How freaking great homemade bread is!!!!!?????????

So I'm taking steps to downsize and reduce our loading on our wallets, and one of the things that hadn't made it to our list until this year was to make our own bread. I have a bread machine, gained from putting a call out on FB to anyone who had one sitting in the back of their cupboard and last week took the plunge and made my first ever loaf of bread!

It's SSSSOOOOOOO easy!!! Especially with the breadmaker!

Today I took a jump and decided to try bread rolls....the jump is letting the machine make the dough and me learning the basics of rising and baking.

They worked!!! Okay, so my oven is not the best and they're a little dark on the bottom, but would you believe that with an ordinary white bread recipe they taste so sweet and lovely that I would give up scones for the rest of my life just to eat these rolls!!!! Butter and Vegemite and I am restraining myself from eating any more!!!

The best thing is, I have made 15 bread rolls for about $2.

In the maker now is my attempt at making cinnamon and sultana bread. Can't wait to taste the results!!!

And next..... will I be growing sourdough???
