Disgirl - Yep...just a chickenpox vacc...really hasn't bothered him either which is good!
LOL - I just have to be grateful we don't have too many dramas with him teething...I have never medicated either boys for teething...I think the fact that they get them so much later must mean they deal a bit better with it or something...
You poor thing not being able to sleep well...Hope you get in a good night tonight! Awww poor Ben crying when you leave him...

I booked tickets to see Carl Barron for dh and I next Tues - our last date before bubs arrives!! (hopefully!) Will be good to head out and have a laugh!

    Hey
Yay I'm glad that you have internet at home, a new computer would help Mel!!!! Hope bens ok and that you get some sleep. Trying to get comfy is a problem and then trying to get back to sleep is another thing.

Kris- yay a last date, sounds fun. Must do that too. We were going to go out for dinner last night but Olivia was so sick and she fell asleep on my belly. She slept with us from 10pm and woke at 9am. She was up at 3am though with a temp of 39.4...poor little tacker. She has a bad cough, now chesty and such a snotty nose. Hope the ABs work quick. Hope we dont get sick either.

    Got to have lunch

    Afternoon ladies!

Kris - so you think that Dylan's (and hence Pip) are old enough to appreciate puffing billy? I want to go on it!!!!

Mel - good you're feeling a bit better, bugger about the heartburn though. Cute crocs for her! I never think to ask Pip what he wants!

DG - erk on the GD test Good that you've got the rest of the week off to rest!

Jen - so you're enjoying the beach still? No more nekkid adventures for the neighbours?

    Von - cute ticker!!!

Me - well after the pg/baby expo we went to the sustainability expo and I was really BLEH at the end of it. My g/f came to stay with us on Sat night (her housemate was having a party and she wanted some peace) and I was that tired!!! Anyhows, on Sunday she helped me reorganise my kitchenette and stuff, and yesterday I was just exhausted. On the up side, she made DH look after Pip all Sunday! I mean, ALL SUNDAY! So Pip had porridge with fresh mango slices in it for brekky, as did my friend, DH and the dogs (all 4 - my friend brought her 2 across!) and then DH got Pip. So for morning tea, Pip had fruit (yay) and then lunch was um... more fruit!!!

    Hiya girls,

How are you all, good I hope!

We are doing well. I am t-i-r-e-d, but I think that's par for the course for the next 6months at least... Liam and Lily are doing well too. Lily is a little monster, nothing new there. Her new trick is to climb up the lounges to get out the sliding door when it's open. She climbs up the back of the lounge and drops down the back, I have the lounges up against the sliding doors when they are open so Lily can't get outside onto the balcony...well I used to do it for that reason! I guess I can't have the doors open anymore We haven't really done anything exciting, just the usual, playgroup, park, shops...yada yada. DH is home now for a few days, yay! Maybe I can have a nap today, I'm sooo tired. Lil is still waking a few times a night. I think her ears are sore again. We go back to the specialist next wk (I think). I don't know that the diet thing has worked, though in saying that she has been talking alot and has picked up alot of new words. So maybe she has improved? We'll find out soon.

Dis, I hope Ben's teeth are all through now and he's better. Teething sucks. I think Lil's 2yr old molars are trying to come through too. Her gums look a bit swollen and red.

Mel, Happy birthday!! I hope you had a great day! Sounds like it started off well Except for Livvy being sick of course. I hope she's feeling better today.

Kris, sounds like you had fun with the trains. I really need to start taking Lily to places with stuff like that. We just go to plain old parks, LOL!

Hi to everyone else I missed. If I've missed posts in between that's cause I started this post nearly 4hrs ago!! So sorry I missed you, I got side tracked...

Kristie-LOL of course I was late to drop Tash off at kinder I always am?.The only problem with 3 y.o kinder is that is for such a short time so by the time I get home form drop off then I just have time to do a quick clean and make a coffee but always run out of time to drink it?but hey I really should not complain?

Kazbah-oh no..i have had people look at my tummy and I am sure they are thinking am I pregnant or not lol?really need to start that diet that I have been saying I will since James was born..

Melissa-Happy birthday for yesterday ..Glad to hear you are feeling better?.Hope Olivia gets better soon?when they are sick it just seems sooo much more work

Disgirl-oh you just brought back all the memories of my GD test when I was preg with James the lady was such a b!tch she told me that I should not have brought dd with me and went on to give me a huge lecture about it grrr I was so angry and to top it off of course dd was a nightmare lol?.Why does Ben not like going to the inlaws?? I know that I would hate going to my inlaws lol but that is another story

Kel-so did you have to put Lily onto a special diet for her ears?

Us-Well last night James vomited all in his cot so of course that meant getting him up having to bath him and change the sheets and by the end of all that he was wide awake, so has been a very looong night. Thankfully he is all ok again today and would not know he was even sick last night so have no idea what caused it. I am thinking though it could have been that I tried diluting his formula with cows milk the last time I did that he was sick as well or the bottle was to warm also causes him to be sick?have to work tonight so better start thinking of what the kids are going to have for dinner?

    bye

    Hi!

Well, I've had a super lazy couple of days...today shouldn't be too bad either other than doing the food shopping. Dh has the next 4 days off as well which will be great!
We're so tired though...Dylan woke almost every hour last night which is doing my head in...He just wants a drink or a dummy but it's just too much - and knowing bubs will be making an arrival in the next few weeks just worries me! once or twice a night I can handle but not every hour!! Little bugger...I have no idea why...I think maybe we're getting up to him to quickly now that we've got the monitor in our room...??

Mel - Poor Olivia - I hope she's feeling better now...

Kaz - Hmmm well, I probably wouldn't have taken Dylan just on his own...it really was more for Louis...You could probably hold out another year or so for Pip...but then again - if you want to do then just go! The park was great and Dylan still really enjoyed it, but just probably would have enjoyed any day out with mum and dad iywkim?
It's a big day walking around expo's thats for sure - yeah at your dh having pip for the day and giving you a break! I'm hoping I get a day like that on the long weekend...

Kel - Bugger at being so tired - you sound well though! Sounds like you've been keeping busy!
I'm sure Lily loves the "plain old parks!" my kids rarely even get that at the moment other than weekends - and with our activities stopped we're home every day...starting to get a little tedious other than they have a lot more room to run around and they don't get so bored with the house!

Von - LOl at being late for kinder - I'm thinking when Louis starts next year I'll go and do the food shopping which is across the road and then I shouldn't be late - I can only imagine if I went home that I would be late back - LOL! I'm late for everything!
Poor James being sick...glad he is all better now - but I'm sure thats the last think you felt like doing in the middle of the night!

Hello from the windy water! Gee - zus its bad here! Its been like this for two days and I am over it - we dashed up to the park for a half hour when it was fine before and we both got saturated on the way home - it just comes out of nowhere here! Beau was crying because mum didint have the wet weather cover! Bad mummy bad mummy!

Mmm what else? Glad my marathon job in the city is over and I get the whole weekend with my boys - DH looked after B on Sat/Sun and Tues this week - and he was an "angel" for him - I complianed last night that B was a whinger all day (2nd day inside for him tho) and he says "Are you silly with him in the day? He likes that." Can you beleive that? Ahhh dude - I clean, wash and cook AND entertain/teach him - not just play indoor soccor and make faces all day like you! Hilarious! It peed me off tho!

Kris - You do heaps of activities with the boys! You are PG too you know! My GF went on a date with Carl Barron so I always bug her about it - she is so embarrased!
Von - Sorry James was sick - he seems to react the cows milk then huh?
Kaz -Yep still like it - cept when its windy like this - its so scary. No more flashes of very white bits tho! How do you get PIp to eat so much fruit?
Kel - Cheeky bugger with the couches - Beau hasnt got to excited with the climbing yet thankgod. Hope you enjoy your nap and Dh being home yay! Hope Lils ears improve.
Mel - Happy Birthday!!! Glad you got a bit spoilt! Sorry Olvia is sick and you didnt get your date! Hope her AB's kick in. DH is bringing home SATC movie so he can see it on the weekend finally (he secretly likes it too) and we are having yum aged t-bones for an inhouse date!!! Sad huh?
Dis - Oh I hear you on the not going back to sleep - you have an excuse but, I think its the bodies way of preparing for the new bub and disturbed sleep. Once you have a bub mums grow bat ears too and that doesnt help!
Ok I am going to watch some dumb tv and trawl ebay while the mans asleep.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, I did have a great day and am hoping to get my massage tomorrow and relieve my aching back!!!! Am also going to the pacific brands factory outlet in Cheltenham to get some cheap bras and baby clothes....maybe some shoes too!!!

Olivia is on the mend, still on ABs though. Shes been horrible at night and horrible during the day. She chucks major wobblies and sounds a lot like the girl screaming in the poltigist!!! (sp?) But when we are out, shes so cute to everyone!!!! So well behaved! Oh well. I have bad hay fever and my nose is running like a tap and they eyes are itchy. I would take some Polaramine, but it sends me to sleep...need to be awake for the moo. Oh and shes starting to join words...moo cow and her new one today after finding her soaking wet from the dogs water is......cheeky girl!!! Yes, very cheeky!!

Jen- yep I know what you mean about the DHs thinking thats all that needs to be done...oh the fairy comes in to cook and clean while we play...mmmmm.

Kristie...youre always on the go, makes me tired listening. I wish I had as much energy. Not long for you now.

Kel- I hope you got your nap. Lil sounds like Olivia, so it scares me!!! Liam is already 2 months old...wheres the time gone?

Von- hope James is feeling much better. We had chuck last week...blah! Theres not much time to do much in between 3 year old kinder...I would be late too.

Kaz- fruit is great. How did you enjoy the expo??? I got one of those back pack/leashes for Olivia and we walked the expo...simply coz she wouldnt stay in the pram and I was on my own!!

Ok, hope I havent missed anyone, but am going to go and thinking about pulling out an icecream from the freezer!!!!!!

Jen - we're just lucky that he likes fruit! He didn't like strawberries for a while, until we were at the supermarket and they were doing "tastings" of the Qld strawbs and choc dipping sauce ... I had some and he didn't, then I'd 'marinate' the cut strawbs in icing sugar to make them sweet ... cut back on the icing sugar and now he has them straight. Mangoes took a while to get used to too .. I put slices into the porridge to sweeten it without sugar ... he loves his nanas ... but he doesn't like meat! He won't eat it sometimes, so fruit is a godsend.

Mel - very busy! I wanted one of those leashes, didn't see them. I did get some AI2s (itty bitty d'lish) and some PUL BB covers and a "little squirt" to rinse the poo off nappies.

Von - erk, what a horrid night for you. I'm lucky we haven't had that yet ... I'm lucky that our CC organises the 3yr-old-kinder if we go to the kinder next door ...

Jen - ya gotta love it, all the men do is mind the baby, nothing else, and they think its a breeze!!!!!

Us - well today I took Pip on his first shopping centre ride, very exciting!!!! I think he was terrified, but I was excited! We also got our CC photos back, we bought the entire set + a spare set for my mum & dad and some photos for his aunt & uncle.

Anyhows, time to look at a few more posts before my bedtime. Isn't it strange - I had the fire going yesterday, and today its quite warm!

    Hello ladies,

Von, yep, we had to go dairy free for Lily's ears apparently there is a small percentage of children who react to dairy, getting bad ears. The ENT specialist said to try it first cause it's non invasive, and if it doesn't work then she has to have grommets put in. He said that he thinks she'll need grommets though cause her ears are pretty bad. We go back on the 30th I think!

Kris, I'm glad to hear you're having some lazy days. Don't feel bad for not doing much with the boys, you're heavily pg, I don't expect you'd have all that much energy. I didn't and didn't do much with Lily at that stage in my pg either, she's no worse off for it!
I hoep Dylans sleeping better. I can sympathise with you getting so little sleep.

Jen, LOL @ getting caught in the rain. You'll have to get him a rain coat and boots so he can jump in the puddles .

Mel, glad you had a good bday. Now you can go forth a shop!!! Lucky you, I haven't brought any nice things for myself for AAAAGGGEEEEESSSS! But you need money to buy stuff.... Enjoy your massage too, how lovely.
I hope Olivia is feeling better. I hear you on her being nice when out and nasty when home, so is Lil. Everyone is telling me how cute she is and lovely and how beautiful, but OMG at home she's a little devil. Yeah it can be full on with her being so monstrous, but I have stopped stressing so much. If I kept on telling her no that would be all she hears all day. I just move her away and try to distract her. If I'm feeding then I do it when Liam's finished and I can get to her. It was hard for me the first month or so, but now things have really settled and if I go out a few times a week I feel better for it, even if it's just to mums. You'll be fine but I know how scary it is.

Kaz, LOL @ pip's first ride. Lily had hers a few weeks ago. She loved it! Now I can't walk past one without her pointing and babbling about it.

Well, we have had a lovely day, we went to Mt Annan Botanic gardens. It was really nice. A beautiful day, not too hot or cold. Lily had an absolute ball running around in all the free space, and there was a lovely little playground for her to play in. She had a great time with some other kids chasing her and slimbing on stuff she's allowed to climb on, LOL. Liam was really good and just slept most of the time.
Ok gotta go, hope everyone has a great weekend.

    Hi!

I'm sooo sleepy! Did the food shopping, which thankfully I was able to do on my own today cos dh is home, but Dylan was in my bed last night and has come down with something...he had a high temp last night and dh gave him panadol and then brought him in and he tossed and turned all night (dh slept on the couch!) Not sure if maybe it's a reaction to his needles on Monday?? He's super grumpy and clingy today though although does seem to have perked up a bit this afternoon...I accidentally fell asleep reading my who trash magazine tonight and dh was watching a movie so when I woke up from the kids climbing all over me it was 6.20pm! Whoops! Needless to say it was a quick pasta for dinner and off to bed...Dylans already woken up about 4 times though...it's going to be a looonnnggg night...

JenSam - Bugger about the bad weather! LOL at dh...they just don't get it sometimes do they?? Ha at your friend going on a date with Carl Barron - what a crack up - I wonder what he'd be like in that situation?? He's such a funny fellow!

Mel - hope you had a great massage and shopping trip! Woohoo! Glad to hear Olivias on the mend - yeah at her words - especially considering she hasn't been well!
Ooh I've been on the icecream lately as well - I had a big bowl last night and am thinking I might have some again tonight - why not?? I've only put on about 9 kg with this p/g so I don't care! LOL! Although in saying that my tummy's bigger because I have new stretchmarks - how on earth can you get even more 3rd time around??? Gosh...they're so awful...might need a tummy tuck one day...LOL!

Kaz - My boys love fruit as well - they would eat it all day...Louis doesn't like fresh pineapple much but otherwise I think they pretty much eat everything! LOL!
Louis won't eat meat either although Dylan eats a bit...Louis says now he doesn't like it but I think he see's that I don't eat it (I'm vegetarian) so who knows...He does eat things like chicken nuggets and sausage rolls though - things were he doesn't really know it's meat as such - LOL...although it's mostly unhealthy stuff so he doesn't get much of it!
Yeah at gorgeous photos! LOL at the first shopping ride - my boys have been on a couple and love it but I rarely pay for it!! Most of the time they're just happy to climb on it and sit there! hehe.

Kel - Good luck having your appt for Lily...
I really have no energy at all at the moment...or I go through bursts of it and then need a day or two of nothing - LOL!
Yeah at having such a gorgeous day today! We're hoping to do something altogether on Sunday...

Well, I'm off to try and get an early night I think...I've got a wedding to go to tomorrow which is outdoors and is meant to be 30 degrees here in melb so I think I'm going to be buggered. Dh is only coming to the ceremony with me as he's got his school reunion in the evening so I'm staying at my brothers and SIL house rather than come home on my own. They're having the kids as well so I'll be sharing a double bed with the boys! LOL - So I'm definitely sure their will be no sleep tomorrow night either!
Hope you all have a great weekend!

    Chat later!

Wow no wonder its so quiet in here...everyone off enjoying the sunshine! Such a gorgeous weekend - everything is going well here - went to the local markets and did food shopping today and Beau was utterly surprisingly well behaved and quite chatty and cute overall! Good outing - of course then you come home to the bombsite weekend house and have to put all the groceries away!!!
Just demolished an anti pasto plate and several glasses of wine (sorry Kel, Dis, Mel and Kris) and waiting for B to wake up so we can go play in the water....hope everyone is well! Mmm ovulating so DH was a happy boy last night he he he he he he he he he he

Hi girls! Enjoyed another five days at home with Ben, but am now back at work. Maximum of five weeks left though (still have over two weeks of sick leave so I'm hoping to get a drs cert for the last two!!!), so it's not too bad.

Oh Jen, how did you know I've been wanting wine? I've decided to wait until Chrissy celebrations and have half a glass at those functions. We went out for our anniversary last Friday (sad to say it's the first time DH and I have been out to dinner alone since Ben was born!!!!) and I really wanted a glass, but there are still some developmental things going on with Twobob so I don't want to risk it.
Want us to keep our fingers crossed for you for the next two weeks?

Kris, did you have a good time at the wedding? Get any sleep? Is Dylan still waking or was it just a one-night thing? We figured that Ben's problem wasn't teething (all four eye teeth are now through!) it was separation anxiety and going to the in-laws rather than my mum's. He's still a bit sooky with me at the moment, wanting 'mamma' all the time, but he's a bit better - and sleeping through again!

Kel, Friday would have been lovely out at the gardens. We were supposed to have had Ben's first birthday party there, but the weather didn't co-operate. It's funny (or not) I was just finishing telling DH how Lil is such a little monkey climbing on everything and how Ben doesn't seem that interested in climbing....and he climbed up on the washing detergent box! Talk about jinxing myself!!!!

Kaz, glad you got some good pics from CC. I SO need to buy a little squirt. I was going to buy one from BBH a few weeks ago but they were sold out. Keep meaning to go to Mothers' Direct and order one but never get around to it. Do they save heaps of hassle?
You're so lucky with the fruit. Ben's allergic to my favourite fruits! Strawberries and mangoes are out and I've been told that Kiwi and Pineapple are somehow related to them so not to try them on him for another year He likes apples, oranges, bananas and apricots though so all is not lost.

Mel, hahaha, cheeky girl indeed!!! If anybody comes up with a way to keep them out of the dogs water bowl, please let me know! Drives me nuts!

Von, hope James is doing better. We've only had the vomitting when Ben's eaten something he's been allergic too and it's just horrible. They're too little to understand what's happening and they look at you with those 'help me mummy' eyes Hopefully all is well now.

We've had a good couple of days. After a horror run with night-wakings, he finally settled on Saturday night which was good because I got a migraine and DH was out at his soccer presentation (Yay, yet ANOTHER Best and Fairest trophy to gather dust ) He didn't go to bed until late, but slept right through. Then last night he had another good night, back to sleeping for 10 hours - phew! We're really thinking it was just separation anxiety because we messed with his routine and he was with unfamiliar carers. All good now though as mum and dad are back. He missed his Nannan and Pop so much! They got the biggest kisses and cuddles when he saw them for the first time You would have thought they'd been away for a year.

It's HOT here today. The building's ac is shot, but luckily I have a little fan on. Otherwise I'd be storming off talking about unsafe workplaces They are a bit scared I'm going to call in sick for the entire next five weeks and leave them all up in the air - they would probably let me go home today if it meant I'll be back

Kristie-James went through a stage where he was waking every hour and the only way I could get him back to sleep was to give him a bottle?.it was hell for about a month but he finally got over it..so hoping the same happens for you?lol about being late I have gone shopping just so I would not be late to pick up Natasha and guess what that made me even later?

Jen-oh no I always stress about getting caught in the rain but still never bring the rain cover with me lol?The funny thing with.James is that he is fine with yoghurt and has a banana smoothie everyday that is made with cows milk so it just seems like plane cows milk does something to him?STRANGE

Melissa-Hope you got your massage the other day?

Kaz-Oh I just hate getting photos done because I end up buying all of them and more as well, which ends up costing me a fortune lol.

Kel-OMG that is amazing that Lily?s ears are effected by milk, when I was young I had the same thing it took them ages to realize though and by the time they did I was about 4 and was actually beginning to loose my hair..yep all because of milk it took the speacialist who created the bionic ear to discover my problem..so there you go?glad Lily did not have to wait as long as me?Have you found it?s helping cutting out the milk?

Dis-yes those eyes are what make me feel so helpless I just hate seeing him like that?

Us-well James is all better have to go to the dr?s in a few hours for him to get his needles I think it is just the chicken pox vaccine? He was had a really strange cough only at night sounds like a croup like cough so will have to get the dr to check that out, of course the coughing wakes him up during the night and of course me..so am very tired and grumpy at the moment

Just a quick message Von and Mel, the chickenpox vaccine was easy-peasy compared to the three at 12 months! Ben made a noise for all of two seconds! The receptionist at the docs couldn't even believe he'd had it done because he was over it in no time. Apparantly it just goes under the skin as opposed to the others that have to go into the muscle. Makes it much easier to handle

    Hi girls,

Kris, we/ve had a few really long nights here too. Lily has a cold with fevers. I can't believe she's sick again! Every time we go somewhere with lots of kids she gets sick!
I need to get Lils immunisations done too. I was going to do it tomorrow, but I won't while she's sick. Liam is getting his tomorrow though, eeek! I hate them having the needles when they're so young, I mean I hate Lil getting hers too, but when they're so little it's kinda different...

Jen, *drrrooollll*...I want a wine....I'm coming to your house when I can drink again you always seem to have something in your fridge!
Are you guys ttc now, or just going with the flow?? How exciting for you anyway!

Dis, LOL @ Ben climbing after you mentioned Lil, hehe!! Lily truely is a monkey, she must have been one in a former life. She can climb out of the bath now... another thing to worry about!
Glad to hear he's settled for you now that nanan is home. LOL that's what Lily calls my mum, she luuuurrrrvvves her nanan too. Every time the phone rings it's always nanan according to Lil. And when we go in the car she says 'Go...car...nanan...Bel' (Bella is mum's dog, LOL) no matter where we're going.

Von, wow @ losing your hair and being so much older when you were diagnosed with bad ears! It is hard to diagnose though. Even the ENT said I was good for realising there was a problem so early. He said its pretty rare that parents pick it up so early. I think it's probably cause I'm an early childhood teacher and I've seen the symptoms alot in other people's children. I think I'm always worried that there's something wrong with her, and looking out for problems!!

Mel, your massage sounds lovely, I'm jealous!

Well, we are plodding along, though Lil is sick again and I haven't slept much in the last three days. Naturally DH is on night shift too. Liam is still waking every 3 hrs for a feed and with Lil waking 3-4 or more times a night, I'm not getting much rest. I'm at the end of my tether tonight and I am sooo glad DH is off tomorrow. At least I can have a rest in the arvo after he sleeps! Lily is in the foulest of foul moods and we have not been happy campers!!
I have been thinking of going back to work. There is a 3hr position available, though it's not as a teacher, it's a helpers position which woul mean less pay per hour and les responsibility, a bit of a no brainer job. The responsibility part is good but the pay sucks. Though I will still get some money from centre link. But it's enough for us at the momnet, and probably til the kids go to school. I'll probably get as much in this position as I would as a teacher full time with the two kids in long day care, so its better in that respect. And mum will look after the kids for three hours a few times a week, with DH doing it the days he's home. And if we can afford it maybe one day in family day care or occaisional care for Lily.
Anyway, Liam is getting really unsettled have to go. Hope you're all well
