Do you want potato or sweet potato mash?? A few options for you to ponder
Plain mash: Drain well and place back on heat to dry potatoes slightly (don't burn them though!!) Add butter and cream and bring to the boil. Mash well.
Pesto mash: Same as above but add some pesto to taste. Yum!!
Cheesy mash: Same as plain but add cheese of choice. I like strong tasty or mature cheese stirred through.
Sweet potato: Cook until soft. Mash well and add some butter for a smoother consistency.
Drain potatos, add milk, butter and garlic salt.. mash and mix.. mmmmmmmmm!
There are a few faves:
Mash with roast garlic (squeezed out) with cream.
Mash with a sprinkle of stock powder and some cream and whipped using the hand beaters (don't need masher then).
Mash with Parmesan and torn basil leaves.
Colcannon with cabbage, onion and bacon.
Champ which is with warm milk chives.
i ended up draining potatos, heating to dry then mashing with butter off heat, them beating in some cream with wooden spoon, then added some parm!! yummo!!
It's good with sour cream instead of milk and chives too.
love adding coriander..
