hi everyone.
well it's a bit hard to do personals now that we're on a new thread... oh well.
dd's quite grumpy these days and i'm hoping once she crawls properly (as opposed to going a few 'steps' and then collapsing) she will be happy to get around exploring things. babyproofing is going to be HARD as ds is very fond of lego and tiny little plastic toys which tend to get scattered round the place. i think i'll also have to mop the kitchen floor a little more often, which i'm not looking forward to as it's one of my least favourite household tasks.
gave dd mashed banana (her first food) a couple of weeks ago but as soon as the spoon hit her mouth she vomited - luckily it was all captured on video so she can enjoy watching it when she's older. then she was sick with a hideous cold for a week and when i eventually tried to give her panadol she had the same response, vomiting when i put the syringe in her mouth. so on the weekend i tried rice cereal, which she accepted a tiny bit of, but since then she's had diarrhoea and i don't know if it's an allergic reaction to rice or a side-effect of the virus she's had... is there such thing as a rice allergy? our solids journey is not progressing too well so far!
i'm still exhausted and finding myself falling asleep sometimes when i feed dd, which would be great if i didn't have ds to look after too... i long for a decent stretch of sleep and can't help hoping every night that i might get it.
hope all you mums and bubs are doing well and - for those of you in melbourne - enjoying the holiday.
