I didn't get a chance to finish my last post because Gab was wide awake and now I can't remember what I was going to say!! ](*,) Ah well.
Gabby is having her injections this afternoon. Not really looking forward to that. Here's hoping it doesn't affect her sleep! [-o<
Sarah - are you gonna go and claim your free boost juice today?? Today's names are Sarah and Matthew for a free juice.
Nell - maybe if you take Matty in with his birth certificate, you can get a free juice too. After all, he will get to drink it through your "booby juice" eventually
I am waiting for the day they have Debbie and Dallas
How are you all? I am sorry that I wont be able to do personals as everytime the month changes I cant remember what has been written, but I am sure that I will catch up soon enough.
Deb - I hope that Gabby isnt too bad with her needles. I found these ones not too bad, but they did kick in a couple of days later.
We are doing really well, only 11 more days and we will be packing for our holiday, I cant wait!!!
Hayley has been on solids for a week or so. She just loves it! I must admit that I have been really slack with the homemade baby food, but figure that I will do all of that once we get home from our holiday. At the moment, she has had rice cereal (not rapt), banana custard (yumm) and orchard fruits gel (loves it) She is dropping a bottle now, only 4 bottles a day now, but they are about 250mls, so that isnt too bad.
Well, I am off to target again as they are throwing out a heap of baby stuff for over 50% off, so I thought some more clothes might be an idea.
Hope that everyone else is well and will catch up with you all soon.
LOL at Debbie & Dallas!! I would have gone, but I was at work & got home too late. How did Miss Gab go with her needles? I thought she was going last Friday or was I confusing her with someone else?
How did you go at the sale Dinky? And yay on the solids, sounds like Hayley is enjoying it.
BTW Tanya, you better go check out the Member of the Month thread if you haven't already
Not much going on here, Zander is almost over his cold \/ MG is supposed to be here on Wednesday but I'm worried about Zander have the remains of a cold, as we have a deal that if the bubs (or mums) are sick we aren't to go. Just waiting for the girls to let me know what they think.
I have forgotten too what was said last month, so I'm gunna start fresh from August!
Hope the needles went OK Deb. Here's hoping they are a precursor to a bit of extra sleep for mummy and baby! Ours are on Thursday..... Thankfully Shane is still off work!
Sarah - yay for Zander almost being well. Hope you can still get along to mothers group.
Dinky - sounds like Hayley likes her solids huh?? And that must be great she can drop a bottle a day. Ohhhh I can't wait to wean a couple of feeds a day!! Wont be too long for us all now.
Nell - I agree - they wont have Fiona either. How do you find out what the name is for the day?
Well we had our mothers group around today. OMG!! Babies all voer the place. The cats didn't know what to think. Bec and Eliza are joining our group cause we are all such legends =P~ and it was the funniest thing today when Jenna and Eliza were talking to each other, and Jenna reached out for Eliza's hands. They were happy holding hands for a little while, and then Jenna promptly put Eliza's fingers in her mouth!! We were laughing sooooo hard. The babies are really beginning to get social, which is lovely to see. We all sat around complaining about our MCHN - she is sooooo useless!! Oh well, we are a nice group, so I guess it makes it OK huh??
Hope everyone else is well. I'm just not finding the time lately to get on here as much. I'vee read a couple of books in the last week, and at the moment I'm burning a banana cake. Damn it!!
Hello,
Deb: Hope Gabbys needles went ok and isn't too unsettled
Nell:Hmm no chance on the Rebecca free drink either, Fi they announce it on Sunrise..I think I always go back to bed so even if they did announce my name I'm going to miss it.
Dinky: Hayley sounds like she likes the good stuff, rather than the rice cereal. Hope you did some good shopping.
Sarah:Glad that Zander is saying goodbye to the nasty cold.
We had a great day at Fiona's. Topped off with a lovely suprise when I got home, I forgot that I had a few weeks holidays left at work and when I resigned they paid me out \/ ..Yah. Lets go clothes shopping little girl..lol
Where does the time go?? Once again it feels like forever since I have posted in here. Have managed to pop around the boards a couple time a week but definitely not as much as I used to. Jacob has decided that he quite likes the daylight hours and wants to spend as many of them as possible wide awake! How I miss those frequent naps! On the flipside he is sleeping beautifully all through the night from around 8ish to 6ish so I can't complain. I just got used to having my afternoon nap and needing to stay up a bit later at night for him. We have our 4mth old needles this Thursday - feels like he just had his first lot. Going to have a chat to the MCHC nurse when I see he for his month check up about starting solids. He is starting to get really excited when watching us eat or drink and will drag anything and everything to his mouth for a good ol chomp.
Bec - nice to "meet" you and Eliza and a woo hoo for the extra $$
Fi - Just in case I don't get back in hope your needles go well on Thursday! Must be the day for them. Awww at Jenna and Eliza. It just sounded so cute!!
Sarah - Glad that Zander is nearly over his cold. Hope it all goes away quickly.
Dinky - Good to hear that Hayley is enjoying her solids. Hope you grabbed some good bargains at Target and a woo hoo for your holiday!!
Debbie - Hope Gabby's injections all went smoothly.
Hey strangers. Thought that I'd actually get my butt into gear and post. I have been reading but ususally that's all I end up with time for.
Fi, sounds like Jenna had a great time with the other bubba's, wait til she gets teeth and tried to put another hand in her mouth. Goodluck for her injections on Thursday too.
Deb, I hope that Gabby is feeling good and that her needles didn't upset her (or you) too much. Hmmm Debbie and Dallas hey. How funny would that be.
Sarah, good to hear that Zander is finally getting over his cold. Nothing worse than a sick baby. Maybe you'll have to do the ring around on Wednesday morning to update the other mums on how he is going for MG.
Dinky, good to hear that Hayley is loving her solids. Little piggy's aren't they. Hope you come home with armfulls of goodies from Target. I love a good bargain shop.
Nat, sorry to hear that Jacob is dropping his daytime naps. Still atleast you are getting a good nights sleep in. A break from bub in the daytime is great though. There is only so much you can do to entertain a 4 month old.
Bec, good to hear that you had a nice day at Fi's house. Yay on the extra $$ too. Have fun on your shopping spree.
Nell, how are you and Matty going? Hope all is well with you.
Tanya, although I haven't checked I'm guessing that congrats are in order for you. Well done girl. Hope that Violet is going well for you.
Things have been really busy around hear. I took Tehya to the Dr's on Friday and got her hair checked out. Dr says if it was linked to anything else we would probably know about it already. She wants to keep an eye on it for the next few months and see how it all grows. Also I got a referal to "SLEEP SCHOOL" yep, finally bit the bullet, I can handle it no longer. I am planning on trying the day stay program at first to see how we go.
Noah has the flu and so do I. My head is killing me and I feel like I've been run over. Added to the fact that my little "Princess" has decided that 3 times a night isn't enought to get up and that she would give 6 times a go on Sunday night and 5 last night ](*,) She is loving her tucker and yesterday I gave her some pureed apples. She scoffed them down, very cute.
Joel had a great game of footy on Saturday. His last game is on this weekend. I was cheering pretty loudly on Saturday when I realised I should probably shut up. I was standing with the other teams supporters and they were a pretty wild bunch.
Mark went out to a bucks day/night on Saturday and surprisingly he was home by 12am. He even left before the double girly show. Admitidly it was only because there was this nob of a guy throwing his weight around and Mark didn't want to be the next one with a smack in the mouth. Still he missed out on the show, which of course I'm really sad about
Oh well enough of my whinging. I hope that all are doing well. Have a great day.
Fi - sounds like you guys had an awesome mother's group at your place. Awww... so cute that little Jenna and Eliza were holding hands. Good on you for getting some books read! I am still waiting for the library to contact me and tell me about this month's book club book. I bet it doesn't come in until September!! Grrrr...
Trish - good to hear you are in the land of the living but, by the sounds of it, just barely. What a good boy Mark is for not staying at the buck's night all night. It's nice when they manage to show a little restraint! What's wrong with Tehya's hair? Did I miss something?? Good on you for booking in at sleep school. They may just have the recipe that you need.
Nat - good luck for Jacob's needles on Thursday. What a good boy sleeping all night for you! Pity about the lack of sleep during the day. Hopefully he will "do a Gabby" and just suddenly start having good naps during the day too.
Bec - woo hoo @ the extra cash! Hope you had a fun shopping spree. Are you going to stop going to your MG now that you have joined Fi's (because they are legends... hehehe)?
Sarah - I wouldn't worry too much about having MG @ your place. Zander would be over the contageous stage by now. Maybe just tell all the Mum's and they can leave it to their discretion as to whether they come over or not. Uno the funny thing... I went to school with a boy named Dallas. We always copped flack about "Debbie does Dallas" even though, at Primary School, most kids had no idea what that meant. In high school it was "Debbie does Drysdale" (the town I used to live in). Ha ha... very funny!
Gab's needles went really well. She was as happy as larry leading up to them - giving the nurse heaps of smiles. Well... the look on her face when she gave her the spoon. Ick! She was not impressed. Then the needles. Urrgh.. THAT cry! It's so hard to listen to her cry like that. It just got louder and louder with each needle. I put her on the boob straight away and she grizzled and sucked for a little while. After about 5 minutes, she was finished, sat up and gave the nurse a massive smile!! LOL
Honestly, she hasn't really shown any side-effects. I gave her some panadol before we went and then some more about 5 hours later but she has been fine. She slept all night and woke up happy. No bruises or anything. She's a clever little munchkin!
We picked up her cot a couple of days ago so now I just have to put it together and in her room. I might leave it until the weekend until I try her in it - I don't want to introduce change straight after her needles or else she may make an association to pain and major change. Yes... I have a warped mind!
Really gorgeous day here. 18 degrees!! Not bad for winter. I am going for a walk come hell or high water!
Yay on the needles Deb! That is great that Gabby went so well. Clever little sausage. I'm definitly giving Jenna some panadol before we go cause last time she was off colour for 3 days!! What is the go with your cot? I dodn't realise you had bought one.
Trish - Yay on Mark not staying for the girly act. I have another hens night this weekend. Dont think I'll be staying for the stripper either. And as long as you are saying good things, dont ever worry about being vocal on the sidelines. The kids love it!
Nat - Good luck for you and Jacob on Thrusday too. Jenna is doing the same with food - she is pulling things into her mouth all the time, and watches us like a hawk when we are eating and drinking.
Bec - I dont think you are supposed to spend that money - remember the power bill??
OK - back to the grindstone. I had a netball match at 9:40 last night,a nd didn't get to sleep until about 11:30. And jenna is doing these 2-4am wake-ups lately , so I'm pretty buggered. Slept in to 8:45 though, so I feel OKish.
Fi - urrgh @ the crappy sleeps. Any wonder you feel buggered. We borrowed a friend's cot because the one I painted just never happened, LOL. Gab could probably be in the cradle for a little longer but she is getting so big now and it just doesn't feel as stable.
Deb, I posted last week I think it was in Baby and Toddler discussion about her hair. So nope, you didn't miss anything in here.
On the right side of Tehya's head she has a patch of pure white hair about the size of a 20 cent coin. We were ok about that, not too stressed.. But now as more hair is coming through it seems that about 1/4 of the back of her head on the right side from her ear back - kwim, the hair is coming through pure white. I asked the hairdresser about it when we took Noah in for a haircut and she said that she has no pigment in her hair there. It would always be white, if we were lucky maybe blonde. After doing too much research on the internet I found out that it was called Poliosis and that it can be linked to other diseases as well. So anyway, as I said the Dr just wants to watch it for a while. Scary thing about it though it means that she also has no melanin there either. This is what helps your skin to tan and protects your skin, so she will be really suseptible(sp) to melanomas. Mums gf'f daughter has the same thing and she had a melanoma removed at the age of 11.
Looks like we have to staple hats onto her head for her now
The more hair she gets the more the white stands out too. If only she had blonde hair, we wouldn't notice it then.
