We have always done the traditional roast pork, turkey, chicken with all the trimmings but do have prawn ****tails for entree and usually a bit of seafood brought out for dinner!

    Great idea for a thread!

My family has always done a cold Christmas lunch i.e. seafood, cold cuts, salads and fruit. DH's family have always done the traditional hot roast.

Last year we celebrated Christmas at our house so I decided to do a cold lunch, as this was my family tradition and I was the one doing all the cooking. Should have seen the look on MIL's face when I told her there was no turkey....

Oh I forgot to add.. Mum and I ALWAYS cook a ham on Christmas Eve which we eat cold over the Xmas/New Year week. We've done it every year since I can remember!
