But I promise I'm going to get clean starting today.
Or possibly next week, depending how today goes.
    Thank you.

    I'm Tinks.

It's been 1 week since I cleaned my house. The goggles from the 'what's on your loungeroom floor?' thread are still there

I will make my house look like a display home this weekend! I promise

    Oooh me me me!

Despite my 'best' intentions the house usually goes 2-3 weeks without being cleaned! (bathroom/toilet cleaned, vaccuming and mopping). And dont start on the dusting..urm maybe 4 times a year if it's lucky?

I have an excuse not to mop now though, stupid dog was bouncing around outside and knocked it over so the plastic bit where the sponge goes broke and now the sponge won't stay on. DF did say he was going to buy me a steam mop for mother's day...I'm still waiting and so are my floors

Hi all, my name is Glamourcide and my house is far from glamorous!
It's been nearly a week since I mopped my floors... I haven't vacuumed the bedrooms in God-knows how long... :/ My bathroom floor is constantly damp and there's toothpaste on the mirror!
My excuse is always that the baby decides to wake up every time I get stuck into cleaning, and I feel like a horrible mama if I stick her in her walker while I clean up!!

Hi my name is MuminAlice and it has been 2 weeks since I vacuumed and washed the floors, 3 days since I did the dishes, and 6 weeks since I did the bathroom (eeewwww). My excuse is DD, she just does not like sleeping in the cot during the day and I can't be fagged doing it in the afternoon. But really my reason is I can't be bothered. I really need servants.. I also NEVER dust, it can only get so dusty and then you don't notice it.

    Love it!

Hi my name is Balmaingal and I've been aiming to get around to doing some cleaning since we decided that we could no longer afford our cleaners after their last visit almost 4 weeks ago.

Since then I've mopped the kitchen floor a few times (only happened thanks to the mess DD makes when she eats) and squirted some toilet cleaner down the toilets. I've signed up to fly lady but my sink is still dull and water stained right now!

I'd better get it into shape quick smart as I've got a friend from overseas arriving on Sunday morning!

    Hello my name is Marydean.

My friends all think I clean my house but really I just dust and tell DH to vacuum the open access areas before anyone comes over. If you spray and wipe the kitchen about 3 minutes before your guests arrive the lemony scent subliminally suggests you are a functional housekeeper.

    The rest is a sty.

My excuse is I've been trying hard to get a job so I can pay another person to do it for me.

And here I was thinking I was the only one.........

I too go on benders where i do a massive clean and it looks beautiful...then bang its a tornado again...I blame it on not liking where we live and the demanding kids :P

My new house will be lovely and tidy....not nessecarily clean but it will be tidy

My favourite saying ...A clean house is a sign of a wasted life

Oh hands up here.. I am lazy and I don't care who I admit it to now.. Well ok maybe not lazy but so unmotivated. With 6 people in a 3 bedroom house and very little space it only takes one thing out of place to make the house look like shambles..

I did scrub the outside of my kitchen cupboards today and did the bathroom so it looks as though I worked hard but shhhh don't tell Dh it only took about 30 minutes lol

My name is Kat, and if you want things dusted then turn up on Christmas day and you might.. I said might... be lucky.

I can still see an ant trail on the wall that my computer sits against from 2 maybe 3 summers ago. The wall is so dusty that the ants walking made a clean path. My excuse for not dusting is that I am allergic to furniture polish (true). Doesn't matter that you can dust without chemicals LOL.

If I do have the energy to clean up, I then get the "why do I bother" when the kids come home. I do try to do my dishes every night, but other stuff inc floors ... meh
