Aww Tanya! :hugs: for you. Sorry to hear about your rotten day yesterday. Lack of sleep wouldn't have helped the situation either. Hope you start feeling better soon! Have things improved between you and Wato?
Fi - it was good catching up with you all yesterday. Yay for Jenna getting some decent sleep last night!
Bec - it was good to have some one-on-one convo yesterday after lunch. Hope you are feeling a little better today Gabby says "Thanks for the cuddles!".
Nat - ewwww...spew! Sorry to hear that you have been sick (and dealing with sick!). Ouch @ Matthew's cut. Sounds horrendous! LOL @ him thinking that the injury looks wicked. Typical boys! Here's to an uneventful weekend for you!
I'm supposed to be at MG in half an hour but Gabby is still sleeping for her morning nap and I am still in my PJs. Ah well.. I can be late for once. I'm always early (at least I feel like I am always early) so it's my turn to be the one that rocks up late!
I went to a party-plan thing last night and left Neil with Gab and he did a mighty fine job. She didn't eat much of her veges but thoroughly enjoyed dessert apparently (she's just like her mother!). It was nice to get out of the house on my own tho! It's starting to get more and more frequent which is nice. In a couple of weeks, our MG is getting together for "afternoon drinks" at a new English pub in town - no babies! Should be good.
Hello all,
Today is a better day! No tears yet.
Fi: Hope Shanes meeting went well. Did Jenna eat dinner after the mamoth lunch effort?
Deb: Hope MG goes well at least it isn't at your house, but then again it would be better if Gab needed a sleep. Thanks for the laugh yesterday, I only realised when I got home that I chugged down 2 wines in about 20 minutes...very stressed.
Tanya: Hope you are feeling alittle better today.
Nat: I don't do the spew thing well, I hope the bug leaves soon.
Eliza is currently playing in the washing that I was suppose to iron oohh about 1 week ago. She has abit of a sniffle, infected by Nick and his constant snot sneezing and coughing routine.
Better go and do it as it was my no1 job for today.
Oh Deb loved the pics, Gabble is sooooo cuddley hehehe so am I no bones poking out here.
Oh and I finally added more pics to Eliza's site...excuse the one of the "knackered mother" in bed with Eliza, not a good hair day.
Better go Eliza is lost in the washing now as long as she screams I can hear her.
Have a great day
Bec
The photos are great, Bec! The Christening ones turned out really well! Gosh Eliza is a cutey - so photogenic! LOL @ her getting lost in the washing. Hope you managed to find her!
A bit of excitement here yesterday. I put Jenna in the laundry basket, sitting down, and she has learnt to pull herself up onto her feet!! She was SOOOO impressed with herself, and Shane and I have just looked at each other and said "D'OH!!" This baby is determined to be mobile!
The laundry basket was the perfect size for her, and it was good to get a grip with - perfect height and we weren't worried about her hitting her head.
Yep Bec - Jenna had dinner, we had to force the broccoli and cheese in her mouth, doing spoons of pumpkin in between. Not sure about the meeting. Will found out next week.
OMG, Fi! That is amazing that Jenna pulled herself up to her feet! She'll be walking by 9 months!
It is rather quiet in here!
Neil took Gabby and I to Elijah's 1st birthday today. It was good fun. It was great to catch up with a few people (and actually meet a few people for the first time!).
Gotta go and stick some photos on Gabby's site of her in the ball-pit.
Tanya - I do hope that everything is okay... glad to know you are all well.
Deb - the play centre was fun wasn't it?
Fi - a big yay for Jenna! Matty's crusing the furniture and gets so happy when he manages to stand, it's so funny and don't they look tiny when they do it?
Nat - what a night you had! I hope everyone is now well at your house and that gastro didn't hany around for too long.
I think Sunday's are mainly family days. Perhaps as our kids are getting older and more active we are finding that we need to spend more time with them? Quite possible.
Hi All.....Ella and I have had a very busy and exciting week. The grommets went in on Monday and she was so good. She responded really well to sound. Unfortunatley this only lasted until Saturday and the reactions have decreased. She won't even respond to her name. Dr says this is a bad sign, but wait until we see surgeon again.
Went to Paed on Wednesday. He changed her formula to soy and said no dairy at all. The eczema has cleared totally. Not a mark....nothing at all.
To top it all off she got tooth #3. Boy, has it ever been a busy week for us.
Am hoping to catch up on what has been going on in the last week, just as soon as my Angel goes to sleep.
Yay for Ellas eczema clearing up Angela!! That is great news, at least the poor thing wont be so itchy. As for the ears. Well thats bad news, hopefully the specialist will figure out the next plan of attack for you guys.
Nell - its hilarious watching her!! She is constantly doing it now, and is quite the little madam. Apparently when I was out teaching swiimming this arvo, Shane and jenna sat on the front lawn giving bozes of sultanas to all the kids trick or treating (can you tell I wont let junk food in the house?) and Jenna ate a carrot and some broccoli. And apparently she wanted to go home with them all.
If she keeps sleeping so badly, I might let one of them take her!!! I would love to have a full nights sleep again. She had such a good couple of months, and is back to being awful. Of course it doesn't help that she gets all snotty in the night.
Fi - How cute Jenna pulling herself up in the basket!
Ange - So glad Ella's eczema has cleared up. DS1 gets rather severe eczema and dairy is one thing with him that can set it off. Sorry to hear about the ears - hope you get some answers soon. Yeah!! for her 3rd tooth.
Tanya - Hope everything is okay.
We had another busy weekend - garage sales on Saturday morning and then up bright and early on Sunday to get Matthew down to Rosebud for the Arthurs Seat Challenge. Still waiting for them to update the website so we know where he came, but he was so happy with his time of 35:25 (we think) only 10 minutes behind the first runner. Not bad for his first run. Next up for him is the Olympic Dream in a fortnight.
Hi Angie - details removed, glad to see things are going well.
Nat - fantastic on Matthew's run, hope you made heaps at your garage sale
Fi - we didn't get one trick or treater. Bet we do later on though, I think we live in Babysville here atm. I hope Jenna is okay and that she sleeps well again soon.
Matthew has a shocking rash so off to the doc's tomorrow as I just don't know what to do. He is scratching at it, it must be eczmea so am trying all the creams everyone else has. See what the doc thinks too.
LOL on babysville Nell. This is a street with a few groups of kiddies, so I guess that is why.
Shane and jenna are in the pool at the moemnt. Its realyl hot here today (about 30 I spose?) So even though she is sick, it seems the right thing to do as she is just soooo hot in her cot.
Hi all..it is soooo hot
It is really past my bed time but I can't sleep, aircon makes it too cold and gives me the sniffles so I am pretending I am on a tropical island sipping my ice cold cordial..lol
Fi: Pool sounds nice....oh so nice. We are coming around for a pool party.
Nell: Hope you get the rash sorted out, the heat wouldn't be helping.
Deb: Where are you matey? Come out where ever you are.
That goes with everyone else..sometimes I think I must bore people away, starting to get a complex 8-[
Ang: Hope Ella is sleeping and eating today.
Tanya: Hope you are feeling better we all miss you!
Well what can I say Eliza is up on hands and knees rocking and wanting to get away, I am not promoting this behavour as it scares me as she can now get away from me.
Did I mention that it is hot fooooff
Oh Nicks home this week so I have to pretend that I do house work all day, that means no coffees or lunches with gf I am having withdrawals.
I have convienced him to actually feed Eliza dinner..yes tiny steps
Hope everyone else is sleeping in constant 19 degree weather
Bec
Hi girls,
Well Wato and I had a little talk and seem to have worked out our probs.... this was after pretending nothing had happened at all. So all is good here... thanks for your concern
Bec sounds like you have no choice about Eliza getting mobile... won't be long now
Sonds like a great idea to have Jenna in the pool Fi.... poor little thing.
They have opened up the pool here too... hte best thing about living here in summer is the pool and I will miss it when we move.
Nell, I hope your dr can sort out Matthews rash....
Violet is now a groover... always dancing... she is sooo funny. I had her naked last night standing against the couch she was googying, and wiggling her bum... she is such a duck!! A big bum!! I suppose she makes up for Emily's lack bum
Also she copies when you say "ahhh", she'll go, "ahhh"... etc etc... a great novitly for me and she clicks her tounge and thinks she is very funny...
Anyhoo... I will drop back in later.... this forum has been quiet the last month or so huh?
