Veygas had a mostly awake day today - didn't get too antsy until about 2.30pm (right when I was getting DP's dinner and work stuff ready) so I had him in the bath at 3.30pm and he was fed and asleep by 4.10pm! I think he might wake somewhere between 10pm and 12am, but then I hope it's only once after that and before tomorrow morning! Days like this I wonder how DP (and myself for that matter) expects me to work at home!!! Especially when I have to keep the munchkins quiet while he sleeps!

Anyway, the others need baths, so I'm off (like a bucket of prawns in the hot sun!)

Hehehe, I didn't mean to worry you Mel!!!! Seven drifted off about 5ish after a little feed, she won't take a dummy, but I can hear her stirring now and its just after 6. This is ok, I can manage to do a few things in the time she naps.
She went 3hrs between feeds overnight last night, and I have noticed that she does go longer at night between feeds, which is fine by me!!!! Means I get a longer sleep period in between. I usually fall asleep feeding her at night anyway, because we sleep together, when she wakes, I just move her closer, make sure she's attached and we both drift off back to sleep! Its lovely!

I figure she is almost 6 weeks old, so she is going to start wanting more stimulation during the day. Am buying a play mat this week! She seems to like the singing toys and Mummy's face the most though!!!

Best be off, DS is asking for dinner. That headache didn't eventuate into a migraine after all! Yippee!!!

Oh, anyone know where I can get awesome beautiful baby clothes from? Need something for Seven to wear to our wedding in November. Have found a couple of things from Baby Beau and Belle but they are so dear!!!!!!

Quick question - is anyone else's baby drooling? Eli's been doing it a lot today and has been really unsettled for the first time, was awake from 7am - 2pm with only 5 min naps then he'd wake up crying. Can't be teething yet, can it??!!

actually babies can be born with teeth and can be teething at any age its not common but does happen my sisters kids all had teeth early.

    Hey everyone,

I've been busy reading posts but hadn't realised I hadn't posted! So now I can't remember what and who I was going to respond to.

Thanks everyone for all your reassurances that I am not doing the wrong thing by giving Jett a bottle of EBM every day. I didn't think I was which still makes me puzzled at why some people are horrified at the prospect. I did know about the nipple confusion but Jett has never had a problem going from boob to bottle to dummy and back again otherwise I would have reconsidered the daily bottle (and the dummy for that matter ).

To those that seem to be having unsettled babies at the moment that are only doing the catnap thing, I read somewhere (can't remember where) that around 6 weeks of age babies tend to go through a funny stage where they cry alot and are unsettled and it is due to them suddenly realising that they aren't getting back inside, and this is it - life from now on! So hopefully that is what our bubs are going through at the moment and the important thing to remember is that as long as you are providing, food, warmth and love you can't go wrong. This phase will pass and in a few months time you probably won't even remember it existed! Sometimes babies just need to cry to let out their emotions and frustrations in the best way they know how. for all!

Ok, I'm off to express and go to bed. Jett has had an unsettled day too. Would only sleep if I was holding him, which meant I got nothing else done!

Thats how josh was but he seems to be more settled during last 3 days he wakes we put dummie in to see if its just comfort and he goes back to sleep. He is asleep now in the swing in kitchen pretty much next me.

I did 7 hours of cooking with the kids have frozen just about most of it for kids recess.

i put two loads on today, made a white chocolate cheese cake for desert tomorrow. 2 batches of scones. My mixer craped it's self had to whisk cream by hand grrrrr. @ savory batch's of scones and date and orange scones and a scroll. I also put together a book case. thats about it not much of anything else gotta remember to turn hot water on i need to wash my hair

made choc chip cookies with son and man oh man it made like 100 serious!!!!!
    it was so cheap to
    500 grams butter
    5 sifted cups self raising
