Dinner is as yet undecided, but lunch is spaghetti bolognese.

Im nearly out of bread so suggestions for a light dinner on the day before grocery day would be helpful.

in the fridge freezer are some mixed veggies and ice packs. the deep freezer has bolognese sauce and some mince (not much) in the fridge is not much. mainly milk and sauces. there are eggs and butter in there too. I dont have a lot today, I try to keep my shopping as cheap as possible so on the last day I am scratching around for ages to find food.

I also have mince defrosted, but Im thinking Spag Bol, the kids love it and I hide veges, olives and mushrooms in it by pureeing them, well I chop the mushrooms and olives really fine, but I puree the veg. Yummy and full of goodness.

I'm thinking a light dinner: home-made pizzas using whole-meal pita bread (that we always have stored in the freezer)... toppings of fresh capsicum, spanish onion, olives, smoked mussles, pesto and light on the cheese. If we are still hungry we can have mueslie with Gippsland yogurt and banana slices which has become a bit of a hit with the kids as a healthy desert option.
