Oh Michelle- I hope Jay does convince your DH for ttc3, cos it is hard when you know you want to and they don't seem to think the same.

Lani must be so gorgeous doing the shy thing, I can just imagine AWWW!

Yes kinder is the pits, it's like you are trapped, cos it's not long enough for some things but too long for other things. maybe you and I can organise somehting for a differnt day one Wednesday. I will email you about it another day soon. Maybe Lara would like to come too, I'm not sure where she lives though.

AND you would never guess what I have in my bag....a boost bar... I grabbed it today in the supermarket and as Arron isn't home tonight thought it would be nice to sit in bed and pig out. Arron had to take his machine to Morrabin tomorrow so rather thatn leave at 6am and go through peak hr he is staying at his cousins tonight, so I am alone, which I really don't like but...I am a big girl..can look after myself.

    Hello all!!
So busy and slack at the same time!!

Ryley has 6 teeth now and is walking around holding onto stuff- not very well just yet but still doing that. He is getting very cheeky and cute- i love the smiles with the little teeth- so adorable.
He is on solids- he loves avocado on toast. He sucks it all off!!

OMG Liam looks so much like Ryley!! Lol he has the cute two bottom teeth as well. They seem to do so much simultaneously.

I tried to catch up for April but you guys write too much.

Well done for your promotion Kylie!! Great work.

Anyway i will start writing personals on a regular basis later!!
I wish i had more time for here!! I am a qualified beauty therapist now and am at uni doing another degree in psychology.

    Yikes!!!
    Take Care all

Spiddle congrats on becoming master. You might need to explain to me what that is #-o , but congrats anyway!

Michelle, I would be upset to if Frank said no more. It took a little while for Frank to come around after we found out about the CF. But got to say I thought I would have some serious convincing, but luckly he's over it!

I live in Narre Warren South. But Wednesday is fine to meet up. I work Tuesday and Thursday.

Mooshie, how funny is Lani. I don't think I could tell the difference between microwaved food or not microwaved. I am finding it very difficult with the vege thing with Alana. Like, I gave her carrot last night , had a little but just not interested. So tried baby custard and gobbled it down. And I have no probs with fruit.

Pee Ryley is going so well. 6 Teeth!

Anyway I better go and get ready for work.

    hi there

here i am supposed to be doing housework i guess but jay is at kinder and lani is asleep so i am sitting eating a boost bar - didn't get to eat it last night but it was well worth waiting for lol.

lara - have you tried putting a little grated cheese mixed into alana's vegies. lani is very similar - can't get enough of fruits and custards but vegies well she will eat them - but as i discoverd only if reheated on stove and cheese mixed through lol

has anyone tried cruskits out on the littles - am not sure if i am giving this kind of stuff to early for lani (7mths) but she eats pear as a finger food and arrowroot bikkies so today i bought some cruskits i think they should be ok for her - also bought some baby yoghurt if she doesn't eat it jay will gobble it up lol.

pee - you sound very busy - ryley is growing up quickly isn't he do you feel a little bit sad that he is doing all this stuff early and hasn't seemed to be a baby for long - i know i do, although i remember with 1st dd i couldn't wait until she was walking and talking - then ds well he is 5 in a couple of weeks and i am just sooo sad i am happy for lani to stay little still lol soon she will be running off on play dates etc etc and i won't get a chance to sit down and have lots of cuddles only at bedtime - just me i guess i am a sucker for little bubbies.

oh speaking of jay - he has his 1st wobbly tooth omg not looking forward to it i hate teeth falling out makes me quiver lol. he smiled at me today and i thought hang on that bottom tooth looks crooked so i put my finger on it and it wobbled (very loose) so lani is getting teeth and jay is losing them lol. he is very proud told his kinder teacher he is getting his grown up teeth my little boy is growing up i am going to be a mess next year when he starts school - jay has been our rock since jessie died without him i can honestly say in those early months after losing jess i could have done something really silly but jay helped us through, he was only 2 but i still had to care for him and he was such a good little toddler i think he knew how sad we all were and he tried to make us smile again. so i will be one of those mums next year standing at the school gate with tears streaming down my face - i got all teary today over is bloody tooth lol and when he gets a certificate at swimming i tear up - i'm a shocker lol.

can't wait for the amazing race tonight i so hope kris and john win.

    have a good day

Mooshie good idea with the cheese. I had thought of that, but thought maybe Alana would have to have enzymes before eating it. She basically needs 1 capsule for every 6g of fat, but I guess it would be such a small amount that she wouldn't need it. I will give it a go tomorrow.

Jay sounds like a great little boy. I guess mummy is going to have to now play the role a the tooth fairy. How fun!

It has been quiet in here.

Question- When you feed solids, how long do you perservere with them eating it? 15, 20, 30 minutes? Alana doesn't always eat it quickly and just wondered should I keep trying for longer.

Anyway I hope everyone is well.

    HI all
Lara- I wouldn't bother for longer than 15 mins, they mustn't want it if they don't eat. Do you mean like when you introduce something new or just in general? I guess my answer is the same regardless.

We will have to work out a Wednesday in a few weeks time to meet up then. I met up with a girl who I originally met up with from here today, I visited her and her dd and had a great arvo.

Jemma is really tired too, sooking about watching a DVD and just being painful.

Pee-Ryley sounds like he is going along wonderfully, hope you do get to pop in here n=more often for a chat, seems you are totally flat out.

Michelle- Woohoo on Jays tooth, I think you and I are alot alike, cos I tear up at the most minor of things, like I will be telling someone about something one of my kids did/is doing and I get tears in my eyes. jay obviously has been wonderful throughout all the time since you lost Jessi, it's funny how kids do seem to know when they need to be there for you iykwim.
I too am an amazing race fan. Last episode next week, I was just so glad when victoria and john got booted, I couldn't stand them. I would like either Kris and Jon or Freddy and kendra to win, not rebecca and adam cos he's a woose.

Anyway got heaps to check out so will go now,
    have a great long weekend.

    hi thre guys

lara - same as michelle said re the solids thing. jess was a realllllllllly fussy eater (went to diaticians, eating so called specialists - you name it i did it lol) this was when she was a toddler but i will never forget a few bits of advice 1. was only allow 20mins max for a child to eat - if they are not eating or fussing just calmly take it away after 20mins and don't make a big issue this is mainly for toddlers i guess, but maybe just doing it from the start might alleviate any future problems. another great tip which is absolutely no reference to babies but may be helpful in the future especially with a fussy kid and that is to at the start of the day make up a "snack box" it can be a special lunch box in it you put what you want them to eat for snacks during the day ie sultanas, fruit, etc and put 2 yummy things that your child wants (my case biscuits) when they say they are hungry you can say well you snack box is in the pantry you can eat something from there needless to say they eat the yummy stuff first and then they have to eat the healthy stuff when nothing yummy is left - this is an amazing tool and works so well in our family.

michelle = i have had a bugger of a day to - kids fine but i am exhausted just watching them run and run at the park with there buddies but at least they had heaps of fresh air. did you see last night they are starting the next amazing race in only 2 wks can't wait - i wouldn't mind going in a race like that although wouldn't be with paul i reckon we would kill each other lol.

have a good night am going to check out the forums as the footy is on and i am bored, could go to bed but have to stay up till around 11 to give lani her bottle = fat chance paul would do it lol i do like doing it tho, she lookes so beautiful sleeping i could cuddle her for hours lol

    HI all,

I forgot to tell you that I picked up the photos and wouldn't you know, they had printed 8 poses, some black and white, some colour, and they were soooooo gorgeous. So I brought 7 poses $280 and the one I didn't think I would buiy he chucked in anyway, so I ended up with them all, I will scan them soon and let you know when they are on, they are absolutely beautiful photos, I felll in love with my kids all over again.

Arron is playing footy today and I am going to take the kids over as it is just across the rd, I will prob be stuck in the clubrooms but at least I won't be cleaning the house for the whole day.

My brother is having a bday party tonight, I am sort of annoyed as he seems to have a PARTY every year, and he said well he is 27 on the 27th of April so that's why! Go figure.

Better go and get organised, Jemma keeps undressing herself every five secs, and is again running around in the nude! GRRR! It's tiring not to mention the extra washing which I so don't need.

Michelle- I can't wait till the next one starts either, great that it is straight after, with no breaks in bt.

    Cheer Michelle

    hello

lovely day here today in melbourne isn't it.

jay had his first auskick - he loved it, and paul has decided to be a helper and he had a great time to, i had a few girlfriends there as well so was a real social get together - lani slept in the pram for 20mins then we came home and she slept for another 2hrs so that did her good lol. she has been up on all fours today rocking and trying to get her crawling happening down pat.

i also gave her baby yogurt today and she loved it - no reaction at all so great another thing i can give her that is nice and easy lol.

well i better go have the little 15mth old kiddie from next door over to play whilst his dad and paul are outside doing what men do best ie drink beer and listen to the footy lol. i don't really mind as it is good for paul to socialise a bit.

    have a good weekend

Thanks for the tips Mooshie. I just don't know whether to worry about her not eating veges or just let it be. I tried the cheese thing and she wouldn't have it. Then decided I would try canned vege, well didn't like that either. I'm hoping that once I add meat to her diet I can mix the vege in :smt102

Michelle glad the photos turned out well. I was luckly that when we got Alana's done my parents bought them all. Dad just scanned them all for me, so it was nice and cheap.

Weighed in at WW today, lost another kg, so altogether 22kgs. I was a little surprised that I lost this week as I couldn't stop going to the peanut butter jar #-o

I hate Saturday nights, there is nothing on TV. I think I will look around the forums and read my book. Bye!

    hi lara

i wouldn't worry to much re alana's eating - apparently the first 12mths the main source of nutrician is from there milk - solids is just a way of introducing them to new tastes.

i tried lani on baby yoghurt today - i think yoplait and well she gobbled it up - her little mouth was opening so fast lol.

i also did a really easy casserole thingy for lani

some diced lamb - cooked well
add chopped potato, carrot and celery - then cover with cold water and simmer until cooked and soft - then i put the bamix to it and lani loved it (am actually thinking of cooking it again but this time i will add extras after i have done hers - for us it tasted quite yummy)

don't stress re eating i really don't think it is worth the worry, i can tell you so many stories of the trouble i went through with jessie and her eating she was shocking right from a baby the only thing she ate as a bubs was banana or some heinz tomatoe and macroni puree - blahh, when she was older the only thing i really could get her to eat was cooked pasta (with nothing on top) and if i was lucky a lamb cutlet. i have never cooked seperate meals for my kids and they eat what we eat from memory from about 12mths of age (apart from anything spicy) although jay has had a try of a curry he is slowly getting a taste for it - he knows if he doesn't eat what is on his plate then thats it - i like for him to at least try everything and if he doesn't like it he doesn't get it again - so much less stress and meal times is actually quite nice.

on the food front jay has been eating apples all day to get this wobbly tooth out lol.

michelle - how are those piccies they sound really good are you going to put them up on your website - i let my website go as i don't have a digital and only relied on people who took photos with their digital and emailed them to me. one day i will get a new puter and digital camera (my puter is windows 95 so very very old and slow lol)

i am off to cruise the other forums then i may hit the sack.

    night night

Mooshie I think I will try Alana on the yoghurt aswell. She loves custard, so I would imagine she would like yoghurt. I just can't believe at 7 months Alana is already distinguishing between boring veges and yummy custard!LOL!

My girlfriend has an 18 month old and she held out some strawberry for her and another girlfriend held out chocolate, both saying her name (I know sounds terrible) and she looked at her mum, but run excitedly for chocolate. LOL!

I guess with Alana's diet of high sugar, fat, salt and calories, I shouldn't be to concerned with her choosing the custard over the vege.

Oh I hope Jay's tooth comes out soon! It will be when he least expects it , I bet.

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well.
My little baby is six months old now. Its gone so fast!! He's at such a cute stage now, he's all giggles and loves to play silly games. He's just starting to get into peek-a-boo and the poor cat hardly dares to come within reach now because if Yasin can reach him he grabs handfuls of skin and yanks at it.
We start swimming lessons at the end of the week and if his bath-time performances are anything to go by he's going to have a blast.
What is auskick? I'm assuming that it is an AFL for kids thing so please correct me if I'm wrong. I bought Yasin one of those 'my first socccer balls' a while ago and he's just started to kick at it if I sit him up and roll it at his feet, tooo cute. DH is convinced he's going to be the next Pele.

Lara, woohoo on the weight loss. I wish I could shift that last bit of fat but with my current lifestyle its not going to happen anytime soon.

    hi there girls

welcome dachlostar and yasin - 1/2 way to the big number 1 birthday hey - gees time goes sooooooooo quick. have been reading up on his progress in the other forums and he is doing great guns eh. and you what is up with af / your chart etc etc - are you still getting a bfn? i was due for af last saturday there is no way of being a bfp tho as let me just say dh and i aren't really communicating that way at the moment - his anti depressants are playing terrible havoc with his sex drive - oh well i won't complain just yet hehehe, i must say it has been nice to go to bed and sometimes not have to make up some lame excuse . hope you get the bfp you are waiting for.

also auskick yup an afl thing - basically they start at age 5 (although jay not 5 till 6th may - but got him in ) it goes for 1 1/2 hrs and they do ball skills etc etc and then have a little mini game at the end - i think it goes until they are about 10yrs old - when they are around 8 or 9yrs old they get to play on the big grounds at 1/2 time like the mcg or telstra dome - so cute - i just love watching all the kiddies running around in there footy jumpers having a blast - great for dh to as he has decided to be a helper and has joined in helping the kids with the different skills, so it is good for the both of them - and i get to sit on the sidelines and drink coffee and gossip with my girlfriends lol.

lani's cheeks are so red today and she is struggling in the poo dept at the moment so wouldn't be surprised if another tooth is on its way, jay still hasn't lost his but the one next to it is wobbly now, not as wobbly as the first one but its getting there, it is so funny cause both the 2 teeth that are wobbly are the same two teeth that lani has cut.

lani is waving now - she did it a few days ago i said wave nigh nigh to jay and she put her hand out and waved - thought it was a fluke but nup when i say wave she does and today at the shops a lady waved at her and she waved back toooo cute - she is attempting the clapping but hasn't quite mastered it, but gives hi 5's all around lol. gees the grow up so fast.

gotta go - number 1 son is asking for a drink, will have to raid the fridge.

    have a good day

    Hi everyone
I've been busy and tired, hope you are all well,

Welcome Dasch and Yasin- join the growing too fast club here! We are always crying that our babies are getting too big in here. How's the ttc going? I wouldn't worry about weight loss while you are ttc, plenty of time for that later.

lara- you must be feeling so good aobut yourself losing all that weight, How much to go?

Michelle- What a coincidence about the teeth, how funny!

Still haven't had time to get the pics on the website but everytime I look at them I am rapt all over again, they are so gorgeous.

better keep moving along. It is strange not having Jessica in our room, but she sometimes doesn't even cry, but it depends, I found she wakes when she is cold.

    See ya
    Michelle

Welcome Dachlostar! Its amazing how quickly time has gone.

Michelle I am stoked that I have lost this weight. I was horrified when I first weighed in and realised I had put on about 30kg. I have 5 more kg to go to get to WW goal weight, but I want to loose another 3kg after that. I have no desire to be a size 10 as I would have to work to hard to stay there!LOL! But a comfortable 12 would be fine.

I am checking out the other forums and then I'm off to the hairdressers!
