Cadence pood herself when the F what ever jet took off and flew over but Allegra jumped and stayed asleep it was very very loud
Are you talking about the F16 kel??? hehe I hope you were able to rest well with all that sunburn and have been able to hydrate ya self. Did hubbie enjoy the show too? Hope your headache went quickly i have had a head ache pretty much everyday since joshie was born.

DH was born with a heart murmur, apparently about 50% of babies show up with them, and in most most cases it is relatively innocent, I hope that on Friday everything comes up okay for Josh, and I hope hubbie feels some comfort form this.
My daughter was born with a heart murmur but went after 2 weeks and re testing and she has no issues with sports or anything these days but it was all a bit much with the job thing and the hearing thing and the crooked winkie lack of weight gain thing i think he just thought what next LORD!

Off to Centerlink to sort some stuff out today.

I have been a bit run down i slept 10 hours after coming back from hospital waking only to feed josh the rare times he want it. Then 14 hours from 3.30pm yesterday all through the night once again only waking t feed josh witch was1 or 2 feeds. I was only out of bed when hubbie was in it tag team swap. I so could have slept for another day or two i feel o.k maybe exaggeration but i know at least 5 more hours. This new style of breast feeding is taking every little bit out of my and the head aches im getting every day since josh was born anyone else got this and i wake with an aching back and my ankle ache too.

Squidipa - it can be frustrating dealing with them. Luckily I don't have too much to do with them, only a call now and then if our income has changed (which it might soon, cos I'm supposed to be going back to work in 3 weeks time.. ) I hope Josh is feeling better today.... and I hope that heart murmur doesn't cause him too much stress - lets hope its like my cat's - doesn't seem to effect his daily life at all !!

Kel - naughty naughty!!! You must drink water if you are out in the sun tsk tsk.... I hope you are feeling better today.

Vic - OMG - she's the same weight DD was when she was born - woohoo!!! Way to go mummy and bubby!! Keep up the good work!!!!! Miss M is 5.18kg at the moment - so she's not a big bub - just long and skinny (thats what the doc said...)

Both children are sleeping at the moment - yay!!!!! Miss M slept through again last night - woke at 3.30 apparently but DH just put the dummy in her mouth - I'm such a bad mum, don't even hear either of my kids cry at night - and the bassinette is right beside my side of the bed.. pmsl... ahhh.. must have selective hearing or something.. so yeah, she went to bed around 7.45pm, DS went to bed at 8pm and they were both up at 6am - yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DH thinks she is sleeping through cos of the chiro from the other week - so hopefully she keeps it up - time to put her into the cot now we think - getting too big for the bassinette - don't know how DS will go out of his cot though - but its time for the big bed.....

Hmm.. the monitor just went off... ahh.. yup.. someone stirring.. gotta go!!!!

Holy crap, sounds like we have a storm brewing outside!

We had a pretty good night last night - Veygas went down at about 6-6.30pm (stoopid daylight savings!! ) and woke at 5am for a feed! Yeehaw!! Mind you, I didn't get to sleep til about 10.30pm (thinking that veygas would wake up ...) Plus, we got some gift vouchers the other day and decided to use them to get a PS3! (yes we are gadget kings in this house!)

Squidipa - for everything you and your family are going through atm And I agree with you, most of the time, we know more than Centrelink!! lol!

Kel - air show, sounds like you had fun!! Hope you're feeling better and more rehydrated today!

Vic - I think the public hol is labour day or something!! Being a truckie (and Qld not having the PH) DP doesn't get the night off And being sick and having just switched to daylight savings, heavens knows he needs the night off, but ... what can ya do??

Big HI!! to everyone else! Gotta start getting dinner ready so DP can toddle off to work

    Hi Everyone!

We had a busy weekend with DH's grandmother having her 90th birthday celebration. That woman is amazing. 3 weeks ago she had her first fall and broke her hip. Before that she has been living independantly, walking about by herself unaided by people, frames or sticks, still doesn't need glasses and still has a very switched on mind. If you ask her her secret, she says it's because she doesn't eat her vegies!! Anyway, we cancelled her party after hearing about her fall, but she has recovered so well so quickly that we had to rebook it! She is up and about already using a wheelie walking frame. They gave her one without wheels to begin with, but she didn't use it properly - she just carried it around in front of her instead of putting it down. 3 weeks after breaking her hip at 90!!!!

We had a housewaming party at a friends house on Saturday night and yesterday I slept most of the day while DH did the housework. It was just lovely. I so needed that rest though. I really appreciate all he does for me.

Today our colds have come back with avengance. Poor Jett woke up with a nasty cough and he's been sleepy all day, not even clingy like he was when we first got it last week. My throat is sore again and of course now I have a shocking headache.

We had our 2 month check up today and our weigh in figures are:
    4940gms - still haven't hit that 5kg mark!
    Height - 57.5cms
    Head circ - 38.5cms
Although he's not stacking on the weight on or growing flat out she is happy with his progress. I'm not tall and neither is DH so although he came out above average she isn't surprised that he hasn't followed that trend. He looks healthy and in proportion, he's happy and is progressing developmentally and that is all that matters. Thankfully I had a MCHCN who is really understanding and looks at the big picture. Not like the nurse I had 2nd visit who got me all panicked over a 35gm loss when I had mastitis.

Squidipa - I don't blame you for wanting to sleep for another couple of days, especially after the weekend!

Kel - hope you are feeling better today. Sunburn and lack of water not a good combination.

Big hi to everyone else... I was planning on doing more personals but I have a shocking headache so not feeling up to it.

    Talk later!

    Hi everyone,

Mel, YAY on sleeping through!!!!! Glad that M's needles didn't affect her too much.

Shell, Great that Kye is enjoying tummy time. Jazz is finally enjoying it too. Not for very long, but enjoying it a whole lot more (i.e. waiting a few minutes before screaming the house down LOL!).

Vic, how cute about the giggles and raspberries. Sometimes Jazz blows raspberries on my boob it always cracks me up, like shes copying me blowing raspberries on her tummy. Still yet to have giggles, she sometimes goes "ha ha ha" in her sleep, and she does a cute little 'sneeze laugh' when she gets excited. Can't wait for those infectious giggles though!!!

squidipa, so sorry that the hospital mucked you around, that sucks. I hope the heart murmur is nothing to worry about, I don't really know much about them... I hope Josh is better It's so scary when they are not well, its hard to know what is ok and what is an emergency.
Centrelink suck. We waited in line there for an hour one time just to be given an appointment which we waited another hour for in the seated area, what a f-ing PITA! That Cab. Centrelink is so bloody slow too! Slower than any I've ever had to go to! And horribly understaffed!

Kel, hehehe love your ticker pic, you've got a little miss serious! Jazz puts on her serious face most of the time too, it is so funny lol! Poo about the sunburn, that sucks!

MT, your grandma sounds like my granddad was, nothing would stop him! He'd had a triple bypass on his heart and still went in the City 2 Surf 8 weeks later (had to take a wheelchair JIC but didn't use it, even up Heartbreak Hill (we were worried too, considering the name of it LOL!)! So great that she is doing well, lol about not eating her vegies!!!

YAY! for holidays Bear and Pixie. Shel and I want to go away sometimes next year, just gotta work out where...

Had a shocker last night. Jazz got her 2mo immunisations yesterday. Didn't go too bad, she screamed the surgery down for about a minute and then she was fine. Was exhaustingly irrated all afternoon though, wouldn't settle unless she was in our arms being rocked. The heat didn't help, 35degrees inside at midday The when we finally got her to sleep after a tepid bath, I took her temperature to find it had gone up a whole degree, to 38 degrees, in two hours. Gave her some panadol but noticed she wasn't weeing very much and was pretty floppy. Freaked me out seeing her just lie there, when two hours ago she was screaming her head off. Had to get up her up every two hours, checked temp and gave her some booby, make sure she was ok. She's not too bad this morning, temp is down to 36.5 and we've had a little bit of play time with smiles and all that so I know she is ok. Boy was I worried though... I barely slept at all I woke to every little noise. I'll probably go down for a nap with her when I know shes going to sleep for a while. I get so frustrated when I go to lay down with her only to gte back up again 40 minutes later, I just get comfy and she goes nup I'm done sleeping so that means you are too!

Some good things about yesterday... had my first child health nurse appt. She's a bit of a ditz, but nice enough. Jazz is 5.8kg, 60cm long (up from 3.79kg, 51cm long at birth!). My little chubba! The receptionist at the drs surgery tried to tell me she was too big (WTF do you know? Your just a receptionist!) but I just smiled and said yesah shes a beautiful little chubby bub don't you think! Hehehe, no one argues with a mum about whether their child is beautiful lol! Also got a mums group starting in two weeks every Monday... missed out on the one with bubs Jazz's age which is a bit sad for us but it's not the end of the world. I really just want the adult company lol!

Shel is being an absolute angel at the moment (I had a thought that maybe she'd read the posts I'd written PMSL!). The other night she ran me a bath and cooked dinner while I was in there, HEAVEN! And two nights ago she held Jazz while we ate dinner so i could eat two handed! She cooked dinner again last night, and stayed up until Jazz's fever had gone down. Yesterday when I was at CHN appointment Shel cleaned the house, I came home to vaccumed and mopped floors and a clean bathroom! She has started to settle Jazz at night and put her to bed properly (i.e. ASLEEP rather than just plonking her in there wide awake!) so that I can come to bed and know I don't have to get up again in 10 minutes. I borrowed the book "Science of Parenting" from the library, which is great BTW I recommend it to everyone!, and Shel (who usually won't even read the TV guide ) LOVES it! My saviour was a book, who'd have thought!!!

Well, gonna go. Nappies need to be on the line (its a great drying day, 7.30am and already 22 degrees inside) and I should have breakfast before missy moo wakes. Wonder what kind of day we're going to have...!

    HEARING TEST TODAY EVERYONE!!!
They want him sleep for 2 hours not going to happen at 1.30 being appointment 3pm is his off time and since his fever he seem like more startled and shakes his arms like he is startled when sleeping and is defently not over what ever it was. He will get imunised Friday if he is better

    Hello all

Leash - know what you mean about the heat yesterday. Omg it was sooo muggy here too! I was tempted to go in the pool but yeah had kye with me so couldnt
I cant wait till Xmas time, he will definitely be going in the pool then! I am buying him one of those floaty things that have the sunshade over the top. I can just see him out there now, he loves the bath so I dont think we're gonna have a problem with him not liking the water. Gonna buy him some sunnies too so he looks the part hehe

I went to Target the other day and brought him his first set of swimmers They're those two pieces with the shirt and padded pants hehe... so cute!
I thought I better be safe and get a bigger size with the rate he's growing so got a 1 PMSL If it is too big he can at least grow into it. Brought another few cute outfits as well, took a stab at the size - got 0's and you wouldnt believe it but it is only slightly baggy on him so dunno how long they will fit him for. I stood in Target for ages pondering on the sizes to get, cant believe how fast he is growing!!

On another note, its weight check day tomorrow.... I'm hoping now that I have him on a more clear organised routine that he wont have another gain like last week
I will be so gutted if its another 600 grams! I'll let ya all know how I go!

Anyways finally got the man to sleep - he is still being a little bugger during the day and not sleeping in his cot. The only place he will sleep is in his swing
Ahhh well I guess I should be thankful he is at least sleeping LOL he usually crashes out in there for like 2 or 3 hours

I am thinking about buying him a F&P bouncer/rocker thing or otherwise one of those fold out kids sofa's but yeah havent really made up my mind as to what is going to be better... anyone have any opinions?

I've gotta go out sometime today to Pac Fair to lodge a receipt with Medicare so will go into Toys R Us and see what they have. Omg thats what I didnt tell you guys!
Kye's Paed Bill for when he was in hospital was $864.00!!! Just about died when I received it in the mail. I am soo hoping I get most of that amount back.
His hospital expenses (xrays + paed bill) came to a thousand dollars

Anyways I am starving, must go and eat while the man is sleeping.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Shell, I don't know what I would do without our swing/rocker/seat combo. We have abouncer but its really only good for when she is awake as if shes asleep and she moves a little it bounces and she startles. The rocker we have turns into a stationary seat which is the best I can rock her to sleep if shes cranky and then lay it back for her to sleep.
I probably wouldn't go the sofa, but thats because I take her outside with me in her seat and I prefer to know she is a little way off the ground. If its just for inside though it'd be great, as long as they can't roll off onto/into something hard when they start to roll.

I just want something that he can sleep in during the day that is more comfortable for him. I have him in the swing at the moment and man it just looks uncomfortable

I thought the F&P Newborn to Toddler rocker?

Oh and I have just uploaded a cute pic that I took this morning. My best friend sent him that suit he is wearing, sooo suits him haha

Sasha - we have a FP rocker thingy, like Leasha's it rocks, but then it also has a stable foot thing to stop it moving. It also came with toys (but having been through the whole brood, heaven knows where they are now! LOL!) and it has a vibrating switch! It was the only lace DS2 would sleep when he was a bub, but this little man will sleep just about anywhere atm!! (currently across my lap and I can feel my left foot going numb!)

We also had nearly $1000 of hospital and paediatric expenses and all of the receipts we have need to get redone cause there is something wrong with all of them (in one way or another) and medicare are refusing to pay the rebates on them as they are atm

Pixie & Bear - have a fabbo holiday guys!!

Squidipa - GL with Josh's hearing test today we'll be thinking of you guys!

Leash - Yay for Shel helping out more! And I hope little Jazz is feeling much better today

MT - hope your head feels better, I hate headaches!!

Big Hi to Vic, Kel, Mel, Rachel, CM4E (and I think I always manage to forget someone, so sorry if I forgot you!) Have a good day all!
