Leash honey, if it makes you feel better then by all means cry with her!! When my eldest was a baby, he was very similar to Jazz - never wanting to sleep, always wanting to feed and sometimes when he cried, I'd just hold him and sit on the lounge or lie on the bed and cry too ... in fact, I have done that with all of them now! Big for you hun! And for Jazz not having craniostenosis!!! with the chiro!

That reminds me - does anyone know how to get allergy tested? DD came up all blotchy / welts and swollen the other day, out of the blue and all over her body, face, arms, legs ... took her to the ED where they checked her over, gave her a dose of antihistamines and said it was an allergic reaction that could have been caused by ANYTHING!!!

Anyway, might post in medical conditions forum as well!

MM - I think with allergies they take blood tests don't they? or do a pr!ck test on their arms or something

Leash - you poor thing!!!! but yayyyy for the diagnosis of Jazz - definitely see Scott I saw him again on Tuesday - cos I was worried about Miss M's wonky lookin head - her head is fine - its just wonky.. lol.. if you want a visitor tues or wed lemme know k? I was going to text you last night, but figured you would be busy with your sis but I am thinking about you guys!!!!

beck - can't help you on the tips for unwrapping - Miss M sleeps on her belly - so no wrapping here (and hasn't been for about 3.5 months!!) lol

Hello to everyone else, I'm at work (lunch) still supposed to be working through lunch though - got 4 settlements tomorrow to do, my boss is away, so is the receptionist and the office manager - so its a couple of secretaries - one solicitor and me!!!! Arggh... too bad if something goes wrong - I'll have no help!!!!!! Have I mentioned I hate conveyancing?? hehe

Miss M went to the doc this morning she has a horrid cough that is waking her up all the time. But they couldn't find anything wrong with her - just a cold thats gone to her chest so it should pass in time. DH is at home with her at the moment, DS is at care.

I'd better go, get back to work I suppose

Hi all, thanks for making me feel so welcome, wish i had joined earlier, would have made those stressfull times a bit easier having a group to share them with! but better late than never hay!

Squidipa: i dont mind being called Becka atall grace startles herself so easy aswell! its good that you have moved up a size in nappies, makes you really notice how much they have grown when you go to put an outfit on that used to fit and now is to small!! And i had a little laugh at your story about getting peed on! the other day i picked Grace up out of her car seet and wondered why she was wet, thought it must have just been dribble and didnt look, got in the house and went to put her down, lets just say it wasnt dribble and it wasnt wee!!!!! thank god we were home and not going out as it was all over me and her!!!! YUCK!!!

MT: Thanks for the advice! I have tried all the different types of wraps, the swaddle me and a big muslin one, also the velcro ones, small, medium and large, same result with all, both arms fully out!! she must be strong, or just really wiggly!! last night i re-wrapped her while she was still asleep and she went till 1pm so will just have to keep trying that! Will try leaving one arm out and see what she thinks of that! She cant roll over yet so guess its not to much of a problem yet. thanks

Beema:Grace has her Imms on monday, im dreading it!! we both just sat there last time, she screamed then sobed for ages and i sobed....she had a urinry tract infection at 10 weeks and had to have bloods taken twice and an iv drip and they couldnt find the vain in one hand so tried the other and it took so many attempts to get the needle in....im dreeding the jabs but will try not to let on to her as she really picks up on other peoples stress! hope Nakita is better after hers! BTW what a beautiful name!!

Any way, Sam has been in sydney for a few days but is back tonight, ive been so lazy while he has been gone and have a ton of house work to do before he gets home so the house look half decent!! better get to it before grace wakes up....i managed to get her to sleep in her cot this arvo...yay me

    Hi all!
Well I'm at work (hehe) and been such a busy little beaver this morning - lets just say that I hate clients, I hate banks and I hate other solicitors - its not been a good morning!! lol

Beck - you'll have to let us know if you want to catch up with me and Leash Yay for getting Grace to settle in her cot woohoo!!

Leash - next week meet up yeah? I'll have to bring aricyn around too if thats ok.

MM - I get LOTS of leaky information out of my head.. I just call it unuseful knowledge.. lol... didn't get much sleep here either last night if that makes you feel better!!!!

Sash - yay for the small gain M gains about 100g a week I think..

    Hello to everyone else *mwah*

Miss M decided to wake up at 4am - just chatting away merrily, not upset, not hungry.. just chatty... so we took her into our bed at around 4.30 - she dropped off at around 5.15am and then woke again when Aricyn hopped into our bed at 5.45am *yawn*

Was sooo funny this morning.. DS pulled the sheets off DH and said "oooohhhhh poo poo" (pointing at daddy's doodle)... pmsl... was soooo funny... we cracked it.. especially when he turned around and then said d.i.ck... absolutely hysterical... we're like.. did he just say what I think he just said... lol.. dunno where he got that word from

Anyhoo, better get back to work

Leash - next week is good - will also put on happy pants Dunno about him with a xmas tree - we don't "do" christmas, so we don't have a tree... and I dont' think mum or his other grandparents had one last year either.. might just shock him thats all.. he's pretty good if I tell him not to touch something (over and over forty THOUSAND times)

I still wrap joshie he likes it Joshie startles hims elf way to easily and wakes all the time. At moment we arnt even get sleep through the nights he is feeding at 11pm and 2.30 and then either 4.40 or 5.30 then normally every 1.5 hours. HECKTIC!!!

I have burst into tears say just take him for 1 hour i NEED to sleep. and last night josiah spewed up the whole formula feed. Think it was my fault as i kept falling asleep and eh was getting air he burped and the whole lot came up.

    Hi Everyone,

Just a quick one! Off to bed now - it's late!

Leash - Glad to hear about the docs diagnosis. And sorry to hear about the feeding/sleep frustrations. Don't feel bad if you need to cry along with Jazz, and don't feel weird about it either. It is perfectly normal, quite therapeutic and you are only expressing the way you are feeling! I have done it on many an occasion when Jett has cried and screamed and I have no idea why! It is heartbreaking to hear and when you are suffering from a lack of sleep yourself it ain't easy to stay strong and not breakdown.

Pixie - You have way too much motivation today! Can I have some? My house really needs the once over but I just don't have the energy (or inclination! )

Squidipa - Yay for hubbies interview. Goodluck, I hope it goes well. And congratulations on Joshie's weight gain. Fantastic news!!

Mel - Poo for DD not feeling well! I hope she feels better soon.

MM - Oooh yay for the house hunting! Getting exciting! I thought you went to GP for allergy testing referral? Sounds nasty - poor darling. Must have been awful.

Bec - Jett is still being wrapped too. I have experimented a little with trying to train him out of being wrapped. We were told to start wrapping with one arm out, followed by both arms out and then wrapping loosely until they are used to that and from there no wrap!! I have tried all three but he just kept waking up about an hour earlier than normal. Although the one arm out didn't seem to bother him too much. I could have persisted with it, but he isn't showing any signs of rolling in bed yet so I figure I will try again when that all starts to happen. I think if she isn't showing signs of rolling yet to not stress about teaching her to sleep unwrapped, but maybe try a bigger wrap so you can get the ends tucked in easier, or perhaps try a ready made swaddle, they type that all you have to do is put them in it and velcro it shut! They are made to be inescapable! Jett has a miracle blanket and a swaddleme wrap. I have tried using a standard wrap but there just isn't enough tail ends to wrap well and he gets out really easily.

Ok, not much to report here, had a day out today and Jett was very very good. Was a bit grizzly when we got home and wouldn't go to sleep, but of course he eventually dropped off! Another day out again tomorrow, followed by some friends over for dinner.

    Ok, bed time

    Mwah!

Jett is still being wrapped too. I have experimented a little with trying to train him out of being wrapped.
No need for us to do that here, K has just done it himself LOL! The past two nights I have put him in this Ralph Lauren long sleeve suit which has no legs (like a sleeping bag with just elastic round the bottom) and he has slept the usual 8:30pm ish through till 5-5:30am.

I think around the 4 month mark they are learning that they want to do their own thing. K was a little bugger yesterday morning, just would not go to sleep no matter what I did. Evenutually after his 2pm feed he slept for 2 and a half hours! After reading some of your posts about the troubles you are having with sleeping I think I am very lucky that he is sleeping is as good as it is!

He didnt drink that much yesterday, I think the total was around 750mls and he still slept through the night, was really surprised as I was sure I was going to have to get up to him to do a feed. Weigh in day again today, looking forward to seeing if him having this cold will make a diffrerence to his gain, I wont be surprised if it doesnt LOL but yeah last few days he hasnt had his full quota of milk so there IS hope for a gain LESS than 200 grams hehe

Leasha - are you referring to the back of Jazz's head? K's head is very flat at the back. I try to change his sleeping position every now and then - I have changed his cot around three times already since he was born. I've moved the mattress so he lies both ways. I asked the nurse about it and she said it is completely normal at this age and that in time it will 'pop' out. Sometimes I find myself looking at other babies though just to get reassurance that yes it is normal, makes me feel better PMSL

Anyways tummy is rumbling, gonna get brekky while the man is still asleep!

BBL to let ya know the verdict (K's gain)
