I am wondering if anyone has made their own Christening Candles? I have looked around for someone else to make them but they are SOOO expensive and we really just can't afford to spent that kind of money on a candle. Our Church does provide us with a candle but I thought that having a personalised one would be nice
So has anyone made their own? If so.. please share tips and ideas
I got one personalised for Julia it was through a catholic Abbey called Jamberoo Abbey they make beautiful candles that can have names and or photos on them. Not sure if Im allowed to post the link. If you want to PM me and I will send you the link.
We are getting Lachlan christened in a few weeks and i have been looking around, I cant seem to find any information on how to make your own. I would love to put a photo on his candle.
Another alternative for craft clueless people like me, is to ask the Godparents to buy the candle as their gift. Our priest suggested this and the Godparents were grateful to be able to get something that would be appreciated (although they gave a gift of cash as well).
I made mine actually we were given a candle and told to decorate it in class. I am no arty farty crafty person but it ended up ok well no one laughed at it .
