i have been told NOT to call or talk to his mum or our friends! just to leave them alone!
Are you normally close to his Mum? If so, I think you should still call her. She would want to know what kind of a tool he is being, and she will more than likely help you, after all you are the mother of her grandchildren.

Maybe your friends can't understand the children side of things, but I am sure his mum will.

But in the meantime, I can offer more hugs..

me and his mother have recently become extremly close she rings me more than him!
she is aware of what a tool he is being i talked to her last night when he walked out. he is avoiding her calls also. i will call her in the morning and maybe go have a coffee with her! im just afraid i guess because at the end of the day thats "her" son iykwim?
then i think she would be highly dissapointed in his actions as she knows about his partying ways and has on several occasions tried to talk with him, he changes for a couple of days then the weekend comes the mates call and well i have old sam back!
its really like speaking to a brick wall!

It must be hard, but it sounds like his Mum will look out for you! His mum knows his faults, and will always be his Mum, but she can still have time for you.

I have 3 brothers, and when one of them was a real idiot and nearly lost his wife, Mum told him to not bother coming to her till he admitted what he had done was stupid, selfish, dangerous etc, and Mum housed my SIL and children, while brother had to find alternate resources.

Also, nothing really excuses the way he is acting, but maybe if he listens to his Mum for a few days, there may be an underlying issue. It wouldn't hurt to ask her now it has come to this.

I really am sorry that you are going through this especially at a time when you should be so happy.

Darl, promise me that if he comes back with his tail between his legs that you will stick to your guns and tell him that him going out partying every weekend isn't on.

Because, it really, really isn't and that's not what a father does.

Sounds like the loser has done you a favour. From your posts, you were a single mum before now, only with the stress of a loser man upsetting you. He was drinking all YOUR money: now you can control your own finances and he will HAVE to pay some of his wages to you for maintainance.

Talk to your friends, talk to his mum. If this were DS, he'd be out on his ear and I'd be looking after DiL over him. His mates are so great? See if they want him around 24/7. Because I wouldn't. DH's mate left his fiancee and mother of his children and wanted to bunk at our house, I'd say no way. Let people know what's going on. And change those locks, then have a long shower and wash that man right outta your hair.

You deserve better and you are going to get it.

So sorry your are going through this at the moment.
BB is a wonderful site and helps people in many ways to talk things through without being judged.
If he wants to come back lay down some rules. You are now a family so he will have to live as a family not as a single guy.
As for his family, especially his Mum, keep seeing her. She will be upset about what is happening. Your son needs to see his grandparents. Also don't let him dictate to you who you can or cannot see.
This will be a time when you will learn who your true friends are.

I am so sorry you are going through this Brooke. If I could come and take away your pain I would in a second. You are strong and you don't need his crap in your life.

I have fought the friends, beer, filthy skank and drug battle for many years and quite honestly it's not one I would fight again. You and your kids are better off without it in your life.

As others have said, he has done you a favour. You can now start living YOUR life instead of waiting for him to finish living his.

It won't be easy at first but YOU CAN DO IT!
