Mel- yep am finding this a bit harder...especially with a toddler. Also a lot more pressure down there, I agree with Kel- maybe not enough time for the body to heal between pregnancies. Rest up.
Kel- big hugs to you. You lot have been sick lately, I hope everyone clears up soon. And I hope the whole sleep settles down and you can get some.
Kris- Olivia was fine with the newborn. I think coz it moved and made noises, not like her dolls which she pokes and prods!!! I didnt get any pains.... Glad the boys are sleeping better. You and your retail therapy!!!! Make sure you rest up. Hows the new place going anyway??? Are you enjoying it? And how is it being in a totally different area?
Hey Jen and Von and anyone else I missed
We finally have the cameras packed. Last night we did belly shots in the same position as we did with Olivia and the same pants....different top though. I am a little bigger, but a lot lower. Getting up to the toilet a bit more at night. I think that pain i have been getting is a combination of nerve pain and full bladder!!! My nipples are starting to have burning sensation and are leaking a little...other than that...nothing! Off to our neices 4th birthday party today,
Mel, thats great Olivia was good! I'm sure she's very excited! The boys saw a newborn the other day and while Dylans not that fussed - Just knows its a bubba - Louis is quite intrigued..I think he'll enjoy it more this time and like helping me out! He already keeps saying how he's going to teach him to walk! So cute...
Yeah, the new place is great! We are loving it! and I've coped with the move a lot better than I thought...getting used to being in a new place and really, haven't noticed any change from what I originally saw friends/family! It's just a bit of a bigger drive now but no big deal. Not sure if I'll feel it more when bubs arrives though...Should be fine though...
I think we'll end up regretting the retail therapy...probably should be more worried about having some savings in the bank but Michael and I are hopeless with that...we're both the youngest in our families so I think we're both a bit irresponsible when it comes to money - LOL! In saying that we are paying a little extra off our mortgage so that feels like compulsory saving anyway...
Gosh...I've always been so bad with belly shots...I think there's a couple of me a couple of days before I had Dylan and one of me about 20w p/g with Louis...so haven't been organised that way...at least there's lots of the kids - LOL! Good on you though - would be great to compare! I'll have to get dh to take one...
Bugger at the pains...maybe it's your pelvic floor muscles?? I was told that if they're weaker they don't cope as well with the weight of bubs by the end...I'm getting up about once a night to go to the toilet as well...
Have fun today!
We need to do some food shopping - we have nothing and haven't been in nearly 2 weeks! I assume the supermarkets are open? I always get confused with cup day as to whats open and closed...
Thanks for the feedback on 2nd/3rd pregnancies girls I'm feeling a bit better today after a day off yesterday and lunch with my mother's group - yep, I was too sick for work I even had a glass of wine which I thoroughly, THOROUGHLY enjoyed!
Kel, I'm sorry you guys are all sick again Just when sleep was starting to come a bit easier for Lil too
Kris, I am more unfit this pg then I was with Ben. With Ben I'd been playing A-grade soccer until just before I got pg, with this bub I was a wee bit overweight with NO exercise happening. I'm sure that has made a difference.
Good on ya with the spending! DH and I just bought a Wii for ourselves for Chrissy and we're about to buy a new computer and lawn mower. Nothing exciting, but nearly $3000 worth of stuff. Geez, sounds like too much money to spend now that I've added it all up!!! And not good to run out and spend all that when I'm about to go on half-pay
Mel, I'm a shocker with belly shots. I actually don't like bare preggo bellies, they kinda gross me out I refused to have any bare shots taken with Ben, but still got some with clothes on. This time I don't think I've taken a single photo!!!! Should probably do that. I'm pretty sure I'm bigger earlier this time, although I'm still pretty small for 29 weeks.
Urgh, I'm over today already and it's not even 10am! I've decided to spread out my sick leave over the next few weeks and maybe take the whole last week off. I'm finding one day at work really wipes me out - it's more the running around to get here than anything else.
Ben is a little echo at the moment. Over the weekend he came up with some new words including "Mickey", "Minnie" and "Disney" Gee, he's not his mother's son at all Last night at dinner he repeated "BUGGER!" back at me. Oh dear!!!!
LOL, Mel, Lil said 'crap' to DH the other day, after I have been trying to get him to stop swearing . I keep telling him monkey see, monkey do...I think he believes me now!
lol thats so funny..i must remember to tone it down too.
Mid appointment went well, not seeing her for another 2 weeks. Bubs is engaged and I am ready to go anytime from NOW. Am getting cramps in my hips and legs.
Ok am at my dads and Olivia is pulling things apart
How exciting Mel!!! Well, hopefully anyway. Just two more days until you are 'full term' and bub won't be required to go into NICU - do they still do that if they come before 37 wks? Even if they're healthy?
I can't believe you and Kris are 'there' already! I'm a bit jealous, but I'm not entirely ready yet mentally and nowhere near ready practically - with bedrooms and stuff sorted. Of course Twobob still has quite a way to go yet!
Disgirl - Good for you having the day off yesterday and enjoying some time out! Yeah at getting yourself some pressies as well! Yeah...it's not good when you actually start adding the purchases up...best not to think about it really! LOL!
Yeah at Bens new words! Dylans coming out with new stuff everyday as well! No naughty words just yet though...I think they watch too many tv shows/movies though as most of his words now are characters - dora, diego, boots, and then from ice age manny, elly and diego...gosh..what an awful mum I am...LOL!
With babies in nicu I'm not sure but I know with Louis if he was under 2.5kg he would have had to go in even though he was born at 38w...Luckily he was 2.67 so was ok...
Kel - Oh no at Olivia saying crap...we only had one stage where Louis said s**t for a while and then we didn't make a fuss so he stopped luckily...I'm hoping to avoid it with Dylan as well!
Mel - Wow at being engaged already!! I hope bubs arrives soonish since your having so many aches and pains...
As for me...just had my new housecleaner out to look at the house - she's going to start next Thursday - woohoo! Such a luxury but I think I deserve it - LOL!!!!
I had pains all day yesterday and am achy today rather than full painful bh...I'm just hoping all the pre-labour means a nice straightforward labour soonish...it's always strange at this end of p/g cos you just have no idea when it's all going to happen!!! I'm getting excited to meet my new little man though...and a bit anxious as well as I know how much work it's going to be - LOL!
Kris, yay for you getting a house-cleaner! I've often dreamt of having one - maybe after #3 is here we'll splurge for at least a while. Did you find him/her on recommendations? Just curious since I REALLY would love to do it one day
Yeah...Cindy met her through a tupperware party I think and passed on her details to me! She seems really nice so we'll see how it all goes! I'm paying her cash in hand $60 for 3 hours just once a f/n at this stage...
Well while i convienced dh to help me clean the house on Sunday and he was scrubbing toilets and I was cleaning the bath, I said to him how terrible I am with dusting and doing things like the bathroom and mirrors. He agreed it was a yucky job and would definately consider a house cleaner.....let me know how she goes kris and I might have to get her number off you...Oh yay. The other thing I am bad at is getting the satins out of Olivias clothes....mum says soak them in borax....I use nappy san but it just doesnt work. Any tips. Shes got some really nice clothes with some really bad grotty stains.... actually might be good reason to go do some clothes shopping!!!!
Mel- 11 weeks aint far away!!! Gosh I cant believe how quick its gone. I remember it wasnt long ago Kel broke her news....then Kris, me then you!!!! Jen....where are you!!!! lol Have fun sorting out bedrooms and clothes.
Well we have Olivias hip appointment in the morning. I had her xray done and she cried her little eyes out coz I had to leave the room and 2 strangers were holding her down. THankfully it didnt take too long.
I'm so tired but cant go to sleep coz I have to wake her up...chat soon
Mel - Yeah at dh thinking it would be a great idea - thats usually half the battle! LOL! Oh yeah...the boys have stains too...nothing too bad but it's always the tomato saucey/red food stains that I have trouble with...
Good luck with Olivias appt tomorrow! That must have been awful when she was having the xray..poor little thing...
Haven't heard from Jen or Kaz for a while - Hope you guys are well!
Nothing much from me today other than they've delivered my book order to my old address after I updated the details with them...not happy! It was about $280 worth of books that people had ordered from me...grrr...I hope they're at the old house...although it's not my error so
TL should cover it I suppose...it's a bugger all the same though...never mind...
Ooh and I've made yummy choc chip banana muffins...yum....!
Oh yum Kris, I want a muffin!!!
Bugger about the books. I hate it when people stuff up like that. Hopefully you can track them down, but you shouldn't have to. What a pain.
Mel, poor Liv It must have been hard for both of you during the xray When do you get the results?
I'm at home today and tomorrow. Twobob is sitting on a nerve in my back and the doc gave me two days off! Woohoo, now I only have three weeks left and still have about two weeks of sick leave. This could be good The best part is, my back isn't even that bad anymore and I had a lovely 2hr nap this afternoon. Ben's still sleeping (going on 4 hrs!) so I guess I'd better wake him up soon otherwise he'll be up all night. The poor little guy cracked it when it was time for me to go into the doc surgery. He was happily playing in the waiting room, but when we went to go into the surgery we had full-blown tears, head-shaking and "noooooo!" I guess that last needle is still fresh in his mind.
Mel, you say 11 weeks isn't that long and don't I know it! I still need to get EVERYTHING for this bub organised, I've done NOTHING. Not good considering I'm convinced I'm going to have him/her early!!!!
hey mel you should use your sick leave!!! Glad your back is better. Dont you love nnnoooooooo!!!! Olivia has a new one....mine, mine mine ......
Her appointment was fantastic, no more reviews, nothig to worry about....
ok we have a fall....no tears! omg
we just brought her the swing set to celebrate...it took Adam 3 hours to put together with loads of fs and cs coming out. Considering this guy is the most practical and handy guy out...it must have been tricky....
Disgirl - Yeah at having time off and that your back is feeling better! Wow at Ben having such a big sleep and you getting a big nap in - thats fantastic! I'm very jealous!! Hope he goes to sleep ok for you tonight...
Mel - Yeah at Olivia having a great appt! What a relief! Woohoo! Yeah at a new swing set! How fun! LOL at the swearing putting it together...I leave dh right alone anytime he has to put anything together now as he usually gets so frustrated...hehe...
Not much from me...had a pretty quiet day...tomorrow is going to be a big one visiting friends and doing some deliveries...but then have a quiet weekend coming up...Just waiting for Ethan to make his arrival now...hehe.
Oh and mum went around and luckily the people had the books - so that was super lucky!
Well, I've been busy the last couple 24 hours! Baby Ethan arrived with us last night - 7th Nov at 8.05pm - 7lb 3 and 49cm long! My waters broke yesterday morning and had meconium in them so headed to hospital where they wanted to induce me straight away...was quite disappointed but obviously needed to do what was best for bubs...So had the drip at 1.30pm and at 7pm was only 5cm dialated - I was ready to have an epidural but they gave me a morphine shot instead and then went on to fully dialate in 45min! So at 8pm I was very over it but I could push - he arrived 5min later! LOL! I was determined to have it over with!
Anyway...we're both well and home again already! He's a very sleepy boy at the moment but is feeding well when he wants it...
OMG congratulations Kris and a huge welcome to Ethan well done wow
