Thread: Trying to Conceive after Miscarriage or Loss ~ June #2 2006

    Talking

I feel I am ready, but was told to wait 6 weeks for the hormones to sort themselves out. The m/c was at only 2 weeks, so it was almost as if it was AF, but different.
The reason why I ask is that we got the action on Tuesday night (very late) and I am o'ing since this morning. I have been getting the usual pains but a bit stronger. I didn't think it was that close....will wait and see what pans out.

We will be ok if nothing happens this month, but it could be close.

Will just have to wait 2 weeks now!!

    Goodluck to everyone.

    Hi Girls,

Welcome Moglie and so sorry to hear of your recent loss, I was also told after i have a proper cycle and then could try, goodluck in whichever decision you make.

Jayne, maybe if you have the energy tonight you should put the porn star suit on (or off), as the tests say that you should O 24-36 hours after the line, so maybe for good measure, can't hurt!!

Nola, thanks for bringing in all the heavy machinery , we are needing some extra help at the moment, been a bit dry for a few weeks!! your ticker is just fly'n on by!

Lisa, Glad to hear AF has almost left town, rest up now hun, as that long month of bd'g is just around the corner!! I use ovunow opk's which i bought off an ebay store, the cost me $42 for 100, or you can buy 20 for $10, i found them to be quite reliable and when you are testing a few times a day it can get really expensive if you are using the supermarket ones, from memory i think fortel sell 5 for $20. anyway do your resarch over the net before buying from the supermarket i think.

Tanya, Im exactly the same as you and always test before af is due, its a disgusting habbit!!! i am also restraining myself from popping off to woolies to grab one!! hopefully this time next week will be shipping out of here!!

Kirsty, wow your dr app has come around fast, not for you though i bet! goodluck with it and i hope you get the results you want to hear!

Belinda, Sorry its a BFN sweety, hopefully its not showing up on a test yet! will have my fingers crossed for.

    Hello to everyone else.

Me, Well not much to report, my nips are not as itchy, but they are quite sensitive, i have been combatting my poas obsession by using opk's instead, as i have been told before that they can show up a + a bit earlier then hpt's, so each morning for the past three days i have been testing with opk's and it seems each day i have a faint line but each day its a tad bit darker when i have them lined up, so anyway that helps me to not go out and by any hpt's and i don't get overly excited or overly down by the results as i know they are not hpt's!!! now i am rambling on!
Well i hope you all have a wonderful evening

Afternoon girls, finally on the comp for the first time today, im so proud of myself! LOL

Thank you girls, I had left all hope of being pg til i read your replies!! LOL
Still brown cm atm, its not alot either, feels like af though although no real cramping, just weird feeling.
About implantation bleed - i read somewhere on here that its a rare occurance. And is generally only a red tinge when wiping?
Ok call me blonde if i should know more about it but i just dont understand about implantation bleed at all!

jayne - i so hope you caught the egg! Wishing you all the sticky vibes and baby dust i can lay my hands on!

Bel - its not over til AF sings a heavy note! Goodluck to you sweets!

Tanya - LOL at the urge to test, it becomes irrisistable at times doesnt it? Good luck when you do test, dont test early though, dont want to have the chance to be let down with a bfn when you can wait and be estatic with a BFP!

Lisa - annoying when you loose a whole post isnt it! then you cant either remember what exactly you wrote or cant be bothered! I hope AF stays away for you, goodluck with dtd and hope you catch the egg!

Moglie - Hi and welcome, i hope your ttc journey is a short and sweet one, im sorry to hear of your loss, and wishing you a sticky BFP real soon!

A big to anyone i have missed, im sorry, i'll try and catch up with you next post.

Michelle - its true that OPKs are supposed to pick up pg earlier, so the fact that your line is there, let alone getting darker is sounding very positive. Im hoping for you!!

Nola - Are you implying that I'm BOSSY? LOL. Yep, you betcha, I'll keep you all in line! Thanks for the heavy machinery today. I'm really hoping that it makes a difference. We are running dangerously low on BFP announcements just lately. I can only hope that our bodies are all lining up very subtly so that we announce them all in a short space of each other!

Naomi - This AF like discharge is sounding strange. Maybe your body is still working back to normal after the m/c? I'm really not sure. Hope she either comes or goes very soon so you can get back to basics.

Shell - Do you do OPK's a few times a day? Hmmm, I never thought of doing that. LOL. I had a gf told me that she kept doing OPK's while pg and they got darker and darker. The thing is, she didn't realise she was pg and thought she was O'ing because the OPK's were so dark so you never know!

Moglie - Welcome to our cluster of lovely ladies! I'm very sorry for your loss but please take comfort in all of us ladies who are holding you hand with you on your journey. I too was told to wait a complete cycle before TTC again but I have heard of loads of ladies falling pg directly after a m/c.

Bel - Glad to hear you're going to be ok if the BFN does turn out to be true. I'm still dubious about it. How is Miss Holly? Sounds like she's going to be a boxer huh? LOL. I would love to see a pic of Holly. I wanted Jessica to be Holly or Stephanie. PM if you want!

Lisa - BOL with getting NAKED over the weekend! I bet DH is thinking all his dreams are coming true!

Tanya - *very stern face from Jayne right now* you WILL not test before AF is due under ANY circumstances. I suggest you take the HPT's out of the bathroom and hide them somewhere until AF is due. LOL.

Kirsty - GL with the appt on Monday. I'm really hoping there are some answers waiting for you and that you are given the all clear to begin the TTC journey again. It's not fair that you have been through so much and no words can ever change what has been taken away from you. You are such a strong and inspirational woman and I really believe that your future holds lots of good things and some really stinky nappies!!! LOL. Let us know how you go on Monday.

ME - Nothing to report. Will bd tonight just for good measure. Am really peeved cos Jess had me up all night and I didn't get a temp reading this morning because of it. I'm assuming I'm 3DPO atm. My cycle is usually 40 days so I'll wait until AT LEAST then (if I can), do POAS. I don't even have any. I aim not to buy any until if/when I'm late.

Hope everybody is having a terrific day.

    Jayne

PS - Nola, is there any chance that you can have David from BB06 driving any of that machinery you ordered?

Hello lovely ladies - just found a moment to pop in here again and see how everyone is doing

Naomi - Implantation bleed usually occurs about 5-10 days post ovulation and is when the little embyro buries itself into the lining of your uterus. Some women will actually bleed a little during this time - it can be fresh, red blood, pink or brown discharge as this is just old blood from a few days earlier.I don't think it is a rare occurence at all. So you are definitely still in the running

Shell - crossing everything we here an announcement from you soon!

jayne - sounds like you have done everything possible to catch that eggie - hope the TWW flies by for you

Af has arrived sorta, meaning there is some red there now! DAMN IT, back to square 1!

but then after reading what meridith wrote.......makes me wonder. AF isnt in full on just the same as the brown discharge - and yes looks like it does at the end of af normally. hhhhhmmmmm just with a bit of red hhhmmmmm still maybe in the waiting game!

Thankyou Meridith for that, you learn something new everyday!

and the hope rope still holds me up ........LOL

    Hi Girls

Welcome Moglie, I am sorry to hear of your recent loss But I think if you feel ready to ttc again, go for it!! I asked the Dr why some Dr's recomend to wait a cycle, and the reply was to help with dating the pregnancy. So if you are Oing, then I would say your hormones have sorted themselves out already. Do what you feel right with

Naomi, I hope that spotting stops!!

Shell... I hope those OPK's are telling you something good

Thanks for helping me not test girls... it's hard!
    4 MORE DAYS!!

Thanks Ladies for your warm welcomes, I feel very welcome and supported in this thread. Even though the m/c was only at 2 weeks it still has been painful.

As for Dr's saying to wait so you can better date the pregnancy, they push the start date back to the date of your last period (which you couldn't have been pregnant at anyway because you're bleeding!) So long as you know when you ovulate, then they should be able to take it from that. Anyway pregnancy isn't an exact science, everyone is different.

Will wait until the end of this cycle to see if our babymaking (and me getting the wrong dates) aligned.

    Fingers crossed for everyone
