littlescottishboy - There is another thread on here called something like TTC w/clomid. I have PCOS and had been trying for 2.5yrs unsuccessfully. Before I started on it, I had some progesterone BT's to try and pinpoint where I was ovulating - and that was unsuccessful, so I started on 50mg of Clomid, had the same BT's and they said it was working. It then took us 5mths before we conceived on it, which was disappointing, because I assumed once I was on it, it would work 1st go - which it can, but didn't happen in our case. It has also shortened my cycles, and I ovulate earlier now, as well. Good luck with the FS.

    Hi to everyone else!

So much going on in here!

BW—no anxiety around O time for me, but the progesterone in that first week after ovulation throws me for a turn. I get tired, depressed, nauseous, and spotty. In a way, though, I’m grateful that it happens so early on, before I can interpret them as positive signs.

Dawnee, Beaksie and Starrysky—glad I have some company for the TWW. Fingers crossed.

6DPO for me. Having some mild cramping, but I’ve been travelling for work for the past few days and that tends to happen because I don’t eat as well (okay, I admit it, I ate utter crap). So who knows, maybe it’s a sign, maybe pure coincidence.

Hiya to LJ, LSB, Satya, and everyone I missed!

    Question

Hello everyone, just wanted to ask a quick question. I had been on clomid for 4 months, and it helped me to ovulate but not to fall pg. Before the clomid my cycle had been mostly normal approx 28 days but had started to shorten to about 21 for the two months before I was prescribed the clomid (fs thought the shorten cycle meant I wasn't ovulating).
So this past month (our last go before starting a full ivf cycle) I haven't had the clomid and have to wait until AF comes to start the ivf. Problem is, AF was due (if 28 day cycle) on Friday last week and she still hasn't showed. I did a pg test on Sat morning which was bfn and then did one again yesterday morning still bfn.
Would there be any other reason why AF is staying away? According to mb I did ovulate right around cd14 and since then I have been getting quite a bit of cm.
I am going to ring fs tomorrow morning to see what she thinks but would appreciate any advice or thoughts if anyone has any idea what might be going on? If I am not pg then I want af to come so I can start my ivf cycle.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TREELO TOO - NEARLY FORGOT - HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A GREAT DAY!

Thanks Mumstar and everyone else for the congrats....
Treelo: I agree lets hope theres lots more BFP's on the way!
Beaksie: I know I know I couldn't wait hahaha the symptoms were too obvious I had my hair done yesterday and my hairdresser said "OMG your scalp is glowing bright red again just like when you were pg" so I thought that's it off to wooolies for a test! I am 11 or 12 DPO last time it didn't show up till day 13 and it was really really faint.....this was quick and definate so all I need now is m/s to put my mind at ease (NEVER ever thought i would say that hahaha).
I really hope we are in a run of BFP's and look forward to seeing more announcements!

Woo-hoo Dawneee! That's fantastic! A little R&R (and sky diving) must have done the trick! How wonderful. Please may I join you? Please, please, pretty please!?! Five more days till AF is due for me. It seems endless!

Treelo-- hope you had a good b-day despite Lawson's accident. Hope the little guy is doing okay too.

Timnik-- what did the FS say? Zionsmom-- any luck for you? Six months does seem like a long time. Maybe time for a visit to the doc for some blood work?

Hi mammal, thanks for asking after me. AF arrived today! I am relieved about her coming for once. Now I can start the IVF, and hopefully it will give me the longed for bub we so want.

Timnik, great news on starting IVF! I found that even though I was relieved to be finally starting, it was also a very depressing time as well. It was the final nail in the coffin of the idea that we could conceive naturally - very strong emotions at the time. I wish you all the best with it - and hope like mad that you don't follow me into the "worst case scenario" group. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong for me, but we seem to have it all under control now.

Hi everybody! Just a quick post from me to touch base. Hope you're all great.
Not much happening with me at the moment, still in the dreaded TWW. How boring! Finally got myself a ticker and joined as a platinum yesterday. So proud of my ticker, for a technophobe like me it was a major achievement working it all out. Only prob now, I wonder if it will make me even more obsessive, with a constant countdown everytime I post? Will see.
Hi to Treelo (rather traumatic couple of days in your house!), Butterfly Warrior, Satya, Dawnee, Starrysky and everyone else. Take it easy...

Just popping in before bed and what do i see? Super bubby news from Miss Dawnee!!!!! (yes, it's meant to rhyme... thought it was rather clever myself hehe). Congrats Dawneee! Hope you can spread some baby dust to all of us.

I am starting acupuncture for infertility 2moro - excited but also a bit nervous about where they will stick the pins!!! (hehe). Have stopped the vitex as well so my body can get back to 'normal' (whatever that is!) before we see a fertility specialist in 3 weeks time.

Big hugs to everyone and wishing you all (and me!) a BPF very soon! Nighty night.

LSB, I've been having acupuncture since June of last year. You hardly feel the pins when they go in (although you do get the odd spot that hurts a little!), from my experience they will focus on points in your legs, feet, and your belly. They're the ones I get most often, but have also had them in my hands, arms, face (for sinus problems, not infertility), the top of my head, chest and a new one for today - my shoulders. Ok, lets just say they could wind up anywhere, but legs and belly are the ones you'll get most of. Good luck with it, and good luck with the FS.
