I have been reading, just haven't had the time to post. Back at uni, and it seems to be a full on semster, I have my first presentation this Friday!!
Kit - I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, thinking of you and family at this time.
AFM - *TMI WARNING* my spotting/bleeding has come to an end and I have creamy mucous and the pregnancy test came back negative - so it looks like we are back on the TTC wagon. Feeling a lil nervous!!
Had a check up at the gyno clicic at the hospital on monday. Everything is back to normal and looking good. There is a small thing in there but they think that im getting ready for my period and they can see the sack forming with the egg getting ready for ovulation. I asked her how long i should wait and she said that as soon as were ready. i said if it happened now would it be a problem and she said it wouldnt
Though DH wants to wait a month for my body to be on track but they said im good so why wait.
Was good to hear as ive been worried.
Found out on monday as well that my BIL fiance is pregnant I cried straight away not because im sad for them but just because i feel like ive been hit in the face. and they are the last ones everyone thought would be pregnant again as they have other stuff going on and 6 kids combined.
Hope everyone is wel. This is just a qquick pop in message. On my sisters computer so will reply properly when i get home. Compuer has been down. have a cable hopefully thats all thats wrong with it. I know its not the hard drive had that checked already.
AF finally showed up this morning, after 36 days I am so happy to see her now I can get my gizmo thingy turned on and hopefully catch ovulation this time,
I have put 30 days on my ticker but have no idea how long it will be !
Murraycod yay for clomid hope your ok on it gave me hot flushes and made me sleepless at night time but then again when your on it your stressing anyways, knowing what its doing for you, I would still bdance if I was you at least you are in with a double chance then ( but I am that sort of person dare to try anything even if it meant multiple births ) a big family in one big hit ! no serously what harm can it do at least sub consiously you know you gave it your best shot, but you will have to guess the day ! as would be before the transfer ! (Hope thats not made it worse for you )
Ferrals now I got to study this damn booklet make sure I do the thing right ! yay for clear blue ! fertility monitors ( hope its worth the money ) How long a cycle do you think I will have this time will it make a differance to this monitor ?
everyone else glad your all trucking along will be back later to see the latest updates !
Hi Everyone,
I have been reading all your posts over the last couple of weeks, I think you are all so brave.
Thank you all for voicing the feelings I have been struggling to put into words.
Our baby left us on the 20th Jan at 12 w 5 d, I dont think I have been more devestated in my whole life.
Just waiting now for my cycle to get back to normal after d&c before ttc again, feeling scared about the whole thing and what will happen.
Snugglybean- you are right funny things happen in a girl house too and if I'm completely honest **TMI Alert** I quite like butch girls and they tend to sit around with their hands down their pants too so I know exactly what you are all talking about. see things are really no different in Lesbianland.
Murrycod- I had no side affects from the clomid and I was on it for months. It should help you O so I'm with Crafty I'd be going for it so that i was still i with a chance either way.
KitF- so sorry to hear about your auntie
SammyP- the cup cakes are adorable you should go into production and sell them through pet shops you'd make a packet.
Mildez- sorry to hear you are feeling down. Please still feel free to pop in for some support we are here for you
T-Hopes- love the pap smear story. I once got the same comment about it being "a bit tight down there". She then went on to ask me if I was a virgin!!! seriously would I be putting myself through that if I was! Crazy woman.
Crafty - Whoo AF is in the house Good luck with gizmoing sounds like it will take away all the guess work.
Iona and Miss K glad you are both back on the TTC train, I hope your BFPs are just a quick trip away.
AFM- I am feeling much better, way more positive and back to my old self. I am still going to see the psychologist tomorrow though. I have ordered a fertility detox kit for donor daddy and I off the net which is much of the herbs I have tried before but with special teas etc as well. I am hoping that will also kick me into action with eating better and feeling healthier. I have still been walking and doing yoga but have been slack with my food choices (he he too much popcorn!!) If my cycle follows the same as my last D&C I will not see AF until about the 6th April so I feel I have a while to get myself together and get healthy again.
Alice-Since when can't you have an orgasm when pregnant i had um! well lets say multitudes of them with no problems and after IVF i was told sex and orgasm is good for blood flow to the uterus and helps implantation we all hear different things but that is one thing i just refuse to give up.
I even made DH stop in the bush one time when we went for a walk now theres a visual a pregnant lady and her hubby in the bush LOL.
Kitfaerie-sorry about your aunty and i have a rose in the house right now i buy one every now and then to put with Abbi's ashes so i had a sniff for you.and your aunty.
Sarahrach-Bloody AF how dare she show up uninvited at least you didn't waste money on HPT and yes i have heard of cycles mucked up after m/c it might take a cycle or two to settle down.
Jahzara- my boys use to do that when they were little so funny you brought back memories.
Sunbeam-I'm sure you would have some stories maybe not with an old fella but us humans are funny things and we do the strangest things to get our partners attention.
T-Hopes-not quite throwing a sausage up a hallway hey! so funny i have had four kids and the doctor still has trouble with me also i have to lift my butt and relax and lay on a pillow to get the thing in there but when it comes to DH no prob's.
Murrycod-typical MEN! and sorry if it was me who started this topic but it's on my mind all the time i am sick i tell ya sick.
Snugglebean-you alice and i must have the same problem lol love the pregnancy porn.
Crafty-Yeh for your AF and no it shouldn't matter as long as your cycle is between 21 days and 42 days(i think) the monitor will work if it reads your hormone like i said before keep all the wee sticks and number them and you can see the difference in the colour of the E2 line and LH line as it changes close to OV time i posted mine before and it was so clear no mistaken it.
Mildez - I can understand you wanting to be pg again before your little one's EDD. I'm so sorry it hasn't happened yet. Hang in there x
Iona-Macca and MissK -
SammyP - and to you too with the TWW - it's so damn hard to be waiting!!
Crafty - go the gizmo! Time for some target practice
Ferrals - LOL I'm with you - no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't stop! Anyway, I'm glad I didn't beat myself up about that. I read so many different things on the net but I was reassured in the end that it was O.K.
AFM, still waiting for the pathology results from our mc so think I will ring my FS today to see if they are in. I'm on the couch watching videos feeling ick with ear infection & sore throat. I wanted to get the flu shot before this happened but it's not in yet and looks like same as last year my body just goes down with the first sniffle I hear on the train. Boring!
Murrycod-I'm with the other girls i would BD for the added reasurance and if (touch wood) harvey or harriet doesn't survive thawing then you will feel better that at least it wasn't a wasted cycle and you are still in there with a chance because as we both know the waiting is the worst but to wait all that time and not even be able to do a transfer is devastating it was for me i wish i had decided to have one of my grade 3 embryos transfered at least i would have walked away with some hope and not heartbreak after all those months waiting but at the time we were scared of having another sick baby now when i think about it those grade 3 embies would have been the same chance as trying the natural way and they went to waste if only i could go back and do things differently.
Alice: I'm sick too, DH came home with a cold, and of course I got it too *sigh*, it was nice to have him home today though, lots of hugs. I'm glad we got sick this week, instead of next, I'm not above stuffing both our noses with tissues and BD'ing anyway but it's not pleasant, lol. Let us know what happens with the results.
T-hopes: I get the same thing, always get told I must be very nervous and I have to relax to make it easier, like having a cold metal thing shoved up your fadangdang is sooo relaxing, lol.
Sunbeam: Glad your feeling better, and that you and donor daddy have a plan (big fan of plans!), hope AF shows up quickly for you.
Crafty: How hard is it to decide how many days to put on that darn ticker! I really wanted a 30'ish option, lol.
Iona Macca: Yup, nervous is how it goes, lol. Feel free to talk about anything you need too. Best of luck sweetheart, I'm glad we get to all do this together, it makes a big difference.
Gah, tired now. Whole lot of nothing happening for me anyway. DH says hello, and wants to know if it's ok if he posts sometime? (Sweet ain't he?) Love to everyone!
Good grief 20hours with no posts that has to be a record for this thread. Did we all take a vow of silence ??
Just wanted to say my counselling session went really well. The lady was lovely and very reassuring that all that i was thinking a feeling was real and valid and that i've not quite lost my mind so that was nice to hear.
I then popped over to make a time to see my FS and he was just about to have his lunch break but saw me instead (what a lovely man). He talked me through my blood test results and we talked about my options. He is happy for me to start another IUI cylcle as soon as AF is back with the view to doing IVF if IUI does not work or I miscarry again. Feels good to have direction again.
Subeam - must be a record. I typed a really long post and lost it yesterday and then lost the will to retype. I am soooooo glad your session went well today. It can really make a difference. And that was lovely of yor FS. Lucky you. Good that you have some direction now too. It's just so nice to hear the positive Sunbeam back in your posts!
Kit - my kitty Arthur almost typed something to you. He was very insistent and stood all over the computer but missed the key board. How is your DH going? Is he a man who prefers female company? Whenever I used to go out with my work colleagues and their partners, DH would always prefer to hang around with the women.
Hi to everyone else. I said so much in my post yesterday in reply, and its been lost and I can't get it back. Don't we all know that all too well. So know I am thinking of you and Laughing a lot at al the risque and suggestive BDing that seems to be going on. You go girls.
AFM - all going well. Bit bored at home today, but oh well. That's just something that is a part of my reality at the moment. I suppose I could take it as a sign I am feeling better both in terms of fatigue and also recovery from a virus I had earlier this week. I often wonder what will be the effects on me and my personality on what is really quite lengthy isolation from the world? Oh well I hope I get to find out. Take care
Dory - good that you are over the virus you caught earlier. Boredom might be good, like you say, a sign of your energy coming back. I think isolation from the world is a two-edged sword - good for us to regroup but can get a bit dangerous (for me anyway) if too much of it goes on. Maybe have some plans to do some nice things that are easy on you and the bub, that get you outside or put you in contact with others. Just a thought.
Sunbeam - hooray for lovely FS (mine is terrific too) and for the counseling session and for having a plan. Onwards and upwards!
Hello to your DH Kit and to you too!
Ferrals, we wonder the same thing about our past embies. This last cycle, on day three we have five grade ones, on day five, we had two grade ones, a grade two and two grade threes. By the day of the transfer we had one grade two and none to keep. We talked to our FS about that and he has agreed to put back more next time (if we get that far)(fingers crossed). I have lots of regrets about all our embies - we've had so many and it wasn't until this last cycle (and by then me being over 40) that they started really looking into why they don't stick. The clexane worked for us I think, but also the DHEA helped but we've had grade 1 embies in the past so I don't know. Sometimes it is all clear as mud.
AFM, [edited] blah was feeling a bit upset with the inlaws for not being very (or obviously) concerned about our mc. It wasn't til I wrote it down and read it back that I could see I was being a tad self obsessed. I've spent way too much time inside this week feeling sorry for myself. Time for a walk! See, this forum is a good thing, a very good thing.
Hope everyone is doing OK. Any POAS news? How 'bout the TWWers?
Sunbeam-glad to see things are looking up for you hope AF doesn't keep you waiting to long.
Alice-it is hard not to be obsessed when we want somthing so badly.
AFM-not a great deal going on i had a high reading on my CBFM and the line shows my E2 is on the rise so i am guessing that i will have a high reading again sat sun and mon then peak around tue wed so right on time it should be day 13 when i o and DH is off for a week on stress leave so we will have plenty of BDing time.
Thank you all for putting into words the feelings i have been unable to, you are all so brave......
I miscarried our baby on the 20/01/2010 at 12w5d, I dont think i have ever felt more heartbroken than i did in hearing the words "no movement, no heartbeat".
I have been following you all for the last few weeks, In reading your posts I have cried at your emotional experiences and laughed in your descriptions of your DH/DP's and their rogers.
Morning all
Yay for you Ferrals got your man at home for a whole week No excuses this month then this is it the start of your journey all my good wishes are sent to you you so deserve a BFP and a healthy bub !
I am on day 3 so still not tried this thing out yet properly but I am not that far behind you so you will be testing as I am in the TWW ! yipee lets hope its a double whammy this month !
Murraycod seems we all feel the same on here so go for it girl ! take the clomid and get sha***ng and lets hope you get twins !!!!!
AFM not a lot going on really AF is being kind for once not to much cramping and not too heavy so thats a releif, its my daughters 15th birthday on sunday so got that to keep me busy but its also my EDD so will be quietly crying inside thinking of what could have been the best present ever for her ! oh well maybe next year hey !
Alice: I was quite angry with my dad after the m/c (we were staying with them for christmas when it happened) he took the day off work and came with us to the hosp on the day of the D&C, but after that he acted like it hadn't really happened, if I looked sad his way of cheering me up was to tell me jokes. That didn't go down so well, to say the least. I figure it's a generation thing. I know that he cares about me, even if he's not sure why it was so upsetting, I try not to make assumptions about his behaviour, plus what chance do I really have of totally figuring out a 60yr old man's motivations? I know he cares about me, and I'm sure your family cares about you. I guess I'm saying get what you need where you can, and assume that if ppl are capable of supporting you, then they will, and if not, then they did the best they could. My dad's terrible terrible jokes were the best he could give me, and maybe your MIL's silence is the best she can give you at the moment. And I'm a big fan of self obsession
Dory: Why hello Arthur! What a nice kitty to want to write messages My cat is being really annoying, sitting in front of the screen so I can't see anything. And yeah, DH does prefer female company, he says boys dont think enough. Our friendship group is pretty even with males/females, but it's definitely female led, lol.
Ferrals: Yay! A whole week of BDÃ*ng! Rock out with your co...well I wont finish that sentence.
Crafty: I'm glad AF is being kind, I'm sorry about your EDD, I'm really not looking forward to mine in July. You never know what the future may bring, especially now you've got your gizmo! You really deserve a beautiful new baby xoxo
Sunbeam: I'm glad your feeling positive, yay!
AFM: Meh, not much happening. I really prefer this time to the TWW though! I'm feeling ok, I got preg not long after my Aunty was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, and she said that it was good to know that there was life in death, she was really happy, so it sucked soooo much when I m/c, felt like I'd let our whole family down. I wanted to be preg again before she left, but it wasn't to be. Now that she's gone, I realise it's nothing to do with me, whether i was preg or not, it's all about her, and I'm glad of that. (And you thought you were self obsessed Alice!)
Hey all i feel so bad not being on here in awhile but WOW 5 kiddos sure have kept me on my toes..lol
The snow is all gone and its been soo beauitful out the last 3 days!!
I wanted to stop in and say hello and i miss talking to you all.. and to wish you all the best of luck..
I did get 20 mins nap..lol i got woken up by the phone ringing and it was my GYN office and they said they would be calling me tomorrow for my surgery date .. something about checking my tubes..
i cant remember what all she said i was half asleep so imma wait till she calls or call her..
I thought Lap is the only way they can check your tubes and all. which i know my tubes are open and flowing thru cause it already has happen the last gyn checked that for me.. so im confused.. plus they are concerned about my white blood cells. what is going on with them... so i be on the phone with my family doctor to to see what he thinks.. BUT i will be getting tested first b4 i even do anything...but im not getting my hopes up..
Well i wanted you all to know im still here just very busy and do know you all are being thought of =]
Best of luck and soo much baby dust and sticky vibes..
Hugs anita
Ferrals- a whole week to Bd that should suit you down to the ground no chance that eggie will slip by you this month good luck babe.
KitF- so glad that you are able to feel okay with your aunt's passing and the idea of life in death. I often get scared about the idea of someone passing to make room for a new life because I worry who it will be but the idea of their spirit returning makes me happy.
Crafty- I'm glad there will be celebration (as well as tears) on your EDD. EDD's are so hard and I have decided not to know mine in future pgs at least not to start with if I can help it as I don't want a calendar full of sad days.
TTCALC- glad the snow has stopped. It must be so fun having 5 kidlets running around. Not sure why they'd want to check your tubes again but probably they'd do a HSG.
AFM- happy that it's friday and that my dad is coming for the weeked on his way to the UK to see my brother. Unfortunately I have one recurring thought that is making me a bit sad. It did not occur to me until last night but in my discussion with FS yesterday he said the fetal tissue was XX which means it was a girl It kind of broke down my "it was never really a baby because there was nothing on the scan" defense. I really want a girl so i guess I'll just have to cling to the hope that she will come back to me.
