turnover (without the cream). Can't resist adding cloves, cinnamon, mixedspice, allspice - whatever I fancy. YUM!
its in the oven! and smelling devineee!
