    Hey All,

We are doing well...I suppose!!! I have put Olivia down for a nap in her toddler bed and I can hear her..Hello, Mummy, Bibby, Dolly. Shes so not good at sleeping in that bed, except for last night, because she, like Dylan, didnt sleep yesterday at all. She seems to poo as well as soon as she goes for her nap...maybe its an excuse for her to stay up!!! Last night she was so tired, but I managed to keep her up til just after 7pm and she slept in her toddler bed all night. I dont want her to drop the arvo nap....its my time to sleep. I thought she would be tired today because we had mothers group here and the kids just kept going....mmmmm, i thought wrong!

Rebecca went well yesterday for her MCHN appointment. Shes now 4.5kg and 55.5cm long. She put on nearly 900gms in a month andgrew 4.5cms. Shes going pretty well, although I would like her to sleep through. I have been up since 530 and am knackered.

The girls will be sharing a room and my dillema is when to put them together. So thats why I have started the toddler bed full time with Olivia. As soon as she is out of it, then Rebecca will go in her cot. Hopefully by Olivias 2nd birthday!!!!

Anyway, hope you are all managing well in this heat...especially you Mel. Nothing worse than being very pregnant and hot!!!

    Take care all

Jen, it's funny you asked about milk today because Ben is up to his second 300ml bottle already. I don't worry too much about what he eats, he seems to know when he's been neglecting his fruit and vege and will ask for it then so it all seems good. He's bright eyed and bushy tailed and that's all you can hope for I think!

Mel, Wow on Becca's growth! I hear you on wanting to keep that daytime sleep. I hope Ben NEVER grows out of it!

Well, I'm a crazy pregnant woman...I've been playing Wii Sports It's so fun, but the bowling made me have cramps so I've decided to give it a rest for a while. Ben is so funny, he stands next to us as we're playing and swings his arms saying "Golf" regardless of what game we're playing He is the one who actually wanted us to turn it on today. He came out and asked for "tennis". Sometimes we wonder how he picks up on these words - it's not like we use them all the time!

    Hey All,
Mel - Glad Olvia is somewhat sleeping in her big bed....gibbering is better than screaming, always!
Dis - I know, how can you deny them fluids? Especially in this heat! Glad its a lot cooler today, you must be releived!
Us - havnt been doing a lot, just to the shops and the park etc, had two swims in the lake yesterday and went to the beach when DH came home...Beau and I have all these bites over our legs (and his arms and torso) - its not pelican itch, I think it might be from the grass???

Well we have had ashocking few days....with Olivia not sleeping during the day. Yesterday she fell asleep at 4pm then I woke her up at 5pm, which was fine, but we ended up putting her down at 9pm. I went into her room (all quiet) to get her bottle and there she was all bright eyed and thats where it started. I shut the door, walked out, she screamed and ther rest...was terrible. By 11pm she fell asleep in her cot after sobbing and me crying and DH angry and frustrated. Thankfully Rebecca slept from 830 til 330. So Olivia had her arvo nap today in her cot. She will be in there from now on until forever!!! Shes such a devil child sometimes. I was laying with her last night, she started playing games, then wanted to tickle me.....then wanted to tickle my boobs!!!! Then she wanted to pull out the cd player plugs....

Rebecca had her needles today, poor little mite. Shes so grizzly now. I cried of course!!!

Good luck Mel I see you have 6 days left.....

Jen- your place sounds devine. Ouch on the bites. Olivia has mossie bites that are huge.

Oh and AF arrived yesterday for me...yuck. I feel like crap. No wonder i'm teary!!!

Mel, you poor thing. Ben's started playing up at bedtime, but nothing like Liv. I think his has to do with how hot it's been. I'd say bugger the toddler bed too and leave her in the cot!
Ouch on Rebecca's needles, I sooooooo hate needle time that Craig has to come and hold Ben so I can turn away
Ben's allergic to bites - as we found out on Boxing Day when we spent the evening in the Emergency Department. He gets major swelling from mossies, and worse from other kinds of bites. We thought he'd been bitten by something scary on Boxing Day when his arm and hand went red and swelled up - turns out it was just an allergic reaction.
I hope I only have six days (or less!) left. Could be longer the way things are going, but then again I had no signs before my waters broke with Ben.
Yuk on AF. I've only had two AF's in the past 2.5 years and I don't miss them at all!

Jen....swimming in the lake would have been awesome yesterday. We just didn't venture outside. The change last night was absolutely delightful.

We're still here. I'm still pregnant, but I'm okay with it for now. I'm more worried about chewing up my maternity leave without a new baby than anything else. Yes I'm uncomfortable and in pain sometimes, but it's not all that bad. Ben's been getting to sleep a bit better the past few nights and his day sleeps are still 2.5+ hours so I get to rest then too. The past two days I've had what you would probably call my version of nesting.... ie. I got off the lounge and did a teeny smidge of cleaning and actually packed clothes in my hossy bag I think that's it though - I'm not the domestic type

My hormones are also in overdrive. Quite a few times in the past few days I've gotten teary just looking at Ben! Overwhelmed by how much I love him. I also told Craig that I don't want to leave him (Ben) while I go and have the baby Crazy pregnancy hormones!

LOL @ your hormones Dis. I was the same about leaving Lily when I had Liam too, on the day she stayed at mums I was sooo upset about it cause she'd never stayed anywhere other than home without me, and then when DH had her at home, I was fretting cause she was rejecting me when she came into see me . But she was ok when I got home. Ben will be too, I'm sure. But anyway, I know the feeling.

Mel, I hear ya on the sleeping (as usual!) Lily's are everywhere. I have no idea what's going on, surely it can't all be teeth! Today was really good though. Firstly she woke at 6.45, woohooo! She only had one day sleep and slept for 2 1/2hrs!! And went down to sleep tonight at 7pm without a peep! She's in between 1 and 2 day sleeps and if she wakes before 6am she needs 2 sleeps, but then that puts out her nights....it's driving me insane, I just want her to sort herself out! At night she's waking 2+ times a night. DH is being great and gets up to her for the nights if it's before 3am (he gets up at 5am for work) and I jsut deal with Liam. I know I'm a lucky girl! I think it's partly the heat, her room is like a sauna, but there's not much I can do...

We're good, except for the horrible heat the past few days!! But it's supposed to be HEAPS cooler tomorrow, so I can't wait for tomorrow, LOL!

Kel, thanks for the support re: the hormones, I feel like I'm too protective of Ben sometimes, but we've never been apart for a night and it worries me how he'll be. We have three plans depending on when I go into labour, and I'm hoping I'll be home within hours of the birth anyway.
The heat has been just awful hasn't it? Today seems so much nicer, I'm actually wearing my dressing gown right now!
Ben's getting some teeth too. He was actually lying in bed hitting himself on the head last night, must have had an awful headache He also just burst into tears yesterday while he was standing in the loungeroom and grabbed at his jaw. Poor baby. Of course it made me burst into tears as well. There is no sign of the buggers though so they are probably just all moving around and it's likely to be ages yet - grrrrrr.
I highly recommend 2.5hr day sleeps!

I'm feeling off today. Sore from playing Wii Boxing (I know, I'm nuts!). I am also tired and annoyed at my dad. He's taking my mum away for the weekend, even though I want her at the birth and I know she doesn't really want to go. I'll be devastated if she's not there, and since she's been at the birth of all but one of her grandchildren, I know she will be too. They are going about 3hrs away and dad said they'd return at the first sign but they are notorious for either not answering or not hearing their mobiles, so I'm not overly confident. I love Craig and he's wonderful, but mum was my main support at Ben's birth so I think I'd really miss her. They aren't coming back until Monday. Craig's a bit cross at him too, and he NEVER gets cross at ANYBODY!

Anyway, I feel a bit better after that whinge!
