Hubba- glad the Hcg is still rising. You can keep posting here as long as you like. I just wanted to say good luck with the scan but also don't be worried if there is not much to see. Scans are usually only useful when your Hcg has reached 1500 or more. Let us know how you go
Hubbabubba you are welcome to post and lurk in here as much as you need to XX
I know that if I am lucky enough to get a positive beta, I will have an awfull lot of trouble not talking to all of my friends here as much as I do now.
Crafty, no, not the best of news you could have gotten, but atleast you know what is now going on, and are able to get more help to push things on a little if you do decide to XXXXX
You are not having a good week. At all. Darling, Big Fat Juicy Hugg and kiss comming your way XXXOOO
I have always said, as hard as it is, we would all rather know the bad news of what is going on down there, so we can attampt to tackle it head on. Better than not knowing, and having it bite us in the butt when we are at our most vulnerable.
Miracles do happen, we have to hold on to that.
Ferrals....You..are..NOT..a..dud...... you are a goose though! Have a great appt with C Chan on Monday XXXX
I had to stop all of my supplements that my natropath gave me while doing this IVF stuff, only take Elivate now X
TTCALC, I often lurk around other threads, don't feel like you don't belong in the others just because you have made such good friends here. I always throw in a comment here and there in other forums, all of the girls are friendly, and like to make new friends too.
HubbaBubba: It's always good to hear good news, personally, your journey gives me hope, so please keep posting!
Crafty: I'm sorry the news wasn't brilliant, but there's always a chance! Now you know what your dealing with and you can work out how to best approach it so to give it the best chance possible to work out in your favour, knowledge is ammunition!
Ferrals: Your not a dud! You have some killer DNA in there any by god your going to pass it on! Let me know how your appt goes.
MatthewsMum: Only you know if your family isn't finished, we're right behind you every step of the way.
Sunbeam: I know what you mean, I'd gotten used to doing so many things when I was pregnant - taking all the right tablets, avoiding all the wrong foods. I threw my folate pills across the room the day after the d&c. It actually made me feel better, lol. Of course I had to start taking them again cos I was still TTC but that wasn't the point!
MurrayCod: I will gladly give you my AF! She's not too much trouble, I trust you'll give her a good home.
TTCALC: I feel a bit weird posting in other forums too, lol, but everyone has been lovely.
AFM: Haven't tested again yet. Getting some cramping, which could go either way, boobs are sore on and off, I think it was just progesterone related, cos it's fading as I get closer to AF. DH is oddly hopeful, I think we'll be disappointed
I have sent an email to the clinic the Dr reffered me too and they replied within an hour so that was prity impressive to say the least, I am not able to phone at the moment as I am a bit fragile you know ( tearful when trying to talk about this ) so I emailed them told them my age and what the bloods said and about my mc 6 mnths ago and they said they can definately help. Do tests to see my egg reserves and also test DH ! well some of you may know that 20yrs ago they diagnosed him as being almost a JAFFA ( seedless orange ) he has produced 7 kids since then so well he is up for the test and will do whatever it takes to make sure we get one more BFP so girls I AM NOT GIVING UP NOT WITHOUT A FIGHT ! SO that out of my system I just have to wait to see when they can fit us in for an initial consultation !
Hubba great news on you hcg please stick around and let us know how your doing the other girls pop in now and then too,
SPFairy how you doing ! Dory thinking of you today ! Eliselouise how you doing honey ! and everyne else who got a luck BFP we are following you soon real sooooon !
Crafty- Good on you, that's the spirit girl, welcome back Crafty . The clinic do sound impressive responding so quickly lets hope they can get you UTD just as fast.
Kit F- hope your DH is right and rotten old AF stays well away.
AFM- I've made it through another day. Going for our walk again tonight, then yum (healthy) dinner and going to see Valentines Day at the movies, not sure I'll be able to resist the popcorn but think i deserve some.
Hi everyone - just wanted to drop by and let you know I have been thinking of you all! Hoping to be able to join you all again very soon with the TTC journey! Eagerly awaiting AF's arrival! My Chinese doc said that if its a normal period we can get back in to it!! I'm praying that it is! Expecting it any moment now! Hurry up!
I'm a long way behind on everything thing thats happened over the last few weeks, didn't realise i had been away so long! Im sorry for anyone that has had a tough few weeks... i hope the road smooths out a little for you soon!
Those with good news... well congrats! Hope your feeling well, hang in there and stay positive!
Those that are just plodding along, watching the clock, the calendar, the ticker - be patient. I hear that good things come to those that wait - and I'm trying to believe it!
t-hopes not long now then, the past month didn't seem to last too long. i hope this time af is kind to you and you can get back ttc as soon as she has gone.
Sunbeam well done you, for getting on a health kick. i think you deserve pop-corn, it can't be that bad for you can it? and if it is you could just do more exercise tomorrow.... hope you are ok, i have been following your story.
craftymummy9 doctors don't seem to know much about some things, and do only read what the lab writes. so it is better for you to see a fertility specialist. and i know what you mean about being tearful, i was all emotional at work again today. but at least they got back to you quickly, so that sounds like they are pretty efficient.
KitFaerie good luck if you decide to test again. when is af due? i had no idea i was pg this time, so you are always in with a chance.
hubba_bubba07 great news! when do you have your scan booked for as it will be a while before they can see anything on ultrasound if your hcg is 96. sounds like it's doubling like it should though. i know how scary it is being paml. i got my hcg done 3 times to check it was rising and still didn't believe it.
Matthew's Mum good luck this with this ivf cycle.
ferrals4 at least you timed bd right with your new fertility monitor. don't give up hope, you can still be pregnant and not have any symptoms, although the headaches could be a good sign!
TTCALoveChild i feel most comfortable in here too, it's hard to stop checking in here daily. good luck for when you test! not too long to go now.
tryingfornumber3 sorry for you loss, you can catch the egg before you get af, but it is better for dating to have one af after a m/c, but it's up to you whatever you feel comfortable doing.
afm, just a bit of an update, i had my scan today and i think it went well. bub was measuring 5w5d so puts me back a little to edd of 21/10, but my cycles were longer than average so i think that is ok, and heart rate was 132. thanks for asking about me i do keep popping in, hoping to see some good news from you all.
Sunbeam - is that a cat curled up in the corner of your avvy?
Murray - good to see the avvy. Sorry if I am a bit slow.
Just a quick post from me ( sorry I am cutting and pasting a bit here because i wanted to tell you about my day). I am thinking of you, and hopefully will be feeling more talkative soon. Still pg and no more scares. 10 weeks tomorrow.
It does feel like I will never get there, underneath all the bravado, that it my abiding fear. I am for the most part really thankful for each day of this pg.
FM - well today was my darling Amelia's first anniversary. 23 Feb 2009; 14:28; 455grams; 27 cms; 21 weeks on the cusp of 22 weeks gest, our brown haired girl. I can't and don't think of it as her birthday. That just doesn't work for me.
Today, wasn't as hard as I thought it might be. I was more affected leading up to today than on today. DH took the day off work and I am not working( one week as of today!), so we slept in and snuggled ( no BD for me, way too scared) and then went for brunch and then a walk in the park and along the river. In the arvo we snuggled again, looked through our photos, shared some precious memories and listened to the songs we had played for the funeral service. In the end as sad as I am, the most significant memory for me today is just how much our precious girl was loved and how much she gave to us in those fleeting joyous but heartbreaking moments. I am so blessed to have been given such a precious gift. So today? DH and I honoured our baby girl by living, and remembering her. I had day reams of doing something more symbolic, but in the end, for me, it felt contrived.
Hey girl's just a quick one i just got home from work.
Crafty-your hormones are not great but you can take all sorts of stuff to slow the process down did you find out how many follicles you had all up in your ovaries a good number of follies is a good sign of egg reserve the E2 was low mine was 187 on day 1 of my cycle and they like it to double every 2 days but dont want it to be to high to start off like my first cycle it was 300 the E2 is made by the follicles as they grow so the they say around ovulation the more follicles the higher the E2 i had an E2 of 16000 and 24 follicles on ivf but i also had a non medicated cycle monitored before and had 14 follicles and an E2 of 2300 on day 13 so it gives the FS an idea on numbers even if you only had that one egg if it's healthy then you can get pregnant go have a talk to them find out all your options and dont give up hope not yet.
Sunbeam-actually yes i have thought about IUI's and might talk to SIVF about it as i did like my FS and would like to stay with her but i have until the end of april to decide and i hope i get my miracle before then.
Murrycod-yes i am a goose i know stupid hormones i wish there was a test that we could take earlier the waiting is killing me.
I am off to bed i will do more persies in the morning night all
I've been sitting here reading through your post (hope you dont mind). I lost my bub at 19 weeks 2 weeks ago. Still hurting so much, cant believe it happened. I feel like a failure but am tryin to look to the future. I cant change whats happened i know. I need to keep my lil boy close to my heart and keep on going. I want to try again asap.
If its ok i would like to stay around and join the group if i can?
welcome Sunshine_6. So sorry to hear of your loss, it's so heartbreaking. You will find lots of good support and friends in this thread. Welcome welcome.
I'm still in that limbo land after MC awaiting O. I thought I was about to get it a few days back with EWCM, but no temp rise as yet.
The thing I'm a little concerned about is I'm getting cramping on my left ovary. When I MC they said there was a corpus luteum cyst on the left ovary. Is there anyway this could still be causing a problem with Oing?
Thanks - and hi Sunshine, sorry about your loss. Such a horrible thing to have to go through. Life is unfair.
Dory- I can't imagine how hard yesterday and the surrounding days must have been. It sounds like you honoured Amelia in a very loving way. Much as all loss is hard I am always greatful that mine have been early on. I hope being pregnant makes things a little easier, congratulations on 10 weeks though I'm sure the fear will be there for a while more yet. Huge hugs
Yes it is a cat in my avvy, it is my little Princess Phoebie, you can see a photo of her (and me and donor daddy) on my profile page.
Ferrals- Yay for peeing in the night I'm on tender hooks to find out if you are UTD.
Sunshine- Welcome to our thread I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You are not a failure in the least. Please feel free to share all you are going through you will not find a more caring, supportive, loving and understanding group of women anywhere.
AFM - Got back from Sydney yesterday and we are stuffed ! Concert was absolutely fabulous as expected.
AF showed up yesterday (in time for the plane trip back home ) 4 days late ! Never happens, so i dont know what is going on there....
Welcome sunshine6 so sorry you had to join us ! I hope you can find some comfort in here talking to all these lovely ladies all of us with a sad loss and all trying to get a big BFP. Some have been in here a while some stay only a few months but we all try to help in any way we can so ask away and hope we can help you on your journey
Ferrals oh the suspense fingers crossed for you girl not much longer now only another week of waiting ! I am trying not to think about it but the fact you are nearly the same day testing as me HOW CAN I FORGET !
Thanks for the reassurance I am waiting to get an appointment at the Pivet clinic so hopefully not too long a wait !
My results are as follows but mean nothing to me and my GP didn't seem too clued up either he just read the ( borderline levels which are suggestive of early perimenopause )
here goes anyways maybe you know more On day 14 of my cycle the results were,
Follicle stimulatin Hormone 17 IU/L
Luteinising Hormone 14 IU/L
Estradiol 159 pmol/L
Progesterone 2.4 nmol/L
Means nothing to me and also I don't know if I will be on a 28 day or 32 day cycle so it may not be the middle day iykwim, My follicle was 11mm but they didn't say how many I had in the ovary so I guess I will have more tests at the fs who can tell me my egg reserve and also DHs sperm count ! seems we have come full circle after 21 yrs !
SPfairy glad your doing well, Dory you had a lovely day yesterday so quiet and thinking of your little girl how sweet you are glad it was not too painful for you !
sunbeam seems your getting stronger by the day good on ya girl !
Murraycod you feeling anything as yet ! signs of AF or a big fat BFP you never know ! if you and ferrals move over to the BBuddies together oh how I want to come toooo !
Hey Crafty,
Without looking at my old bt sheets I can't comment on your levels but I do know that by the time you o your follie needs to be about 18-20mm thats when it is considered ready to go. I can't remember how fast they grow but I can check that for you too. Either way if your follie was only 11mm you where not mid cycle ie not near to O day. Hope that helps as it may explain the low levels somewhat.
