Christmas feast - Traditional roast or Aussie seafood?

I love the idea of a seafood christmas lunch in the our hot summer. But my DH doesn't like seafood and my PIL love the traditional turkey and pork. So it will be a hot lunch for us again.

    What do you do?

I'm a sucker for traditional Manta, but that's cos my aunty does a GREAT one.

If I was the one putting it on, it'd be seafood, or a something less traditional I suspect.

We definately do a lot of cold seafood, salad, meats etc, but also throw a few kiddy faves in there too (spring rolls, sausage rolls, fries etc).

Up here it's often in the high 30s on Christmas Day, and no-one really feels like hot food at lunch time LOL

We have the seafood feast. mmmmmmm can't wait! We have roasts with all the trimmings often throughout the year, so i really look forward to the seafood. We get Crayfish from King Island and order lots of other seafood from local fish monger.

We do always have a ham though! Poached eggs, mustard and ham for breaky, that's our family tradition.

We have both! Freshly cooked marron and prawns, along with roast lamb and pork and all the trimmings, that way everyone can eat what they like!

We usually do cold seafood but this year I really want to do a roast so we have decided to do that and have prawns too.

We do the big roast turkey (on the weber) and all the trimmings. Usually have a prawn and smoked salmon starter too.
