Entreat, I can imagine that would have been the softest loaf! Yes, I just use plain nasty old wheat flour. Generally the cheapest no-name brand too! I keep meaning to try wholemeal flour, or even just add a little bit of wheat bran(wheat germ? ), but haven't done so yet.

I think I'm going to get the jar out tonight and bring back my George. That's what I called my sourdough starter. Not sure why, it just sort of happened.
