    Hi!

    Long time no post!

Jen - Your place just sounds perfect being so close to the water! Wow! You'll have us all on your doorstep for a holiday soon! LOL! Yep - it's funny watching them run around the house and get tired! Dh said he doesn't want to get furniture for the room now - just wants the kids to be able to play in it! LOL - probably just as well as it will be some time before we can afford to furnish it! hehe.
In regards to swim nappies - me being the lazy person I am just used huggies disposable swim nappies...
Oh how funny...sorry, had to laugh out loud with the story of your dress going over your head - hehehe. I'm sure it wasn't funny for you at the time though...hehehehe.
Sorry to hear that Beau's having trouble with teething...
Gosh, I don't know how you do it without having a car! It must be so hard getting on buses etc

Mel - You'll cope just fine with 2! And Olivia will adjust as well! I really think it's easier when they're closer together from that perspective...I have a feeling I'll have more trouble with Louis now that he's going to be 3 (OMG!) than I will with Dylan - in some ways anyway...
Your welcome at our house anytime Mel!
Sorry to hear you've had trouble with Olivia sleeping...You must be super tired...we had a similiar thing with Dylan last week although didn't last the whole night! Remember the bubs are heading to 18m now so I'm sure it's time for some sort of developmental spurt!
In regards to juice...I don't generally give it - more of a special treat! He loves it though...I think diluted is ok as well...I think it ends up being more of a teeth issue if they have to much...constantly having sugar on the teeth is not good...

Kaz - LOL on room for the toys...I'm starting to get a bit nervous actually...was hoping they'd all fit nicely into the toy room but am thinking a trip to Ikea for some more storage is in order! LOL!
Yeah at laybying some xmas stuff - I'm getting so excited with xmas stuff coming into the shops!! (so are the kids - Dylan points and says Santa!) I'm not sure we'll be cashed up enough to go crazy this year - might have to add a few bits to our collection when they go on sale after xmas for next year! Being a ranch style house though now I'd love to get some lights up!
How cute of Pip to be sweeping under the bed! It's so cute when they help! Dylan likes setting the table and helping me in any other ways he can...

Kel - Sorry to hear your having trouble with Lily - I hope she's on the mend now - it can certainly be a juggle with the two of them needing you...thats great your mum was able to come over and give you a hand though!

Disgirl - Louis and Dylan are loving "cars" as well at the moment...we just got the dvd from bigpond movies and I'm not allowed to send it back yet (although santas bringing them a copy anyway!)
Yeah on having a great night out! Wow at your friend being due the same day - Cindy and I have our first bubs share a birthday and our second are 8 days apart but we're due only a day apart - very strange! LOL!
My boys love splashing water as well - I get them a little bucket outside with some paint brushes and let them "paint" the house or concrete...keeps them occupied for a while and no harm done!

LOL on all the fridge babies...Dylan doesn't bother with that but if I leave the pantry door open now he starts reorganising my cooking stuff shelf...I found a food colouring/food essence bottle on top of each jar I had just before...LOL! Maybe a bit OCD?? hehe.

Have just been busy trying to get organised (which I'm still not - LOL!) We're really enjoying the house though as are the boys!
We had a gorgeous day yesterday - the weather was beautiful so we had lunch outside and took the kids to the park and spent some nice time together...
Dylan is a little cheeky as per usual - he's starting to get really good at his colours - his favourite is purple and now he can say yellow...
Oh and I just realised a few days ago that Dylan has a molar through - LOL...didn't even notice...he's still only got 3 bottom teeth though - so he's up to 8 now...not sure why he's got a molar already and not his 4th bottom teeth but oh well...
They've been having lots of fun playing outside and exploring things!

For Kaz and Mel - I don't know if you're interested but I'm having a get together/Enjo party on Wed 29th Oct at 10.30am...Doesn't matter if you want anything or not but even just pop around for a play...Although Kaz - I assume you'll probably be working...the invitations there anyway!! Otherwise, perhaps we can organise another Monday catch up when your free and the kids can have a play here!

Ok...it's taken me all day to get this post done - and yes, I'm still in my pyjamas! Best got jump in the shower and get dressed - although I wonder now if I'd just get away with the day in pj's?? LOL! Chat later!

    Hey all,

Thanks for the juice info....Will persist on water, although every time Olivia goes to mums, mum does a fresh juice for her...apple celery and carrot. i went to the health nurse today. Another different one so had to explain everything AGAIN, now the lady thinks Olivias hips dont look right and wants me to go back to the orthopaed early.
Also we had another crap night last night, bed at 830, up at 11, up at 1130, awake at 230, in bed with us. Awake from 5am. I have had bug ger all sleep and am so tired and emotional. She now has 2 definate eye teeth and the bottom 2 pushing through. Mum has offered to take her overnight every monday until after the bubs is born, so that might be something to think about.

DH and I did our tax today and I have lost my group certificate. Desperately trying to find it, but cant. Olivia is so ****ey now due to lack of sleep, shes either hitting me or herself....

    ok better go

Big hugs Mel...I'm sure fresh juice would be good for Olivia when she has it...Bugger at having another opinion from the mchn...Hope her hips are ok...
Thats nice of your mum to offer to have her overnight! Might be worth it so you can get a good nights sleep!
Hope you find your group cert...there's nothing worse than losing something like that...

Dylans is going through a hitting stage as well...definitely developmental as Louis did the same thing at the same time age...takes lots of persistance and lots of no's to get them past it...we seem to be getting somewhere but yeah - when they're more tired/not feeling well they're more inclined to do it...

    Chat later...

Kris - darn, I'd love to come, I want more enjo! Might have to catch up with you before so I can place an order.

Mel - DH doesn't drink water, so thinks Pip won't either. So he gives juice in water - prolly about 20mls in a cup of water. Unless I don't pay attention! Then its more. Erk re the MCHN being new - good luck with the clinic.

Ladies - Maz is having a huge second-hand sale if you're interested in cloth nappies.

Us - well DH has had a few poos from hell (hehehe) and Pip's being a holy terror. Non-stop running! Sunday night DH put him to bed on the dot of 8pm and Pip didn't understand why he was in bed early .. wouldn't settle. Last night I played with him a bit and he wouldn't settle ... arghhhhhh.

    Have a great day all.

    Hi!

Mel - No worries - shall do! Will be great if you can come! Yeah on a better sleep last night! Nup...I'm still booked in at the Angliss - just hope this labour isn't a quick one or I'll be in trouble...have to get dh home from work and my mum over to watch the boys and they'll both be probably an hour + away from me and then another 30min to the hospital! I'm sure it won't happen that quick but it is a bit of a concern! LOL! Especially when you don't want to get everyone out for a false alarm - I'll have to be pretty sure! I was last time though so I'm sure it will all go smoothly! Was already getting painful bh last night 15min apart so pre-labour is really starting to kick in...At least we're settled now so it's not such a big deal...

Kaz - We're all mucked up here with daylight savings as well but in a postive way really! I didn't get the boys into bed until 8pm but Dylan slept in until 8am and Louis slept in til 9.30am! OMG! I do need to start winding it back to 7pm bedtime though...Dh and I were up to midnight so we need to sort ourselves out as well! LOL!
Hope Pip settled down for you soon with the time changes...
I wish you could come too - just ran out of weekends to hold it! Would be great to catch up another time though...

How's this? Was preparing dinner last night and Dylan sat down near me with a barrel of monkeys (game) for over an hour just putting them in and taking them out and playing whatever little game it was he'd made up! I couldn't believe it! Here I was thinking he had a shorter attention span....LOL! Was very nice and peaceful!
Cold here again in Melb...meant to warm up for the weekend though which will be great!

Better get some stuff done! Chat later

Well I'm back at work from a lovely extra long weekend

Kris, it's funny you mention that Dylan might be a little OCD - I often say that about Ben He lines all his toys (pegs, people, cars) up so that they are exactly in a line. Gets very frustrated if they aren't just right!
Ben's also really good with his colours too. Orange and yellow (wewwo) are the two he ALWAYS gets right, but blue (goo) and red (dead ) rate pretty highly too. I'm LOVING how he's learning so many words a day. He's just really fun to be around right now.

Mel, if you contact your employer, they should be able to get you a copy of your group certificate if you can't find it.
I don't give Ben juice. I tried the baby juices once, but he wasn't that fussed, so he just has water and milk.
When's your appointment with the hip specialist? Hope all is well with Olivia.

Kaz, we were really lucky with daylight saving. Ben didn't have a day nap yesterday so I put him to bed at 6:30. He fell straight asleep and slept until 5:30 this morning. I LOVE our blockout shutters - I think they help eliminate some of the daylight confusion.
Are Pip's poo's from teething? Ben's had some shockers lately too.

We've had a really good few days. I thoroughly enjoyed having four straight days at home with my little man and can't wait to be back on maternity leave! Ben has two new teeth, the eye tooth on the right hand side and the corresponding bottom tooth. The left hand ones are about to come through too. Hopefully that will be it for a while then! We're lucky because when Ben is teething, he sleeps an awful lot! On Saturday for example, he had a 4.5 hour nap and then slept for 11.5 hours that night!!!!

I'm only at work today and tomorrow and then I have another four day weekend - woohoo!
