I have burst into tears say just take him for 1 hour i NEED to sleep. and last night josiah spewed up the whole formula feed. Think it was my fault as i kept falling asleep and eh was getting air he burped and the whole lot came up.

    Hi Everyone,

Just a quick one! Off to bed now - it's late!

Leash - Glad to hear about the docs diagnosis. And sorry to hear about the feeding/sleep frustrations. Don't feel bad if you need to cry along with Jazz, and don't feel weird about it either. It is perfectly normal, quite therapeutic and you are only expressing the way you are feeling! I have done it on many an occasion when Jett has cried and screamed and I have no idea why! It is heartbreaking to hear and when you are suffering from a lack of sleep yourself it ain't easy to stay strong and not breakdown.

Pixie - You have way too much motivation today! Can I have some? My house really needs the once over but I just don't have the energy (or inclination! )

Squidipa - Yay for hubbies interview. Goodluck, I hope it goes well. And congratulations on Joshie's weight gain. Fantastic news!!

Mel - Poo for DD not feeling well! I hope she feels better soon.

MM - Oooh yay for the house hunting! Getting exciting! I thought you went to GP for allergy testing referral? Sounds nasty - poor darling. Must have been awful.

Bec - Jett is still being wrapped too. I have experimented a little with trying to train him out of being wrapped. We were told to start wrapping with one arm out, followed by both arms out and then wrapping loosely until they are used to that and from there no wrap!! I have tried all three but he just kept waking up about an hour earlier than normal. Although the one arm out didn't seem to bother him too much. I could have persisted with it, but he isn't showing any signs of rolling in bed yet so I figure I will try again when that all starts to happen. I think if she isn't showing signs of rolling yet to not stress about teaching her to sleep unwrapped, but maybe try a bigger wrap so you can get the ends tucked in easier, or perhaps try a ready made swaddle, they type that all you have to do is put them in it and velcro it shut! They are made to be inescapable! Jett has a miracle blanket and a swaddleme wrap. I have tried using a standard wrap but there just isn't enough tail ends to wrap well and he gets out really easily.

Ok, not much to report here, had a day out today and Jett was very very good. Was a bit grizzly when we got home and wouldn't go to sleep, but of course he eventually dropped off! Another day out again tomorrow, followed by some friends over for dinner.

    Ok, bed time

    Mwah!

Jett is still being wrapped too. I have experimented a little with trying to train him out of being wrapped.
No need for us to do that here, K has just done it himself LOL! The past two nights I have put him in this Ralph Lauren long sleeve suit which has no legs (like a sleeping bag with just elastic round the bottom) and he has slept the usual 8:30pm ish through till 5-5:30am.

I think around the 4 month mark they are learning that they want to do their own thing. K was a little bugger yesterday morning, just would not go to sleep no matter what I did. Evenutually after his 2pm feed he slept for 2 and a half hours! After reading some of your posts about the troubles you are having with sleeping I think I am very lucky that he is sleeping is as good as it is!

He didnt drink that much yesterday, I think the total was around 750mls and he still slept through the night, was really surprised as I was sure I was going to have to get up to him to do a feed. Weigh in day again today, looking forward to seeing if him having this cold will make a diffrerence to his gain, I wont be surprised if it doesnt LOL but yeah last few days he hasnt had his full quota of milk so there IS hope for a gain LESS than 200 grams hehe

Leasha - are you referring to the back of Jazz's head? K's head is very flat at the back. I try to change his sleeping position every now and then - I have changed his cot around three times already since he was born. I've moved the mattress so he lies both ways. I asked the nurse about it and she said it is completely normal at this age and that in time it will 'pop' out. Sometimes I find myself looking at other babies though just to get reassurance that yes it is normal, makes me feel better PMSL

Anyways tummy is rumbling, gonna get brekky while the man is still asleep!

BBL to let ya know the verdict (K's gain)

sasha i wish i had the same type of sleeping as you with kye. Altho i was more alert last night making me able to wrap josh he did skip his 2 am feed. yay.

BTW dunno if i replied to you vic but josh has started to fuzz at the boob. and for the time being i am keeping ff and bfing up and on wednesday we will take things from there as it is our next pead appointment. But dont mean to be an atention seeker here but have you or anyone wondered if josh is on 300ml of formula a day now and gaining those amounts would i be right in asuming he could double those figures when he goes on formula permanetly???
180 ml 5 times day the tin says.... altho to be honest i think he will drink more or at least want more formula throughout day. at moment we are watering down the 300 ml total as it is making a 120 botle go to 140 and the 180 bottle to 200mls.

we reweighed josh mind you i did not see the scales hubbie did it so hoping done right but as you would know vic its hard to go wrong with the scales we own. since wednesday josh has gained a further190 grams. every day i weigh him i never see a decrease just a slight increase so no real fluctuation. So there fore i have to take it as real weight.

Any how what are your thought everyone!!!!

on a side note i got peeded on in bed as hubbie did the nappy last night and the wee went all down the front of me like as tho i wee'ed my self ewwl i know then he peeded as hubbie put him on scales too much for him to hold on hehe obviously needed to go.
